- In 2000, Morley Safer traveled to the tiny kingdom of Bhutan, perched in the Himalayas, where gross national product mattered less than "gross national happiness."

What a great story even 24 years ago
This is what 60 Minutes was at their prime !
Peaceful minds ❤
Such a beautiful country and policy too.
Awesome❤❤❤
Power and privilege corrupt the soul. Mere humans start thinking about themselves as Gods on earth 🌎
But a strong defence mechanism and vigilance saves you a lot of trouble in the long term.
It is a crime to chop off a living tree. 👏 Thankyou Bhutan for teaching us beautiful lesson. Life on earth is worth preserving. Save your planet.
This is so interesting. Would love to live there.

''please don't do that this is not done in buthan you're teaching them the wrong values''
In Bhutan, traditionally if you help someone you better be their teachers, relatives, someone they know or the court. Otherwise, it’s automatically understood that you are helping the poor/beggars/serfs. But now that those children are not, their parents gonna be mad as Children’s could learn begging behaviours, Like you see in some countries where children just runs towards tourist and beg money. That’s where you have to understand that the conservative Bhutanese will think that the damage has been already done. Therefore, if you really wanna help even if it’s just pencils, go through under the permission of the school. You will be rather respected for doing so. ❤

CBS missed their pristine envionmental record.

Such a hateful organization.
How so?

It's pretty obvious when the hatred is aimed at you. And, conversely, you will be blind to systemic hatred when you are either the perpetrator or complicit. I've heard these things somewhere.
