DUDE, you're literally a hidden GEM here on UA-cam! I couldn't help but subscribing. You have no idea how much time I've spent looking for tutorials as thorough as this one, and your channels is practically godsent. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge!
this video covers a lot (e.g. camera changes, applying filters/effects without editing the raw animation) really helpful for beginners as it is EASY to follow... great job~
Good stuff. The only thing I see wrong with the animation is the ground was moving faster than the zombie was walking. It can be remedied by putting less detail on the ground or matching the walk and the ground movement. But that is outside of the tool demonstration you were doing.
Hello there. I didn't take too much time doing precise panning of the background to the animation as it will eat a lot of time for the viewers to watch me. I was just demonstrating how the too is used. ;) Thanks for commenting!
Alas, it is very difficult to implement the key animation at the proper level in krita. But maybe someday they will bring it to a normal state. Thanks for the lesson! I want to believe that when I switch to Linux again, krita will be finished enough for animation.
i love watching your videos i used to do animation then i stopped to get better at my art but I always had one problem is the time sheet it really confuses me. So I was wondering if you could do a quick video about it. Example how long should I hold the object their??? when should I move it??? Other than that keep it up!!!
Sorry about that. There's nothing important in the end anyway. Haha! Seriously, I just didn't know I was pretty far from my mic. Thanks for commenting!
When I group my long background layers, line and fill, then apply add transform to the group , it cuts off anything outside the view window when I try to pan. :( I can only get my full pan if I add transform to a single layer.
Not all the time he is walking he stop for a second then he continue walking the background must stop with him, and i have a request can you make a tutorial on how to draw on photoshop a background like this for the people who dont use krita
Hey uh idk if you respond still but is the "building" animation different from rendering..? I tried moving the camera and now its not letting me render my animation. Help.
What can I do to get you to be my animating buddy! omg! this is what I need but I cant do backgrounds as good as you do....and im starting Krita as a beginner and I was looking for just this! Seeing your good at it I was wondering if you could help me animate this project with me? Nothing big I just need some help with backgrounds and moving backgrounds like how you are doing in this video! id love to zoom or something to get the gif of what to do and what maybe you could do. Just let me know! id love to collab!
Thanks for the tutorial..I would like to ask a question..What if I need to transform place my imported animation layer (Your Zombie Layer)??I tried many time but only one frame changes and others not!!Do you have any solution for this??
I'm very new to this and this has been very helpful, amazing video. May I ask what do you mean by "Build" in every time you were finished in a layer to animate? Do you mean save it "Ctrl + S" or is there something else?
Whenever I say "build" it means you try building the cache to your computer's memory (RAM) as you play the animation. The animation may lag if your computer is slow.
No matter how many times I click the "add new keyframe" on the animation curve nothing happens, also my timeline doesnt have any of those vertical lines no matter how many frames I make
@@Bioskye already solved, Animation won't work if transform tools set to fast preview. Just set it to Instant Preview. So Krita have enough time to calculate the curves
This question might be silly but I can't find an answer so far. But how does one stop Krita from cropping whatever info I have outside the canvas? I drew backgrounds wide enough to do panning but the moment I add a transform mask, Krita crops out whatever is not in the canvas. Could I get some help?
*Wonderful. Very, very, good. Didnt know that Krita can do that. Thanks one again, Ed.*

Love the multiplane tutorial!
I guess it's trial-and-error to match the zombie's walking pace to the ground plane?
Yes, this is just a demo how to use the camera movement. ;)
I love you'r work! Thanks for share with us. 🤗
Thank you sooo much Ed ,you're amazing.🥳
Cool! Thanks for being the god of animation in Krita.👍
this is refreshing. it is very important you extend the background size for this effect. Great job!!
this is what im waiting for
Very helpful, thank you!
Thank you for the amazing tutorial!
wow I was just wondering if I can create moving background when I animate using Krita today!!
Yes, it can be done in Krita 4. You just have to move the BG ( or whatever you want to move) so it animates on ones for smooth camera pans.
@@FrankMakesMovies ah thank u!

why doesn't Krita make motion easy like in flash? just add a keyframe then click "creat motion tween"

This helps me out alot because using hitfilm and blender was very confusing for me.
You can actually do more in Hitfilm, but for simplicity Krita is OK. Blender is way advance.
I like your content

The music was too intense. It started getting harder to hear you at the end.

Didn't know krita could do that.
Please how can I upgrade my krita to version 5.0
I just added a link in the description.

Drawing in Photoshop is same way as drawing in Krita. There is no magic in the software, just practice.
Can the setting on the filters be keyframed? Perhaps the noise filter can be animated so its not static static. :-)
Nope. Filters can't be animated.
Sir when you live video tutorial

downloaded 5.0 last night and transform tool seems to be different when I try to use it on

Btw Can I use the same method for zooming instead?
Yes you can! As long as you keep everything in a group layer and use Free Transform.
@@EdTadeo Thank u!
but what is the transform mask for?, i've seen it in other tutorials but i don't know what does it do

How can you loop an animation in krita
Can you export video without ffmpeg?
You can export by rendering as Image Sequence. But you may need a video editor that can compile image sequence.
I am not getting "Transform Mask" option under Animation Curve. Please help
Make sure you are using version 5..0+.
Whats is the build key binding
Where did you learn to start animating

Hey man, what are your pc components? I want to make animations but i dont know if mine can handle it.

Cool!!! :)
Can you zoom in as well and if you do is it possible to have the same amount of depth as say in Disney's Pinocchio?
I am preparing the new tutorial about it. Wait for it.
can an animation be saved as png to make it easier to move layers?
pls make a vid of your settings for brushs
I'm using default brushes, no special settings.
I have a question, why my curves doesn't appear when I using transform tools? I have to use the move tools to make it work but only linear curves.
Do you have krita five installed? Once an update comes out you have to download it again
@@Bioskye already solved, Animation won't work if transform tools set to fast preview. Just set it to Instant Preview. So Krita have enough time to calculate the curves

One way is to not use the crop tool. Instead use resize canvas or Ctrl+Alt+C. This may work and still have your entire artwork intact.
my pc want to explose every time i animate the background like this 😭

I guess so. But I haven't tried it on Android.
