      For round 7 you are working into the 24 front loops from round 6, and you end up with 30 stitches because of the increases.
      For round 8 you are working into the 24 back loops from round 6 and only doing single crochets so it stays at 24 stitches.
      Hope that makes sense!

Heres what I figured out for the fin direction: position the fin the way she shows in the final direction it should be in. Then flip it down towards you, hold the fin against the body, and make the stitch go through the fin then the body.

    Hi! I love this pattern, I am a beginner. I am doing the shell and I'm stuck between Round 3 (sc, inc) and Round 4 (2sc, inc)... What is the difference? Looking online, a Sc,Inc is two single crochets in one stitch, so what would 2sc, inc be? Thanks so much for making this video!

    • @onecentcrochet
      @onecentcrochet  6 місяців тому +3

      Hi! So for round 4, you would do a sc in the first stitch, a sc in the second stitch, and an inc in the third stitch. then you would continue this pattern all the way round! (6 times in total). (sc, inc) is a sc in the first stitch and an inc in the second stitch :)

    • @ana291cris
      @ana291cris 6 місяців тому +2

      a SC is a single crochet, while a INC is when you add two single crochet in one same stitch, therefore increasing the number of stitches. so in this case you will do a single crochet and then two single crochets on the next stitch, repeating for 6 times. hope this helps! 🥰

      Not sure if you figured anything out yet, but the bigger the yarn weight/ hook size (mm) the bigger the project will be on the out come. Example: if you use 4 weight yarn with a 3.5mm hook the project will be smaller then hers.

    Most of it was semi-clear but when I got to the shell it went down hill. My shell didn’t curve and I don’t know if I did something wrong or where I did it wrong because I can’t tell what she’s doing, it annoys me the that’s 1, 2, and 3 sc. inc. because when I try to search what the difference is I find no answers. Does anyone know the difference or a video that would help? No hate intended just sharing my point of view 😊❤ have a good day and ty for reading

    I am working on the transition from the top of the shell to the under part and adding on the legs and head right now. How does it go from 30 stitches to 24 once you go into the back loops? I didn’t see any decreases.
    2 SC, 2 fin, 3SC, 2 fin, 2SC, 2 head, 2 SC, 2 fin, 3 SC, 2 fin, 2 SC adds up to 24 but the previous round there were 30 stitches.

      @onecentcrochet  7 місяців тому +4

      Because we are going into the back loops of the round before the round where we get 30 stitches! So we aren’t going into the round of 30 stitches, rather the round with 24.

      I'm so glad I'm not the only one who had problems with that. I was so confused! But I didn't have the nerve to go back anymore. I just worked in less sc and more decreases in the end to somehow go from 30 to 18ish

    What does sc,inc x6 mean? Like, does it mean 6 inc in each stitch or what I’m so confused 😭

    • @x_creamyxcoffee_x
      @x_creamyxcoffee_x Місяць тому

      Oh it means in one stitch you do a single crochet, then in the other stitch you do a increase. (Repeat it six times) hope this helps 😁

      It’s probably the direction of which you’re crocheting them. Look in the video and see how she places the fins in the front!

    A person is making a free turtle pattern. The pattern is the same as this one except that everything starts with 8sc in mr and not 6sc in mr. I just wanted to let you know.
