Enjoyed the ride and your ramblings though sometimes it was difficult to hear you 👍 lovely countryside and I laughed out loud at the dictionary sympathy 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for that. I'm still not sure how to solve the wind noise without having to buy another helmet. Sometimes it gets worse when I close the visor! You'd think it'd be the opposite way round. I've also noticed that when I turn my head it gets worse, so it's definitely to do with the air rushing up behind the chin guard. I'll sort something out. Lol 👍
Cheers. I'm quite pleased at how it turned out. The weather's gonna be shite for the rest of the week, so it'll probably be next week at the earliest before I get a decent long run to see how it is on a day trip.
That’s a good idea with the sheepskin seat cover, and a cheap mod too! 👍😁 Cycled around Beecraigs years ago and we need to return there again for a pedal in summer 😁 Cheers Bruce
Thanks Bruce 👍 When you make something yourself folk often say "Why didn't you just buy (whatever the item might be). I'm waiting for the inevitable "Royal Enfield do a touring seat, why didn't you just buy that?" Type of comment. 🤣 The Beecraigs is definitely worth another visit. A lot of the paths have been improved. Loads of folk cycle there now. 🤣🤣🤣
Great journey Douglas. If you trim the elastic just watch when you take it off the seat that the toggle doesnt come off.....maybe burn the ends or put a beed on ends .... always seems more elastic when pulled in tight.
It works a treat too. We were on a weeklong 600 mile tour and my backside never got sore once. We even did 200 miles on b-roads in one day, so that was about 6 hours in total we were trundling about on the country lanes heading home.
@@banzobeans It definitely makes a difference. I was talking to a guy recently who bought a full sheepskin from Ikea for about £30 and draped it over the seat of his Interceptor and tied it underneath with some string to keep it in place. Both him and his pillion said it made riding long distances a lot better

Midweek would be best, it's really busy at the weekends.

I think I'll just tie them together so they can't slip through the toggle.
Nice idea. Thx
