Yeah, I kept watching the closed up head being stitched on and was shocked when you showed the Turtle with eyes, but didn't secure plastic eyes from the inside.... that was confusing!
These are so adorable!! Thank you. I was working on a bigger harder project and got really frustrated. I came here to make this and it made me feel better. Now back to the harder one. Lol 🥰💙🙏
just now finished crocheting the Turtle. looking beautiful. but i attached the legs slightly closer and it looks like legs are inside the shell. its cute though.
This is fantastic! Your beginner-friendly crochet turtle tutorial is amazing. I'm excited to try making one myself. Your creativity is truly inspiring! 🐢🧶
I hated doing this SO much because I didn't notice that it was a pattern you need to sew until I got to the head, but it's so darned cute that I can't complain. Even if my legs didn't pop out until I put another row in, and even though I hate sewing. But it's SO CUTE!!!!!!!! Thank you for the pattern!
@@AvocadoHandmade It's adorable! I still hate sewing parts on, but it's so cute I can't help but be happy I made it, and will definitely still smile every time I look at mine 🥰
What a cuteeeee. I definitely going to try this. 😍 Thank you for the tutorial. 😊 Just one question. What do you use for the eyes and how do you attach them if you already closed the head. Thnx....
Hello! Tha k you for your love ❤ When i finished the turtle, i used hot glue to attach the eyes to the head. You can also attach the eyes before closing the head. Good luck 🍀🍀🍀
Only have one gripe and its that it wasnt instructed to add the eyes during the head creation process, a beginner may not realize that would need to be done then, other than that this is a great beginners pattern and works up quickly. Good practice for those learning the magic circle.
This is such a cute thing to make, however my only recommendation is putting the safety eyes in (the head) before you add the stuffing, and show it shut.
I used chenille yarn. A type of domestic Chinese yarn, I don't know the brand name. This yarn is quite easy to crochet, fast and soft. Suitable for those who like to crochet large stuffed amigurumi Good luck 🍀🍀🍀
What kind of eyes do you use? The Amigurimi safety eyes I have can’t easily be put on after you’ve already sewn the neck closed. I’d have to finish the head/neck, then attach the eyes, then sew the neck closed. (And then later I’d attach the head to the shell just like you did in the tutorial). It’d be nice to be able to put on eyes without needing access to the inside of the work to secure the eyes.
The type of eyes I usually use are also safety eyes, but I usually use hot glue to attach them, because I usually attach the eyes after I've finished the product. Happy crocheting☺ Thank you for your love and support❤❤❤
This is so adorable and I am looking forward to having a go. Could I ask is there any way of showing the switch between colours from the shell to the body a bit clearer? I am a little unsure of where the first row line of the cream yarn is meant to go?

According to my video tutorial, the 4th round you can increase as follows: R4. (2sc, 1inc)*6 total 24sc. If you want the turtle to be even bigger, increase it in rounds t5, t6... r5.
