Cheers Onno. Paul
That is coming on brilliantly
Thanks Ian, that’s the worst of the build over me now. 😅 Paul
Great build Paul , as per usual
Thank you John. Paul
Brilliant, wheeker! 😊👍🏼
It’s reely Shem. 😂 Paul
Another interesting scratch build
Thanks Tom. Paul
As always brilliant work sir!
Thanks Kevin. Paul
Brilliant. I bet you were glad to get to that plain front wall! ;-)
100% Davie, that final side was a right royal pain in the what’s it. Paul
Hi Paul anther great video mate I really injoy it every interesting I got 2 of the new hornby APT/P POWER CARS for my old hornby APT/P TRAINS I will have to change the couplings on the new power cars and the old coaches so they cuopul up it is not to hard to do I hope you are your family are keeping well mate stay safe and well mate goodbye for how clive
Thanks Clive, sounds like you’ve got some nice new toys to tinker with. Paul
Excellent work Paul, the way you work methodically round the entire thing is a work of beauty.
This signal box is going to be a sight once its finished, top stuff as always.
Cheers Alex, methodical is much better sounding than the scatterbrained approach I think I’m doing. 😆 Paul
@@GalgormHall I can follow it so it's all good, just can't cut straight lines 😅
I can't do stuff like that so all I can do is watch in awe. I do enjoy seeing you work Paul. David.
Thank you David, it’s always nice to hear from you too. Paul
Great job on the brickwork Paul! I don't envy you cutting out those side walls.
I didn’t realise it would be so complicated John, just glad to see the back of it now. Paul
looking good keep up the good work on the ,layout thanks lee
Thanks Lee. Paul
Great work on the brickwork Paul, the attention to measurements always pays off.
Thanks Dave, looking forward to seeing your new video under development 😉 Paul
Great video, sir! Delicate and intricate hard work, but you pull it off magnificently. So much yet to do, but a pleasure to watch each step. Take care!
Thanks as always Anthony. Paul
Hi Paul - It is really coming together now the brick work is in place its going to be an impressive building.
Cheers Kev
Thanks Kev, it’s beginning to take shape now. Paul
Hiya Paul, another masterpiece in the making..not easy cutting some that, well done, cheers mate..Chris
I right pain in the ass in fact Chris but it’s done. 😆 thanks as always. Paul
Another great tutorial Paul can't wait for the windows section Regards Alan.
Cheers Alan, I’ve already test fit one of the window sections and it does just enhance the look so much more. Paul
Brilliant work again Paul, you are getting some good camera angles and your precision cutting is legendary! Must admit I am itching to have a go at this even though this particular design of Box would not be of any use on Kingsbridge Junction. Cheers Steve
Thanks Steve, if you do have a go don’t forget to share the you’re progress. Paul
Looking good...rather you than me having to trim around all those doors and windows. Getting it right on computer design is tough enough making sure the bricks are correct but to be able to get that perfect on plasticard brickwork must be nigh on impossible, but we can only do what we can do.
Keep up the great work.
Steve
Thanks Steve, slow and steady wins the race but I still see little imperfections. Hopefully once painted it’ll all pull together though. Paul
That was a really interesting tutorial there, cutting the windows and doors really isn't the easiest procedure to do accurately
Cheers Digger, hopefully a blind man on a galloping horse won’t notice the few imperfections. Paul
Greatly done - the idea to aline the brick"paper" is a great one.
What is your idea about the stairs outside - making them from Evergreen in scratch?
Thank you NGI. The stairs will be scratch built, currently looking at some Plastruct material to assist. Paul
Right-I also thought that tip about aligning the bricks was great. So simple but so easy not to think of.
Greeting
I'm following you from Brazil
Great technique! Thanks for sharing.
In VideoThe Scratch Build Series 3.2 - Adding The Brick Plasticard, you use a sheet with exposed bricks. Where did you buy this sheet and what is your reference?
Thank you very much for your tip.
God bless you.
Wow Oto, Brazil?! I didn’t think I reached the South American continent. Thank you for the comments and following. In answer to your question the brick sheet is a product by Slaters Plastikard, I’ve added product number details in the description beneath each video. Hope that’s of help. Paul
Nice video Paul. The box is coming along well. What are you going to use for the windows?. - Nicholas.
Thanks Nicholas. I have laser cut off the shelf windows for the main areas of the box and the remaining two plus the doors will be made using plastruct. Paul
Hi Paul, absolutely cracking series. I literally can't wait for the third installment!
Where do you find your Slaters 0401 plain bond brick sheets? I can only find the English bond version, which is slightly different. Many thanks for your great videos. Rachel
Hi Rachel, thank you so much. You can find the plain bond brick on Slaters own website or you can also try Squires, they usually carry the full range of product too. Paul
@@GalgormHall Thanks, Paul. I'll take a look! 👍
@@rachelharris9797 Its called Stretcher bond.
@@GalgormHall I found Squires and their link to South Eastern Finecast... Thank you for the recommendation. I am now looking forward to a little project of my own.
@@grays257 I just learned that today! 😀
Hi Paul interesting build. What have you done to your hand ?
Thanks John. Sorry about the unsightly hand, I’ve been cutting hedges and doing tidy ups as part of my job and occasionally they fight back. 😆 Paul
I would have pronounced it as your first episode.
I’m not sure what you mean Alan. Paul
@@GalgormHall How Gillingham is pronounced. The only one I know is in Kent and is pronounced as you did in part 1
Dear Paul, as I like your incoming scratch progress here just a little wall - a 1/4 hour guide for modelling an outstanding detail with

Hope you like it even if it is for 1/35 scale but it dous produce a creat eyecatchers in the scenery also for a single water tube under a branchwine inna hanging glen or something like this. Your Chancen brought me back in track with my Narrow Gauge railway project. So I am starting with a micro-layout in N-gauge track unshure going to 5.5mm/ft(1/56) or bigger by 7mm/ft(1/43,5) I am still measuring...
...but back "on track".
Best wishes from NarrowGaugeIsland,
Chris
Hi Chris, sorry, I’ve just spotted this old comment from you now. Thanks for the link I’ll give it a watch over Christmas. Paul
Peerless.
Very kind of you Leonard. Paul
