Hi Richard, Loved your video! Thank you for a notes video that I could actually follow. I have tried to follow a few other videos, but the instructors were talking and demonstrating so fast that I would have to rewind multiple times before I could follow what button they were pressing and where they were going. Please make more in-depth videos as I really like tech, but I just need to be able to follow along at a reasonable pace.

Nice video. I have used Apple Notes for some time and I agree with you, it is one great app... and free. I used to keep important information in word-processing files and in an app called Good Reader, but Notes works so much better. The folder option really helps organize things.

Hi, Rich! Thanks for these tutorials! Question: how can I get that panel open on the left side? When I open NOTES, I get a full screen showing a list of notes I created.
While holding your iPad in the landscape position, you should see a small square icon in the upper left side. Tap on that and you'll get the three panels. Hope this makes sense and works for you.
I have learnt a lot from you, Sir ! Respects 👍 please let me know : I create a folder in iCloud & name it Important Documents then I drag all my files into this Folder. However, when I search for this Folder ( Important Documents ) I do not see it and then I have to scroll down manually to actually look for it ! Files, I can search in the search box but how do I search for a Folder ? Your guidance would be highly appreciated and Thank You for your great work !

Rich I just subscribed. What a great video. Easy, concise and informative. I am guessing that to scribble a note you have to have the pencil? I used to be able to highlight a word and now I can’t….it was where you underlined,bold or italicized..so guess I have to buy the pencil …

Hi Susan! Yes, you need an apple pencil for the things I did in this video. You can choose text with your finger, copy and paste it, but highlighting and scribble and such require a pencil. Thanks so much for watching!

It would be helpful to scan a full page document and show how to allign it as you said you did with your insurance document multi documents so that they are straight

My son says that Pages on iPad is easier than Notes. I need the easiest one as I find it overwhelming with Notes. I am hoping you will do a tutorial on Pages…..I really enjoy your tutorials. I need some basics as I am writing my memoirs. Ann from Ottaw

Do you have any recommendation's on how to improve spell check/auto correct on Ipad? To me it's very frustrating that it makes so many errors and I'm thinking of turning it off completely. Maybe you have a video that covers this? Thank you. (BTW, I have version 9.)

How do you put notes into a 8.5x11 page for sending to a printer?
You can only print an Apple Note as-is. If you wanted to format it differently, you could copy and paste the note contents into another program such as Pages. If you're just looking to print an existing note on 8.5x11 paper, just make sure that's the paper size in your printer. Then just print the note as shown in the video. Hope this helps!

@Rich Bowlin Thanks for your video. I added the lines and grids and then went to how to create but after typing the title I pressed return. The lines were there but I then started writing with the pencil when the LINES DISAPPEARED and my hand writing was converted to typed text. My hand writing is not good enough for it to be converted to typed text so wrong words are written. Do you know what I'm doing wrong? Thank you for your attention and I look forward to your reply.
Hi! You need to choose the correct pencil. You've chosen the pencil with a little "A" on it. When using this pencil written text is converted to typed text. Choosing the regular pencil just lets you write down your notes. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!

I have watched many videos in the last few months about Notes and none taught me these basics that actually told me how to write and save the Notes which was the information I needed. Yep. This is an older video and Notes has new features. Will be doing a new update video the iOS 17 comes out in a couple of weeks.
I don’t have a menu at top of note page for pencil or to-list, etc. it’s not there and this isn’t covered. Also, my handwriting turns all to text. And, I can’t do a return for next line. Plus how do I erase and backspace. Nine of this is covered. I’m a senior and have tried to figure this out on my own. Disappointing that you’re assuming I know this as a beginner. Wrong. I’m moving along as you are not offering anything on starting. Really starting out!
I have the same problem with a brand new iPad 12 pro no top menu
What I would like to know is how to change the name of the note.
Open the note and type the change at the very top of the note. That’s all there is to it. Hope this helps!

How to store notes over phone memory as cloud space is limited and becomes full in no time?
I sure wish Apple would give more free storage space on iCloud. The only remedy is to buy more space. I spend $2.99 US a month. Thanks for watching!
