I have 4 Kastking reels I started with one of the baitcaster reels and I love it!!!! So I got another baitcaster reel!!! Then I got one for my best friend and he loves it!!! So I decided to buy a spin cast reel for my wife, I got her the Brutus spincast reel and I love it lol. I just got the Brutus 4000 spinning reel today and I’m about to go try it out tomorrow!!! Kastking reels are badass! Hands down better than a lot of my reels that cost 3 to 4 times what I paid for my kastking! And they aren’t paying me to say that!!!! I’m like you I just fish!!!
Decent cork is getting harder to find, and more and more expensive. Low quality cork looks bad, and falls apart in no time... EVA foam is about the same price as poor quality cork, and won't fall apart like cork will - it's relatively available, durable, lite weight and affordable. Personally, I don't care for it... lol, but of all the available options for rod handle material, fishermen seem to prefer it to the others, sans cork.
Just got the 6.6 med moderate casting for my Brutus spincast reel...looks a little to much play at tip ...there is no fast action at 6.6 med..... Will this be ok for lures? Maybe cranks ...how about plastics?otherwise good looking rod
In my opinion “Graphite blank with Nano technology” rods is POS, why in the heck do we need that “cardboard” technology in fishing rods? Its not like we need to save weigh on fishing rods, I would rather have reliability over weigh savings. And I’m talking about GRAPHITE rods are so expensive and useless. Omg 🙈

Still trying to learn about rod & reels. What difference does the amount of bearings on a reel make? What’s the purpose of having more or less?
Makes it smoother...and quieter. More bearings are not always a good thing but they are important to know.

Hmmmm we dont really have a surf rod yet but check out the longest BRUTUS and see if that will work.
My son is 10 and he and his friends are going through my rods like candy. Just this weekend they broke 2 of them. I’m picking up 3 of these.

Pro Consumer Tip: If your rod has a glow in the dark tip I will never buy it... What happened to nice neutral designs and color schemes?
