LONG runner intakes are a must. TQ wins races, not HP. Especially getting a truck off the line. Good vid as always. I found similar results in testing this on the Nissan Titan platform.
I guess this shows Ford knows what they are doing. Lighter Mustang can afford less torque and for more horsepower. Heavier truck needs the torque and sacrifice horsepower. In stock form. Hey sometimes the extra horsepower makes up for less torque and sometimes not.
This isn’t at all what he’s showing. The GT manifold makes more HP when tuning is available and you can push the engine north if 7000rpm. On a stock tune truck the gt manifold does nothing for you.
Thanks....great info...I didn't see any testing results for the GT manifold...did I miss a vid??? Looks like you've picked up HP also w/ a 107.59 MPH. That's outstanding and looks like a PB for this truck. All the numbers were better especially that 4-1/2 MPH increase over the past E30 test. Air was better but that's still a big jump! Not hard to get in the 12s with a F150, Ecoboost 3.5. Custom Tune, E50, IC Upgrade that is a recipe for mid 12s. Add pumps and full E85 and 11s are touchable
@@BoostedF150What exactly does that mean? Does running a taller than stock overall diameter tire make the ECU think you're going slower than you really are?
@BoostedF150 I'm looking at a 2024 2wd version my only goal is to keep it stockish as I can and it's mostly a tow/daily.. is there a huge difference performance wise vs a 4wd?..I do want to lower it.. put rims on it..exhaust.. but that's about it..I have a gen 2 swapped odin 90 foxbody coupe and just want to tow with it but don't want to look like no scrub 😉.. 😜 later on down the line maybe a 18 manifold..

DA near sea level would equate to around a 13.2-13.3@103-104mph. When he's running in 50-60 degree low humid air, he's likely running in slightly negative DA. Basically free HP.
Thank you for doing to R & D for the rest of us!
i agree the gt one is tuned lenght for 7500 plus rpm, and when u had wheel spin it allowed the engine to build some tq off the hit

TQ does win races in 1/8 and 1/4 mile. HP is for top end speed (roll stuff)
Torque is good, supplied with rpm.
Otherwise, Diesel pickups would rule. There pretty quick to 60 though
Torque absolutely does not win races, horsepower is what gets you across the finish line. Torque is what gets you off the starting line.

Yes ford spends millions on research and development, stick with the basics
