I run the Barrett suppressor on my Barrett M99. It has been godsend as I am able to shoot it at my gun club when other shooters are on the line. One really needs to shoot an unsuppressed .50 BMG to really know the muzzle blast. The Barrett QLR really was a great purchase for me to be able to be a good neighbor on the firing line.
A potential cool video idea (if you haven't already done this) could be to test the long-range performance of various "sniper" rounds. Test different metrics and see the tradeoffs. I know you could probably find much of that information online, but a video of it could still be interesting and fun to watch. Personally, I'd like to see how 6.5 Creedmoor, .308 Win, 300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua, 50 BMG, .270 Win, and other rounds actually perform in a test. Also you could go into detail of the tradeoffs of availability, round weight, etc. Just an idea. Might not be a good one, but just my two cents.

If you’re ever bored and feel like destroying a ballistic torso, I’d be very interested to get your thoughts on 6.8 spc. For science.
It's not the super penatrator of level 4 armor that it is billed as, that I can assure you. Completely weetahdid choice for the military
@@chasefrancis8742 6.8x51 is an entirely different round to 6.8 SPC
More urban survival, or cqb videos please. Learning so much from them. Thanks!
That's so surprising how different two suppressors can sound
Also you've got those spam bots now
7:07 Hold on...
That seems like a bit more of the powder charge than I'd want to have burning out the ejection port, though.
Watch your faces!! 💥😮
Can we all be impressed with how easily/comfortably Micah shot a 29" barrel m107 with a suppressor off hand.
Color me impressed
yeah the recoil is not bad at all for what that is
“Pringles can” about says it all. I am still under an NDA but I worked with an engineer developing new suppressors. It is amazing the engineering that goes into them. This .50 cal suppressor has some Red Hot Chili Peppers in it.
So would you say they are "Giving it away, giving it away, giving it away now!" ?????????? 🤔
@@Whiskey11Gaming Whiskey, the NDA I signed is still in effect and I can’t comment any specifics on the project. My original comment herein was on the video suppressor used on the .50 cal. 😎
i love the sound your camera produces for gunshots, nice little pre bassy boom before the actual pow
I was amazed at the choices of different types of rounds for the .50 that existed long before the GWOT.
Yes it’s possible! Barrett makes a suppressor for their M107 rifle and it’s pretty darn quiet for what it is. But the can itself is a few thousand dollars. Which is most likely with this video is as I’m typing this lol
I was looking at suppressors on Gun Broker a few days ago, and sure enough the Barrett suppressors were there. 4 or 5 grand if i remember correctly.
🤔
@@EarthAltar bro it’s crazy that a suppressor cost that much lol. But hey, if one can afford the gun, they shouldn’t complain about the price on the suppressor. 😂
Yea I didn't even know until I saw the team guys whip them out on my first deployment
@@OliviaJadeSuperStan the thing is freaking massive as well. First time I found out about it It’s only because I saw it on Demolition Ranch UA-cam channel and he mentioned how much you paid for it after he was sending it back to Barrett for repairs. I almost threw up in my mouth.
I love your videos… they have helped me through some really dark times in my life battling depression.. thank you. Keep doing you
Maybe the real suppression were the friends we made along the way
I run the Barrett suppressor on my Barrett M99. It has been godsend as I am able to shoot it at my gun club when other shooters are on the line. One really needs to shoot an unsuppressed .50 BMG to really know the muzzle blast. The Barrett QLR really was a great purchase for me to be able to be a good neighbor on the firing line.
I can only imagine the looks when you pull out the .50 BMG 💀
the color grading of this video is phenomenal honestly. its really pretty
"That is extremely pleasant!" Needs to become a sound bit now. Also a perfect answer as to whether a .50 cal silencer is worth it 👌👍5:36
The interesting part is even with the can it still does throw the mat around more than most guns without cans will
I like how he had to lead him when you said "misleading" huehuehue
9:47 can we do ballistics tests with the muzzle flash of the 50 cal?
In 300 years people are going to think the most epic battle went down here
The larping on this channel is still more realistic than the hurt locker. Shot better too.
This was great for increasing our knowledge of suppressors
0:50 coolest transition ive ever seen. someone deserves a raise
That suppressor is insane. It sounds like a tiny rifle with the suppressor. No sonic boom at all! That is crazy!
This is important info.
Me, a poor.
I love the segway to the "get proper training" and those suppressors are nuts!!
If you want to see skip to see him shoot the gun with the suppressor 5:22
You almost had a 360 no scope at the beginning. You just needed to follow through.
Bobby West has to be one of the nicest guys in the firearms industry, let alone Suppressors. Super nice guy
I have shot the PGM Hécate II with the PGM supressor...very very surprised and impressed on how effective it was! Very soft to shoot too!
soft in comparison to a normal 50 or actually soft?
@@DiabeticDingus actually soft! The recoil still pushes a fair bit but smoother than a normal wieght 308 rifle. Felt more like some one shoving your shoulder than shooting. First time you try it, your brain doesn't compute what you've just shot...
How many stickers and / or patches do we, as people who endeavor to improve the lives of others - need to buy to allow charlie to have enough allowance to buy a new rake? I feel that he is suffering, deep down in the loss of the rake and I am worried about the emotional and mental toll it will have on him. When one loses a loved one, sometimes the hardest thing is to spot the pain and torment therefore it is ignored till it reaches a tragic end.
he must know the darkness to appreciate the warmth of the light
@@GarandThumb Hopefully he finds the light after his loss and doesn't end up like my dad after 'Nam. Spending all afternoon in a room with the door locked staring at weird paintings they made on plywood while over there, listening to Kris Kristofferson on the reel to reel. Find the light Charlie.
"...till it reaches a tragic end."
You mean...
...doing the forever-sleep because of a rake?
Naah Mieka absolutely love your off camera input always makes me chuckle haha
why did so many sparks come out at 6:58 ?
