I completely agree with you in regards to spiral and ring bound planners. There needs to be a moleskine planner community. I've been using them for years. Great video

ARYCKA Yay, thank you so much! We definitely need to start a Moleskine planner community :o)

The A-Z section at the back is for telephone numbers and addresses etc, like you would see in any other diary. The advantage of it being in the pocket is that you can easily transfer it to next year's diary, rather than copying out all the information.

Some professional people might have need of the pages you don't have need for. It's called the company being versatile to everyone's possible needs and wants. I don't personally have need for those pages but I am glad they are there for those that might. It's called being open minded for others needs.

Actually, the travel info is very helpful, even if you take only one international trip, or even take a trip outside your own time zone. I do agree with you on the planning page - I've just used those pages to plan what I'm going to pack. I also completely ignore the times on the daily pages. I draw dashes over them for topics and and sub topics. It is really useful - just tweak it to fit your needs!

Thanks for the comment! It's so interesting to hear how different people adapt this planner to fit their needs :)

The time zones are useful when you hang out on the internet with people from around the world and you want to know if they're likely to be on yet/still.
And I am soon going to start trying to decorate my planner which is also day per page A5, so perhaps we should share.

+Otte Deneb Aah, that's a good use for the time zones! I hope you're going to make some videos about how you decorate your A5!

Or if you work in a multi-national company with staff around the world. I always have to be aware of time differences when organizing meetings or give people phone codes.

The block monthly view isn't technically new. Moleskine had them in their daily planner until 2012. It just took them 4 years to listen to the complaints from people who missed them. Of course, now the people who liked the column list view will start complaining and it will switch again :P
I would totally sacrifice the weird travel and international pages to have month on two pages AND column view for next year.

+Simply Particular Ah, that's interesting; thanks for letting me know! I totally agree, the best would be the block monthly view and column view. Maybe there's hope for the future...?

+Simply Particular It is funny you have written this as I have used a daily planner (I guess since 2012) and I was so annoyed this year with the block pages. I love love the column lists. I had a great overview of 4 months at a time and could easily write on each day and had 2016 and 2017 like this. When I opened it a few days ago and thought it must be a special version. Thus, looking for a review to see if I had a different version I found this review. I am one of the SAD ones with the new layout. The two year 4 month overview column lists were wonderful for my style! Sorry, but I hope they bring them back, but I agree they shouldn't keep changing. :)

Yes, I also really love the column lists; they're so useful for seeing both years at a glance. Like you, I was surprised and disappointed to see that they're gone this year. I hope they bring them back too :)

I forgot that I also use the time zone pages when I have to call someone out of my time zone so I don't call them too late or too early! I have a mental block for time zones so those pages help me a lot - especially when calling my sister-in-law in England and our friends in Copenhagen!

I travel internationally 3 out of 4 weeks a month and work with multiple countries every day. It is helpful to know what time it is when planning meetings.

oh nice colour! I'm not sure if i want to get a large or pocket daily next year. I love the writing space in large but sometimes there is not much to say/plan so i fill it with stickers and such. Pocket on the other hand might be just too small.. used pocket in 2014 and now using the minnie mouse large :) ahh choices..

    • @VeganOrganizer
      @VeganOrganizer  9 років тому

Kintagi Aah, I can relate to the dilemma! I always go for large because the pocket size is just that much too small - I don't seem to be able to cope with A6! Would love to see a setup video of your Minnie Mouse large :o)

Exactly! I post some examples here: flic.kr/s/aHskgMv6Le I'm not good at making videos :) I do always color code (purple= games, brown/orange = horses, green= things i watch, pink = spend) i started plain in the beginning but went more crazy lately. Also currently have this thing going on about "the old days" and how i loved (some) anime, so i'm currently adding that like crazy.

Thanks for a great review! I prefer a bound book to and currently use a Hobonichi A6. I blogged about it here: fennell-books.squarespace.com/journal/2015/3/8/hobonichi-joy
