Really learned a lot from this video! Thanks for going through it all slow and to the point.

It’s good that you found the oil and filters at all. Rotella T6 has been out of stock for months with no idea when it will be available again. Nice video. I appreciate how comprehensive your maintenance videos are. It makes it super easy for me since I have the same tractor. Love my 3025e

You have a Philips head bolt to bleed the air out which you see right in the middle

Those water separator bowls create a vacuum when the fuel valve is closed. That's why it wouldn't drain with the petcock open. If you crack open the top of the bowl it will drain.

Believe it or not but it seems that most of the john deere dealers, in my neck of the woods its called quality equipment, they seem disoriented and not able to find part even with a diagram, i bought a 5 series tractor, and i called to set up a time to pick up and they never called back, i had to call them 2 days later and the guy being apologetic with ever excuse, o just told then to keep the tractor, to many signs for me, the worst part is they are the dealer nearest me and i dont eant to change tractor brands but ive had this same reaction from 2 quality equipment dealers, which is strange, maybe they just care about the big farms and the 100,000 plus sale or service but if the high dollar stuff gets the same treatment, that would suck , i looking for a new pool place, unfortunately there is one outside of Danville Virginia and that a 2 hour drivw for me but it might be worth it, will have to see , but serve is the most important part of a tractor dealer, not just to sale you the tractor but to be knowledgeable and avaliable while working these tractors in the fields nomatter how big or small

Should go stock up on filters and oil before they're gone

Why the thin oil and not the 15w-40 that's recommended in the manual? I have the same machine and wondering if I'm missing something

0w-40 is good for cold weather operation. I operate my tractor frequently during winter months in Wisconsin.

I was looking for more info on the air separator. I do not think you are supposed to refill it w/fuel. Look at the manual, actually supposed to drain it about every day you use the tractor ("check and drain daily"). I think people think you only drain it when time to replace the filter. Does anyone else know? My impression is that what's in the reservoir is closer to water, so it would be doing its job, so if that's the case I can't imagine letting it fill with pure fuel.

If you have air in the fuel/water separator you will have problems with the tractor running. The water suspended in the fuel will settle out at the bottom of the bowl. Also any debris in the fuel will also settle out in the bowl.

Can you change the transmission filter and not the fluid? I'm not at 400 hours on my 2022 3025e but I have over 50. The manual says to change the filter at 50 and fluid at 400 hours. I don't want to lose gallons of fluid to only change the filter. Thanks!

You can do it, but you would need to be quick with the filter change. You could try putting a vacuum hose on the hydraulic oil fill to keep the oil from draining from the filter change.

Thanks. I changed it today. All that I lost was the fluid in the filter. Piece of cake.

    Computerized pain in the ass.
You can't just run a damn siple tractor anymore. Gotta have codes and all kinds of other crap to take away from a simple piece of equipment.
Just like what your talking about - the filters and what your supposed to replace them with when the manufacturer can't even get a supplier. WTF.
Not real happy with any of this computerized horse sh*t !
    Hate my 3025e !
