This is the best technique clipp on youtube of Jurgen Schult, no doubt.

This technique was imposible to improve. The movement is clean. The rotation is wide. The left foot blocking at the final was very strong, and the regularity og the throws were incredible. Schultz, Riedl, and Harting, the best techiques. In Women, Perkovic and Reintz

You forgot Wolfgang Schmidt, in my view the most beautiful technique.
Imagine if Schult had Schmidts physique.

If he had the physique of Wolfgang Schmidt, imagine how much further he wouldve gotten.

Yes, it is interesting that the WR is held by Jurgen at 'only' 6'4" tall but by the looks of it like another WR holder at 193 cm Mac Wilkins they both have extremely long arms so I wouldn't mind betting they are close to 7 feet wingspan.

i always thought the german way of stopping rather than following throw forces the implement further

He doesnt raise his leg to stay balanced after the throw, he does it so he can lean out the circle and here the disc hit the ground... 957 feet away😂😂😂

A lot of people think that west Germany thowers got their wr because of steroids. Maybe steroids helped, but their technique, their knowledge of the steps is unimproveable. Nowadays there are disc thowers with better strength and bench press bests, but even nowdays most throwes are stronger than Schultz, they are incapable to improve his throws

Why are there two Discus circles side by side?

I know people he doesn't reverse (excluding that one period in 86), but the finishes here seem so dynamic (granted, after the discus is long gone), it seems hard to call it a nonreverse. It seems somewhere in between.

To me it just looks like he non reverses hard, and whatever momentum he has left he stops by just switching his feet

this isnt his best throw "form wise" he rushes his right foot out the back, left doesnt come all the way around. instead of keeping his weight behind his hips, he drops his left shoulder, muscling the disc... almost like he's reaching over his legs...
