- What's going on yall!! It's ya boy Mike hyped to bring you another reaction to GoT!! This episode starts with Jon pulling up to Dragonstone. Melissandra talks w Varys, and Khaleesi demands Jon bend the knee. Theon is rescued after floating at sea and Euron gives Cersei her gifts. Mistress Sands is locked away as Cerseis prisoner while the iron bank makes a deal. Khaleesi gives Jon the dragonglass he needs. Bran says some weird stuff. Sam has officially saved Jorah and Khaleesi attacks Castlery Rock, only to have Euron pull up last second. The biggest thing to hapoen this episode was the apparent death of Lady Olenna to close it off. All in all a good episode with alot of talking. Really excited to hit the home stretch and end off these reactions strong! We love you guys

One part of this episode that is a real great hidden gem, is when Dany and Jon are walking down the steps outside of Dragonstone. Jon says (in reference to Tyrion) “He enjoys taking,” which Dany says, “we all love what we’re good at,” and Jon says, “I don’t.” (Talking about being skilled at killing). You can see Dany give him a little "look." This reminds her back when Ser Barristan was telling her about her brother Rhegar, and how he was such a great warrior, but didn’t enjoy it, and what he really loved was to sing. Like Jon, Rhegar didn’t enjoy killing, but was necessary. I feel like this is the first instance where Jon reminds her of her brother, and she can begin to trust Jon and starts believing he is the good man people claim he is.
I think Jon could also have been referring to being in command as well. He's good at it but doesn't enjoy it.
This is an absolute amazing comment! I knew Jon’s feelings about himself but never thought to reference it back to Dany and her thoughts about her brother Rhaegar 💜💜
As a Targaryen, this means she gets the hots for him when he reminds her of her brother.
I mean...he may THINK he's good at it. Show-Jon at least. At least since the writers decided to make it the Jon and Dany show, to appeal to the 14 year olds who jumped onboard after season 3, but you're talking about the guy who got the snot beaten out of him by Craster, lost against Karl Tanner, before being saved by a backstab from a girl, and needed an old man to allow himself to be killed. Then they suddenly start giving him slow mo hero shots. But even with those, there's nothing to suggest that he's especially good at killing. Or fighting in general. More like just lucky to have an impenetrable suit of plot armour he seemed to find at around the time the show became a soap opera for young teens.

When he says “Mistress SandS” that shit drives me NUTS!!! Her last name isn’t even Sands, it’s Sand, and no one EVER calls her mistress anything anyway lol so annoying!
When Arya says “that's not you”, she doesn't mean that the direwolf is not Nymeria, but that she understands why Nymeria is not going to accompany her north because she's on her own path with her pack now. It's in direct correlation to S1:E4 when Ned is explaining to Arya that she will be a lady married to a Lord and have his sons and she says to him: "No that's not me."
The amount of reactions I’ve seen where people are confused by this is so wild! For whatever reason this just clicked so easily when I watched it lol.
Exactly how I saw it. I don't understand how anyone thought it meant that it wasn't actually nymeria. Same as something else I can't mention yet because of spoliers. But how people make things how they want to see it is odd to me. It wasn't open to interpretation at all. It is how it seemed and Looked. those wolves would have ripped Arya apart if nymeria didn't recognise her for sure. They were about to until she spoke. It's not like wolves understand every word she said right😂😂
Lady Olenna going out like the boss she is! She was amazing in that moment.
The Queen of Thorns had no reason to throw up. Her house was ended, she had no money, they took her castle. She lived a long life, there was nothing more she could do.
She could have joined khaleesi and been apart of her council. Even though that's the only time I didn't agree with olena. When she told her to be a dragon. Bad advise IMO. I can't say anymore because of spoilers. But Sheesh. It was bad advice
@@carolinecoy3164 I personally wouldn't like to see *The Queen of Thorns* reduced to a mere subject, on the same level as Varys or Grey Worm. I think she's too big for that. It's best to die gracefully.

She took that advice by flying on Drogon and defeating Jamie and the Lannister army and that was amazing. The problem came later, when she decided that "being a dragon" meant killing innocent people in their homes.
@@carolinecoy3164 It wasnt a bad advice. If Dannny had follow her advice, she would had Kingslanding already and didnt suffer any losses, to focus on the Night King. Instead she is listen to Tyrion and Varys and losing her strenght. She already lost Dorne and Reach. Lady Olenna would still have some supporters in Kingslanding, because of the popularity of Margaery, and will gladly make sure, Cersei was in the Red Keep, before informing her. Daenerys flying with her Dragons and Burning Red Keep with Cersei inside, was the best choice. sure some innocent people would die. But the damages would be minimum. Lady Olenna advices are the correct ones... She even mention tyrion is a Wise man, but the reason she survived so long, was because she never listen to them... She was Advising Daenerys to be careful with Wise people and follow her instinct. Olenna wanted revenge, but still her advise was the correct one.

Mike: Martin did not write Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan did. I believe WOT was written before GOT. Martin may have gotten the idea from WOT, but he didn't write it.

Martin has been very upfront with stating that he was inspired from WoT and used things from there.

Did you guys notice dany's hair? She has kept to the Dothraki tradition and has added a braid for each battle/fight she has won since her dragons were hatched. She started off with no braids, now look at her head XD
Arya's dire worlf was a wild child like her. She recognized that her dire wolf was not a pet like how she wasn't a lady
Arya told Nedd, “that’s not me.” when he told her she was going to marry a knight and become a Lady of a great House. When Arya sees Nymeria, she could tell she didn’t want to be a pet. So game recognizes game. And Arya hits that call back.
In season 7, 8 they’re past GRRM source content. Great writing is being replaced with callbacks. And well-directed battle sequences, tbf,
Exactly. I don't get how so many people could think she actually meant that it literally was not Nymeria. The only reason those wolves didn't rip Arya apart was because Nymeria recognised her right. The episode titles are great in this series because they usually hit upon a theme that is being expressed through multiple storylines.

Fun fact: Cersei’s mom, Joanna Lannister, was bff with Oberyn’s mom. It was said that before she and Obs’ mom had arranged their children the twins, Oberyn, and Elia to be married. However, when she passed having Tyrion, Obs’ mom brought it to Tywin who refused and offered Tyrion instead. Obs’ mom would take as a slight and dropped it. Tywin wanted Cersei for Rhaegar, who, years later, ended up with Elia. To think Oberyn would’ve been married to Cersei, now that would’ve been a power couple.
Olenna had nothing left to go on for. If she saved herself from poison there would only be worse awaiting her.

"everything is happening all at once"... Littlefinger was just trying to make Sansa think of all the possible scenarios to be prepared. Was not asking about other realities but her reality and possible outcomes. Don't assume some people are your friend and some your enemy. Everybody is a friend or enemy. The idea is to be mentally prepared for any eventuality. I think is an excellent advice for life in general.

I wouldn’t believe Jon either. In Dany’s mind, a random ass man comes to your home talking about fairytales while you’re trying to take down the ‘real’ threat; Cersei. She hasn’t seen Hardhome and it’s not coming from a person she knows and trusts like Jorah.
The way Cersei breaks when saying “why did you do that?” is the same way Catelyn asked “why?” when Jamie said he pushed Bran out of a window. That motherly love is strong (though Catelyn’s is much more pure).
Cersei is so GORGEOUSLY evil. I mean oh my GOD!

I think one of the things I enjoy most about you guys' thoughts on all this is that you're not black and white with characters. Like, yeah, Cersei is an evil ass woman. She's also an amazing character and I love her. Dany is a bad bitch, but being clever was never one of the first qualities I personally would list off the top of my head when describing her. It's not just bad person (hate them) / good person (love them). No one is all bad or all good, not as characters and definitely not as people.

@Nihilanth Sorry, I didn't explain myself well in that initial comment. I think my reply to another user clarifies it a bit. I do think she's clever, especially thinking of her as a person (as opposed to only as a character). I just meant if I was going to write a character profile for her and give her 3 main traits (just to give an example) I wouldn't prioritize writing clever there. But again, this is just the way I see her. I can see from your comment that we see her very differently and you probably would put clever in one of those 3 traits or adjectives or however you want to call them. She has done a lot of clever things, that is undeniable. I don't agree that everything you listed was clever, actually, but that's not the point.

George R.R. Martin did not write Wheel of Time. Robert Jordan wrote Wheel of Time. Somebody steered you wrong. Also, that isn't quite how that series goes. But it's close.

Olenna had nothing left to live for. She was the elderly matriarch of an otherwise extinct house whose lands had just been seized by the enemy. Why try to live, after that? She got a painless death, respect from her enemy, and the last word. She went out like a G.

Robert Jordan wrote the Wheel of Time. Doesn't mean your theory is write or wrong but wanted you to have accurate information. Wheel of Time is an amazing book series and has become a show you might consider reacting to. First season is out with 2nd coming this year

The first 3 eyed raven we see most likely was there for a minimum of decades learning & mastering his power. People think Bran, a boy, should just be full power and to contain all this knowledge without acting "weird"?

Aaron had a good analogy with Euron, that he's sort of like a Wrestling guy from WWE. But that's who Euron is, he's always over the top. Aaron, still way off on the predictions though :).
Mike, do yourself justice & stay away from anything someone is quoting George R.R Martin about in other books. This isn't Marvel or DC comics with Earth 1, Earth 2 & so on. George's books ended at the end of season 5, his input only came back for the last few episodes, the same episodes some people had issues with the ending. Bran & Melisandre see bits & pieces, not necessarily everything, as if they are Encyclopedias. Mike, you said something in this episode, that will make you eat your words in 2 episodes. You think you can pick up on those words again?

One titbit about the reason behind Cerci's choice of revenge in the Sand Snakes: it refers back to when she broke down and told Jamie about how when she was little she use to imagine her mothers face rotting after she died. It terrified her, and when Marcela died, it brought that fear back, and she'd have nightmares of her face rotting in the Sept. That's also why she used the Sept to burn all her enemies. If you remember, when Tommen died, she told them to burn him and put his ashes where the Sept once stood. She didn't want to think about him rotting away. That wild fire had to have burned through the cript and incinerated all those buried there, including Marcela and Jofrey. When they were no longer rotting, decaying corps, she finally started getting some peace from that fear. Now, there's nothing left for her but revenge. So it's poetic for her to use her own fears to serve as her revenge.
You two would have LOVED book Euron.

Bran is the Last of the Greenseeers, if you look when he meets the Brynden Rivers in the tree, he is crawling on bones. they are the Greenseers that have tried and died before. the Only way to defeat the Night King are the specific action each person takes, any deviation and the Greenseer dies. Every other sequence of events have already happened before, and this is the last try.
Another thing is that if you watch these events enough the reader or watcher is actually the 3eyed Raven.
Those conversations between scenes are one of the most entertaining nonsenses I've ever heard! Tarantino should take some notes here!

Regarding the quality of production you mentioned, this was at the point each episode had a budget of $2 million dollars. Yes, you read that right: *each episode*. This didn't include the price for the actors, like Cersei's actress (Lena Heady) getting a cool $250k per episode she was in. Again, you heard me right. EACH. EPISODE.
Season 7 was 10 million per episode not 2 million.
