As a senior many a time I don’t understand what you say ! I understand it in following ways 1) decrease the speed of video to 0.75% (2) tap the screen on left two times so you can listen what you heard 10 seconds before and you can go backwards by tapping again and again to repeat what is said 😀
Hi Rich, Thank you for taking the time out of your busy day to assist seniors with with their inadequate skills concerning the purchase of a new iPhone. It was greatly appreciated.
I continue to rewatch these notes videos because I am reminded of the potentials that I frequently forget to use. It is such a robust app that it is definitely one the needs masterly to make use of its excellent assistive features.
I've been looking for some videos that I can share with my parents, and the tone, speed, assumptions of understanding (or lack of it) and the rationale for WHY to use Apple Notes vs non tech solutions is perfect here. Even as a tech guy that should've already know all this, I've learned some new things too. Thanks for making these!
Oh my goodness, Rich - thank you for your quiet and slow chat about Notes. I would love more info even about Notes - organizing into folders and subfolders, etc. I have searched before for basic instructions on Notes and found the pace far to fast, and the voices a bit irritating. I am actually fairly proficient with Apple devices (I bought my first Mac in 1987, and have only bought Apple products ever since). But as I get older I sure could use gentle help from time to time! Thanks again...
Very worthwhile. I have been transferring notes I stored in the Evernote’s app over to Notes. One suggestion I have: turning your phone to the landscape mode might make keyboard entry easier.
Thanks so much Mr Rick, your easy explained videos for seniors, how to use an iphone; this will be of great Help for a friend that shes having a problem with her new first iphone, thanks so much for all your help. Stay safe.
Hi Rich, I enjoy your videos. I have watched them several times. I have a tip for you that I have learned. If you like you can use an emoji in front of your folder name to give you a visual cue as to what your folder is. For example if you had a folder named “Books” you can use the books emoji. It would look like this “📚Books”. Kindness, Teresa
I do something similar. I search the internet for an image of an appropriate icon, save it to photos, edit if necessary and put the image into the note. You can press and hold on the image and select small images, to make it a little less obtrusive. This "icon" will show up on the right side of the title when looking at your list of notes. It is bigger than an emoji, for old eyes.
Great video, Rich! I am going to share this with my husband because he has so many problems using all the wonderful apps on his iPhone! You explained every tip slowly, in easy to follow terms and did not make anyone feel like a dummy for not knowing how to do these things. This video is even helpful for those of us who do use Apple notes on a regular basis. It never hurts to have a refresher look at the apps that can help us with the simple tasks our phones can accomplish for us! Thanks again, and I plan to watch your other videos to get more good ideas and info!
Glad I found your YT channel Rich. Learned a few things about Apple Notes from your video. Love the easy going delivery of info. Hoping to learn a lot more about my iPhone that I didn't already know. Going to have a look at your other videos to see if you have done a deep dive into iCloud, and also iCloud and all the ins and outs as they pertain to iPhone, iPad, and my iMac. The Notes on my iMac seems to work somewhat differently, the search feature being one of the things, and I don't know why. Thanks, Subscribed.
Great video series, Rich! I recently purchased an iPhone SE 2022 (3rd gen) and I absolutely love it! Your videos have helped immensely! I also recently got an iPhone 12 (like yours!) and it's absolutely *fantastic* in my humble opinion.
@@RichBowlin I *love* the SE 3's rounded-edges form factor. And in 'midnight' color it truly looks nice and refined. I traded-in the purple iPhone 12 I talked about above for a 'midnight'-colored iPhone 13 mini *FOR FREE* and I love the 13 mini as well. Both the SE 3 and the 13 mini are about the same size, both easy to keep in a shirt pocket when going out. Keeping the SE 3 for sure as I truly *adore* the rounded edges as compared to the 13 mini's squared-off edges. And the SE 3's rear-facing camera takes *outstanding* photos considering its price point!
Great thank you however in trying to create a folder I donot seem to have the folder sign at the bottom. all there is is a circle with a tick - a camera - a colouring and a new note still not sure how to create a folder. please help to find this. thanks
Enjoying your senior tip videos. Re note video, when I tap note icon I don’t see the drop down menu. What setting am I missing. I have 14 with latest updates. Thanks. Allen
Hey Rich, a coworker has turned off control center swiping do you know how to get it back on .I’ve rebooted the phone . Last week I just showed her how to swipe to bring up control center and she has already disabled it!
Hi Steve! Go to Settings>Control Center and toggle the "View Control Center in Apps". You should then be able to access it anywhere on your phone. Hope this helps!
I always get a notification that My iCloud account is full. How to clear it instead spending money to buy additional iCloud data? There are certain notes one can store over phone instead iCloud but how ?
It's been a while since I had an iPhone 8. I think you may be correct. You might try updating your software on the phone. If you can't create folders after the update, then your phone is too old for that feature. Apple usually supports phone for a long time (I don't run out and buy the newest phone every year) but after a while, some of the newer features are not supported on the oder phones. Thanks so much for watching!
thanks sir rich by not forgetting the senior and upgrading us

They are great Rich. I still go back & forth to use your tutorials. Thank you.

My pleasure!

SO good to hear that.
Thanks!
Thanks so much!

I still dabble with Evernote. But honestly, Apple Notes has come a long way and just work so well syncing across devices. Thanks for watching!

You're welcome. Hope it helps your friend!
You are the man I’ve been looking for! I need soooooo much help……
Well that's why I'm here :)
Nice one Rich. Informative - well paced and some calming music in the background at low level. Rich 😄
I use a blood pressure in a grocery stote and put the results on notes. Thank you for your helpful hints
Great idea if you don't own a BP cuff or don't want to take your own BP. I finally bought one.
Ok…I was watching this for my grandma but I ended up learning stuff I didn’t know! Thanks. She’s going to know more than me by the end of this series.

You're so welcome! I hope the video helped.

Title of note. This is my note.
Very well made, I would like to learn more about ICloud, thanks
Great idea! Thanks for watching.
Hi Rich, I have a lot of notes that need to be sorted into new folders how do I do that?
Brilliant !
Thanks!

Do you like your SE? I'm thinking about getting one since a lot of my viewers use that phone. I could make videos using different phones.

You need to tap and hold to get the drop down menu. Just tapping will open the app. Hope this helps!
Instead of typing, can you use the dictation feature?
Yes! I'm working on a new video on this right now!
How do you drag files into a folder. They don't appear at the same time. Also, how do you erase things on a list?

What comes up on your phone for notes does not come up on mine. I have a Apple 11
👌
You must have a different version of apples than I do. I can’t find the scanner in notes
Wow. You showed me how to do something I have not been able to figure out since I got my iPhone back with iPhone 3. Thanks!
Great! Thanks so much for watching!
This is my plant.
Could be good but it’s just a blank pic just voice. ?
Thanks!
Wow! Thanks so much!
