Great tutorial. I ran over some old wire fencing whilst mowing and it wrapped around the blades. The step by steps of this tutorial were perfect and I was able to move the mower deck and untangle the wire fencing. Now I know how to remove the deck when it's time to change the blades.

Thank you! When I lost the two nuts that hold the mower deck on, I didn't know how to get it back together but your video helped me m

Thank you. This was way easier with your instructions..I needed to take the deck off for a more thorough cleaning.
However, on the last use, I can hear the starboard (R) blade squeaking something fierce when engaging the blades. Is this something that can be addressed by a grease gun, or should I replace the bearing??
If so, how hard is it to replace?
Thanks again.
When engaging the blades, you will here the belt engaging the idler pulleys and you can hear a squeak. That is normal. If you think your blade bearings are bad, you should spin the blades (while the deck is off) and listen for the bearings making a loud grind noise or check for wobble (possible blade hub bad). You will need to disengage the blade brakes to be able to spin the blade easier. If you need to replace the bearings, this video should help you. ua-cam.com/video/5od2IxQJKeQ/v-deo.html.
I have a Cub cadet, but I still learn little tricks and things that might help me in the future. Great video. I wonder if you ever shown how to change spark plugs on a Cub Cadet XT-1? I am getting close to having to do that very soon. BTW I am amazed you do all that basically one handed. WOW
Hi Steve, thank you for watching and supporting the channel. What engine is in your XT1? I will do engine service (which will include the spark plug replacement)for you the next time I get a XT1 in.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines A Kholer engine. I know one spark plug is in the front but it's hard to get too. I thought you would have a trick or two to get it out.
I would need to know the model of the engine but I did perform a video on a easier way to take out the spark plug on a Kohler Courage? Here is the link. ua-cam.com/video/Qk1PVRTq3-Y/v-deo.html
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Ok I'll try to get it tomorrow. It's 12:15 am here. and I have to go to my shed. But I'll try to tell you later.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Thanks this helps.
Thank you. This video was exactly what I needed to see, for the exact tractor.

Will it be the same for the s130?
If you have a manual handle to engage the blades? Yes. If you have a pull button to engage the blades? No.
@@JohnsonsSmallEngines Bummer. I have the pull button . Can you do a video on that?
