- what's going on yall!! it's ya boy Mike super happy to bring you this episode!! you know I like to post the back half of the season back to back. This episode was absolutely traumatizing. And even with The Red Wedding back in season 3, I think this episode induced levels of trauma that Walder Frey couldn't even fathom. Aside from the heartbreaking death of Shireen and my love for Stannis, Khaleesi finally showed the people of Mareen why she's the mother of dragons! Davos is on his way to the wall and I don't think he's going to be to happy when he gets back to Stan the Man. anyways guys I gotta keep this one short- I have to go and upload episode 10 to patreon...
as always, we love and appreciate you all and we will see you on the next one :)
be sure to follow us on patreon for the full length reactions + more!!

2 eps in 2 days? What did we do to deserve such a blessing?
We need at least one a day
@@wonderweasle2212 Don't be spoiled now 😭 just do what I do, listen to the video in the background while you're working then watch it again later because you weren't really paying attention. Double the content for the price of one video!
Sacrifice to the Lord of Light 🔥
@@wonderweasle2212 the blessing is the wildest 3 episodes in a row in the series
They’re on a roll
Stannis is the physical embodiment of what I think midlife crisis looks like
😂😂😂

❤
What tears me up, besides her screams, was seeing the princess clinging to her lil' stag that Davos carved for her. She was holding onto it bc he loved her.😢
Guys the Dance of the Dragons has nothing to do with Robert's rebellion and the Aegon Shireen was referring to isn't the Mad King (whose name was Aerys II). The Dance of the Dragons took place something like 200 years before the start of Game of Thrones. All its story is being covered by House of the Dragon, GoT prequel series. You have to consider that the Targaryens sat the Iron Throne for 283 years.
Honestly it's funny to see how confidently wrong they are about so many things. =)
Love the reactions, and all the weird things they come up with, only add to that! xD
“That was a pretty fire episode 9”
Shireen: “and I took that personally”
"Yo Khaleesi gotta pull up and beat the shit outta Stannis". Killed me lol.
It doesn't matter if u expected Shereen's death since the red woman insisted on her joining them at the battle, you still have a smidgen of hope that Stannis loves her more than the throne. Heartbreaking every single time 😢
I legit cried so hysterically that I paused the show for a good 5-10 minutes, contemplating even continuing the show. I legit almost quit the show. 😅
@@headoverheels88I never contemplated not watching the rest of the show but I had to pause and cry. As soon as I got myself together and repeatedly told myself it wasn't real I continued on.
It pisses me off because it was very out of character I'm glad he's not going to do it in the books (though she probably still will die)
@@nolifealan9746 Yeah, Stannis is a lot smarter in the books, behaving more like the seasoned general that he is. But GRRM did reveal to Dan & Dave that Shireen will burn, just not for this reason. "Only death pays for life" has constantly been drummed into us.
❤
If you didnt notice, the guy with the rapier that destroyed Jorah in the pits was a Braavosi waterdancer (same as Syrio Forel). They are extremely nimble and skilled. The entire scene was actually very well made and had references to lots of different locations from the books and show. You had the Meereen Champion, Braavosi Waterdancer, Norvoshi warrior (the same type as the guard from Dorne which punched Bronn), a Dothraki and more. All types of great fighters have travelled to pits of Meereen for wealth and glory.
Whoa, I never caught that... Nice! Thanks bro
“What made Drogon pop out like that?” Mom’s in trouble, it’s time ta roll up!! 💀♥️🐉
Davos was more of a parent to Shireen than either her mother and father have ever been!! I loved their relationship
her mother only understood in the last moments that it didnt matter that she was not a son, what matters was that she was her child! Stannis was so influenced from the red priest that he did not see what he was doing, he was ice cold watching his daughter burn... what a fucked up family
The sound of Shireen's screams are the definition of bloodcurdling. To me that scene is more disturbing than the entire Red Wedding
Catelyn’s scream still haunts me
❤
I love your flip-flopping “I hate this show/I love this show.” Exactly. THIS is Game of Thrones, this is storytelling. Bravo! Great reactions and predictions as always.❤
I’ve never heard of oberyn and ellaria being related but she is a bastard (her last name is sand, dornish bastards have that name) so in other kingdoms they would not approve of a prince being in a partnership with a bastard.
'You have a good heart Snow. It'll get US ALL killed' I always smile at that quote
Aaron, “I hate this show!” Fifteen minutes later…”I love this show!!!” 😂😂😂
I am loving watching your reactions guys.
And I really appreciate you sharing this with us. Keep up the great work guys, and thank you for this as it improves my day and helps with my depression so thanks :)
If you think back to season 1, you'll remember that Tyrion's deepest boyhood wish was to see a real, live dragon. The last scene of this episode lets us see his dream come true, through his own eyes.
but didnt he already saw the dragon fly above him when he was captured by Jorah and they went through the stone people town? so that was basically his first time seeing a dragon with his own eyes
@hmp01 This time, he sees Drogon up close. And he sees a dragon with a rider, witch is just like the stories he read.
@@thecompendium9607 yea dude but its not the first time
@hmp01 OMG you were right I never realized I haven't watched the series 3 times through or read all the books twice. I bow down to your superior knowledge how could I have been so stupid? FFS.
WHOA wasn't expecting another one already!
Ellaria is not related to Oberyn. she said that because she's a bastard (her second name is Sand) and Oberyn is a prince, but he married her still
I love when they ramble … most of the time they’re off base but it’s Funny AF to watch
All of these years later and this episode still haunts me. Especially now that I have kids of my own.
Dany officially being a dragon rider was such a huge deal to all the viewers, i understand the feeling wasn’t pure for some as it was mixed with concern but generally speaking it is a very special event
100% The House of Dragons kind of made that not a big deal but it was huge
Shireen: Tears father, really?
Melisandre: They are not for him
great job watching one episode a week, its the best way to watch these dense, complex shows, it really allows for the characters to grow on you, keep it up!
guys, the Targs have 50 Aegons in their family. It's like Tony for italian americans
Great episode yall!!!! I think I heard Aaron say something along the lines of “Aegon really turned into the mad king after that”. The mad king was Dany’s father Aery’s. Aegon is the conqueror of Westeros. Anyway. When Jorah threw the spear at the Harpy member both of you at the same exact time “oooooooooo”. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
The Aegon Shireen was talking about was not Aegon the conqueror. A Dance of Dragons takes place sometime during the 200 something years the Targaryen’s ruled Westeros.
@@mr.noride7226 ok but he said Aegon turning into the mad king. That was all
She’s referring to Aegon II, the sixth Targaryen King, not Aegon the Conqueror
@@mr.noride7226 yes he said no wonder Aegon turned into the mad king. The mad was danys father aerys. Where am I wrong?
@@kristymcdowell6185 You are right about Aegon not being the name of the mad king. You are wrong about which Aegon Shireen was talking about. Aegon the conqueror was not king during A Dance of Dragons, it was Aegon ll.
36:53 notice Jorah fights against every fighting style we’ve seen thus far. From Dothraki to water dancer to Westerosi Knight to the spear fighting of the Unsullied.
Appreciate the 2nd upload, you 2 have become one of my favorite reaction channels, glad you guys had time to give us another one 👍👍
An appropriate episode to quote Cersei "Everywhere in the world they hurt little girls..."😢
Also, I believe they disapproved of Oberyn and Ellaria in Kings Landing because he was a prince (a highborn) and she was a Sand (a bastard, and lowborn), but they were not related.
She’s the bastard child of a Lord, not lowborn per se
@@NiKiMa023 OK noted
Shout out to Tyrion at 43:20, who's clearly thinking, "Yo, and i've only been here like for 2 weeks Essos is wild lmao."
great video as always!
fun fact tho the mad king is the 16th descendant of aegon and he was born almost 250 years later
The thing with Melisandre is she’s genuinely devoted to her religion and believes to be in the right. As an interpreter of signs, she believes in what she sees as her guidance. But kinda like psychics, some are wiser and more gifted than others.
In the same show quotes:
"I F'n Hate this show!"
Then 10 mins later:
"I F'n Love this show"
Yay my boys! Just what I needed on this Monday. Still trying to recover from the 'Rona so streaming your videos helps pass the time. Thanks guys. Cheers from Oregon😊💚
How easy you forget about Ramsay and Ser Twenty Goodmen.
I feel for you guys. This episode is where Stannis became unredeemable to me. F that sucka!
I like how Aaron gets so annoyed when characters dont behave the way he thinks they should, while simultaneously complaining about characters being short sighted and not putting themselves in others shoes 😂
Ellaria Sand and Prince Oberyn were not siblings or first cousins; She is a bastard of a High Lord, however, and it's entirely probable/possible they're distantly related 😁
31mins "I fucking hate this show"
43mins "I fucking love this show" 🤣
Whoa, a double drop this week? Seven blessings to you Sers.
This episode was great you guys! I've been waiting for you to watch this one and get your reactions and, as ever, you do not disappoint...It for real, just gets better and crazier now
"I wonder if the Dance of Dragons has any meaning later on".
Fun fact (and no spoilers don't worry) I believe the current HBO show the House of Dragons (the current GoT universe throne on HBO) is based on George RR Martin's "Dance of Dragons" book took place, like, 200-300 years before this one. The story is so disconnected from this one, there are people who have fallen in love with the House of Dragons who've never ever seen an episode of GoT, which is important information because that means you're now - by UA-cam Reacter law - obligated to do Reacts to House of Dragon now, sorry that's just the rules. 😅
I think it is the book "Fire and Blood". The book "Dance of Dragons" is part of "The Song of Ice and Fire" on which Game of Thrones is based.
I swear I just got chills hearing Drogon. So clutch!!!!!
RELEASE THE FINALE
On Arya spotting Ser "Meryn F*cking Trant", the man who murdered Syrio Forel to earn a place on Arya's nightly prayer/hit list: _"Nah, she don't care about that dude!"_ :D :D :D
p.s. No, Oberyn and his mistress were _not_ related.
Yesss! The riders psychically bond with their dragon. Love you for noticing!
Confirming: Ellaria and Oberyn aren't related, she was referring to the fact that she was lowborn and he was highborn.
What the actual ....I couldn't believe my eyes when the notification popped up..Let's go this is fire😎👍👍💥
Thank you so much Busters...I was feeling depressed.
I have been waiting for you guys to get to this Episodes ever since Mike called out Melisandre and the Mom during the Season 4 Ep. 2 Mike actually paused and was like oh naw... Mike called that from jump...
Fun fact: The Series is based on GRRM books to the end of Season 5 after that is when D&D took over with the adaptation. My personal favorite still is Season 6 .
I doesn't matter how many times I watch this Episode I am haunted by Princess Shireen's screams and when Daenerys rides off on Dragonback I cry every single time..How powerful is that WTH.
Can't wait for the Season Finale that Rollercoaster is coming my friends...Keep safe. Peace ✌ and Love❤
George Martin is on-record saying Shireen's burning is his idea. Maybe he's gonna do fanservice and change his mind after all these years who knows. But if he sticks to it, then it's going to happen just like this. Circumstance slowly stripping away the moral compass from your heroes. Because there are none, only the choices that make you the lesser monster. If someone really thinks George will have the Evil Red Witch sneak up behind Stannis and kill his daughter without his knowledge on some Cinderella shit, then I got a bridge to sell them. Feel like the Bolton reign will conclude roughly in the same way and it ain't gonna be Stannis who takes them out. I'd say the Shireen stuff is perfectly in line with George's nihilism.
Basically what began as a tongue in cheek meme of Stannis Da Mannis turned into a full blown "overlooked righteous hero" grievance cult. They just used Shireen as a scapegoat to satisfy their confirmation bias about the show. But their later-date jilted scorn and grievance harvesting shouldn't negate how massive GoT was the entire decade of the 2010s. Other than Mcu and Harry Potter not too many live universes left a more lasting cultural mark than GoT. They won everything under the sun, at one time they could do no wrong.
Btw Aegon The Conqueror and Aegon The Mad King are different people, and there are many other Aegons and generations between them
Fun fact: The mother of Princess Shireen and King Stannis’s wife is Queen Selyse Florent, a woman from a minor house called House Florent in the Reach. It’s sworn to the Tyrells and are almost as rich as them. The only reason why Selyse wanted to save Shireen was probably because of motherly instincts. But she’s still a bad person just like everyone else because she was with the plan to burn her daughter at first. I always hated that woman and Melisandre.
Shireen & Samwell Tarly are cousins via their mothers Florent roots!
In Bravos Arya sees one of her top listers...time to get your revenge on our sweet lil' assassin in training!
I appreciate the set designs...each territory has it's own unique style...and Dorne looks so lavish, a persian/arabian nights vibe.
Aaron: "I fucking HATE this show"
Also Aaron 10 minutes later: "I fucking LOVE this show" 😂😂😂😂
27:48 Oberyn and Ellaria were not related. She meant that people 'disapproved' of her marriage with Oberyn because she is a bastard (born out of wedlock) and a commoner, whereas Oberyn is a high-born price of Drone.
The shireen scene is absolutley morbid and heartbreaking. I love it it's almost hauntingly dark. The whole sewson is the story of the fall of the main protagonists. Theey don't give you an inch of breathing room. That's what makes it so unique.
When Shireen was describing the Dance of Dragons to Stannis. That story was nearly 150+ years before the events of Game of Thrones. The House of the Dragons series is based on the Dance of Dragons.
The Mad King, Daenerys father wasn't king until recently before Game of Thrones events started, which is recent for this timeline.
Back to backs wasn’t expecting this
The undead are terrifying in this show...but Crasters sons (the undead generals) are scarier, in my opinion, bc it seems like they can think and plan whereas the other lower level ones are also scary bc they are sooooo fast!
What a nice surprise! You've been taking a full week to post the next video so I wasn't expecting your next upload until this weekend.
I just watched this again for the second time. I love y’all so much 😂😂😂😂😂
Nah, Oberyn and Ellaria are not related. She meant that in Westeros people disapprove of a relationship between a highborn and a commoner.
20 good men, man. 20 good men.
Drogon did catch a few of the unsullied that were in the middle of the fray when he was spitting fire at the harpies.
Grrm shouldjust let r/Freefolk finish up Winds. So they can wake up, smell the must, walk past the empty pizza boxes & dew cans to get to the crusty mirror, point & whisper "I'm 27, living in mom's basement, balding...& a king, just like you Stannis". Which will hopefully prevent them from Columbining something.
Okay so The 'Aegon' they are talking about in this episode is Aegon the 2nd, Aegon the conqueror was the first Targaryen King and not the Mad King. You guys will come to know that the Targaryens have a very small list of baby names, they love to repeat and have similar sounding names. There are like 30 Aegons
They probably don’t know that as they haven’t read the books and it’s not easy to keep up with all the names and locations good point though ❤
Someone take away Stannis's #1 Dad coffee mug
I always look forward to your videos but hate how long it takes to see a new one. Thanks so much for putting out another video!!
Yeah was nice of them to post more often this week hope that continues without it being an inconvenience to them
30:50 - "Oh my f*cking god, I hate this show man..."
43:31 - "I. F*CKING. LOVE. THIS. SHOW !"
And that's why we love GoT ! 😂
min 30:50 "i hate this show"...... min 43:32 "i love this show" ...... consistency
The greyscale is on his wrist. She would have to actually touch him where it is present.
Watched S5E8 Monday at work and S5E9 on Tuesday while at work. This has been a great week so far. Keep up the good work guys!!!
A Targaryen riding a dragon has entered the Game of Thrones chat.
This was a welcome surprise.
Ellaria hates the Lannisters because of Oberyn’s death.
Oberyn hated them because of his sister Elia’s death.
You guys pausing your pause to let Mace Tyrell finish singing was so fuccing funny xD
Lord Mace Tyrell is a whole mood lol! He’s portrayed by Roger Ashton-Griffiths he’s not only an actor he’s actually more known for his screenplays and directing.
Ellaria Sand is not related to the Martells. She was simply Overyn's paramore. And she is a bastard named Sand to denote that she is from Dorne.
Elaria is simply a Dornish bastard. But they don't think they are inherent demons or bad people, like Alicer and Caitlyn.
in westeros they don't disapprove of marrying your cousin. tywin lannister's wife was his cousin and he loved her deeply
There's a great pic somewhere of Melisandre and Shireen's actresses smiling and holding a duraflame log
Great reaction once again guys!
To answer your question about Elaria and prince Oberyn. They were jnot related as far as we know... she said their relationship is condemned where he is from ( the rest of westeros) because she is a Sand (bastard of Dorn) and he is a prince. In Dorn, the people don't condem bastard/natural born kids relationships.
And about Dany and Drogon, the targaryan's have a psychic connection with their dragons. It's what allows them to fight as "one" in battle. She most definitely summoned him and he felt she was in danger.
YEAP!...it was Ramsey with his "20 GOOD MEN"
Loved the dragon arriving just in time! I was scared for Daenerys' crew
What a treat this is! Tis a happy monday indeed~
Two in one week? You're spoiling us!
Aaron seems to be conflating a whole bunch of different figures from Targaryen history when Shireen speaks of the Dance of the Dragons. Just to clarify;
Aegon I conquered the seven kingdoms some 300 years before GoT. He was Aegon the Conqueror, the first Targaryen king.
The Mad King was Aerys II, the last Targaryen king, and Daenerys father. He died in the rebellion around 16 years before the beginning of GoT.
The Aegon Shireen is referring to was somewhere in the middle, 170 years before GoT; Aegon II. He was one of the principal players in the Dance of the Dragons, the Targaryen civil war.
Oh yes! Another one, thank you gentlemen
also mike said aegon went mad and became the mad king. Not the same person. Aegon the conqueror was 300 yrs ago about 200 years later was the mad king, dannys dad.
Of all the deaths on this show this one pissed me off the most.
The book Shereen is reading is based on House of The Dragon :)
I like imagining Stannis receiving a #1 Dad mug in the mail a day or two after this episode.
LETS GO YOU BOYS ARE ON A ROLL ALREADY GOT THIS EPISODE UP
The ohs you guys said at the same time when the Sons Of the Harpy showed up to kill Dany, had me giggling 😂.
And to this day I can still hear Shireen's cries. So heartwrenching 😢. Freaking Stannis. That's why he sent Davos away. He knew Davos was gonna step up to him and stop him.
And yes, Ramsey is that cunning and sneaky. But he's a great strategist. I think that because he is a bastard child, he grew up doing whatever he wanted without having responsibilities or having to show face for his actions. His father knew of this and was okay with him doing that crap. If I remember correctly, Roose had sent him in the past to do his dirty work for him. So yes, Ramsey is like a snake. Slithers his way in and strikes hard with his venom.
Aint no way y'all were gonna be cool w/ this episode.
You both subconsciously dressed in black too...
I'm in love with Mannis!! He's such a badass like my heroes like the Joker, Walter White, Saul Goodman and Patrick Bateman, I'm exactly like him. That's why I'm naming my kid after him, knowing he wont commit any atrocities that even I will realize are morally wrong. Now subscribe to my substack to hear a 6 hour podcast on why my balding hero Stannis Da Mannis is gonna mortal combat fatality the Boltons at Winterfell armed with the superweapon combo of mediocre middle aged grievance and male pattern baldness. Then have 50 shades hot steamy sex with Mellisandre on Ned Stark's featherbed while Freefolk will single handedly revive the lotion industry.
Just kidding. Stannis won't able to get it up if his daughter's life depended on it.
Jorah was swinging his arms to loosen up his shoulders. There was 0 show boating.
Of all the awful shit that happened to this point I had to take a day after the princess shereen to figure out if I really wanted to continue this show
Stannis is not being consumed by Melisandre's magic. He is being consumed by he's need for power. And he isn't dividing his forces, he only send Davos alone so he'd have nobody objecting to burning his daughter
M 1000 % buster now! You guys made me felt again how I reacted 4 years ago, Just have courage & enjoy this show cuz there are no show on earth like G. O. T.
You will notice that people who care more about power than anything else will get theirs! Keep ignoring the haters and the people who thought this was some Disney show without consequences. Still one of the GREATEST things to happen for the Fantasy genre!
