So far I only have the Red Isle unlocked and it is a slow process collecting all my pieces of 8 this video has been very helpful
Im happy you found some value! I know I wasted so much time picking up lv1-3s just because they were full and then tried to level everything Evenly and it just took soooo long
I did it exactly like that. Grinded a lot and leveled up all cities on Red Island up to level 6. That’s work, no real fun.

This video has a lot of good advice but I personall do recommend unlocking Coast of Africa first, get Harufu maxed out first, then get most of the coastal locations unlocked and rank them up to 6 or higher. My run now goes up along the outside edge of the Coast of Africa and bottom ourter half of Red Isles and I get over 41K PoE per run. I just hop on Once a day to do that. Got 180k plus stored away that I have nothing left to do with and counting. Will easily be at over 1 mil PoE by season 2 and that's with only being on once a day or every other day.

I respectfully disagree, I've only done red isle, and have them all upgraded. I broke it up into 2 quick and easy runs, and I have more po8 than I can spend lol. I also have enjoyed this and not gotten burnt out, but everyone is different.
Hey that's great to hear. This method is just supposed to be least grind possible. Only 20-30hours to claim everything once they open the helm. I'm happy you are enjoying the game!
Thought about this 🤔 I saved 5k, but I wasn't sure what to spend it all one. I just want the top end guns, furniture, and ship.
I have about 3k or so po8 per hour and I’m about to fund this one factory for 15/20 minute session and supply it with juniper berries and krank the production to 500-600% efficiency and just wait there at the factory and get insane amounts, I’m trying to get more bases in East Indies but don’t have good trade routes for bonus production might not bother with East indies, idk gotta chill on helldivers 2 haha
The samen here only red isle and all factories at level 10, only 2 trips every 2 days and the rest I can do other things

Thanks for the comment and support. The helm mark just goes away with time I believe. there are upgrades in the second helm book to reduce the duration, but the rest of the upgrades are not super useful.
So do I upgrade my manufactories for the Coast of Africa short route or just leave them as base level and level up Harufu only?
Just harufu to lv 9 then Jiwe. That's how I would do it if I were to redo from the start.

How have things change after the 3/18 patch? I see people ranting about a nerf to silver and pieces of eight production from manufacturies.

I bet po8 will reset, but not sovereign, being able to max the upgrade next season doesn’t seem like a fair start
@@concerneduser3716 there's no fair start in this game . Players living in the game will always have an advantage . Taking away something that I worked hard for doesn't sound fair to me . What about silver , supplies , literally everything you grind more than others gives you an advantage making it "unfair" . Resetting the Helm's office upgrades is actually the most unfair thing to do to players that don't have a lot of playtime because they'll never get it maxed out . Like I said before , there's no fair in this game .

@@airborne1868 Very true. It is very hard to make everyone happy. Great points. I'm not sure which way is more fair, and honestly I'm not sure which I would prefer and I have over 150hrs in. Some part of me wants to feel the restart other side does not want to have to grind it all out again.
Just play it smart.. Invest... only get must have blueprints at the start and focus on leveling to lvl 7 - 10
Eventually you reach a point where even if you only have a couple leveled up you'll make more po8 than you need... and if you keep putting that back you end up making even more... I didn't start buying things from the black market ( not counting sambuk and a Leopold 3 ) until I was making well over 20k for a 30 min run... that's now up to 45k
I just have a line from harufu straight down the coast and then through the river straight to base
Tottaly agree with you there. I also have that same route 😆 Stop upgrading after Harufu and Jiwe were level 10 and everything else is level 9.
I did almost exactly what you suggested and can agree, it's more than enough without being too demanding of my time. Highly recommended.

Ya that is the best way to do it...I had to take a full week off because I would try doing full map covers once a day and lost 2 of them to helm wagers. Better to just play more safe and consistent.
I just found this video yesterday, today patch S11.3 came out and they destroyed the output of the factories... It will take a lot longer now to have some decent PoE income

Silver is the problem.. Ubisoft needs to add a world market..so players can sell unwanted stuff to newbies..plus.. make it were you can sail a minimum of 3 ships ( fleet)

I wonder why no youtuber ever mention that you can and should do the same to Order (roving) missions as you do with Supply (roving) missions
Sail out without the rum/gin or whatever (you don't need it), blow the client to kingdom come and get double up on Po8
I said that about the order roving missions in my last video actually, But it doesn't double the PO8 anymore. Still best way to do the roving missions for sure
@@Polemos_Action yeah fair enough - had forgot that I am fully upgraded now at the helm, so when I saw I'm getting 500+ Po8 for 2 quests I assumed it was double - lol
But atleast when you shot them, you don't have to give up your wares and can use those to sell to skurlock or rahma for silver.
I still believe that is all too much effort for something that has so little return on investment. You only need so many Po8. (Reach diamond and buy all items.)
I have everything in Red Isle unlocked and level 8/9. (Have not unlocked or spent any time taking over any other areas.)
I'm making 1,053 Po8 per hour on the cheapest fund product. Funding lasts 15 hours for all level 8 factories. (15,795 Po8 every 15 hours)
This allows me to ensure funding it not missed and reduces how often I have to play doordash driver.
I'm still putting everything back in by upgrading the warehouses, so will make even more when complete. (I plan to get everything in Red Isle to lvl 10 thereby freeing up my time to play the game even more.)
I could stop upgrading and just put everything into buying all the items and have everything purchased very quickly.
I'm at 178,319 on the progress meter "leaderboard". (Will reach diamond in 5 more days barring any funding delays.) And all with very little effort.
I'm able to focus on playing the game with friends and doing group events.
I'm happy you found a path to grow. However if you have all 19 cities to level 8/9 that means you spent at least 136,000 to 200,000 pieces of 8 just on cities. still have to spend 70,000 on helm blueprints and furniture. My method is more time and PO8 efficient.

Note the chart and math everyone is referencing does not take into account that by leveling up a factory, you are not only buying increased output per hour, but also reducing the frequency of logins and the amount of time needed to both fund and pickup Po8. It's a pretty simple summary, if you like the end game Po8 content then do it the way you describe. If, however, you do not like the "login to play door dash delivery" then do it differently. I work 16+ hour days and my game time is precious. I don't have the time to play tamagotchi.
I hope they find some way to adjust the leaderboard system so other people actually have a chance.
Like, for example, I love min maxing like any other guy in an ARPG, but there is no way I'm going to be able to compete, no matter how optimized I am, with someone that puts in half that optimization but gets to play every waking moment.
Personally, I'd like to see it just tied to overall 8s gathered. Keep the tiers the same, but cap it out and make it overall amount over the week/season. This way anyone wanting to reach the upper tier of rewards still need to put in effort, but aren't 'threatened' by work or social life, lol...
Off topic question: I stopped getting any request to risk my 8s for double profit. I refused the first few times because I only gathered a handful and nothing worth the attempt, but now it never comes up. Any ideas why?
Ya I think it only activates on full factories.
To the rest of your comment I think a rework for the leaderboard needs to happen. There can be rewards for the top grinders, but there is little skill there. Just tine and strategy. I want pvp or very difficult pve to dictate a leaderboard so we really know who is the real pirate king out there 😉
@@Polemos_Action Maybe I'm just unlucky, but I swept up every factory in Red Isle while full and never got a Helm Wager request. Seems weird because the FIRST time I ran around gathering them it was asking every second or third factory, but everything was bare bones lowest grade, so I just rejected it.

@@Polemos_Action I actually just got one on my lunch break running a quick sweep of my factories! I think they tied it to total in your hold on last patch or something because this is the first time I've ever had 2k 8s on me and it popped up. I took it not realizing what I was getting into, but I kitted out my Brigantine for acceleration and speed beforehand cause I was naturally on a lunch break, lol. Good thing too as I had three players on me near the end. But I got it in and scored 5000 8s!
I don't think I'll be doing it again though, because all three fast traveled nearby after accepting it with two of them fast traveling to the outpost I was heading to; one of them was actually IN the outpost when they accepted it and I was in the zone waiting on the cap when they just started blasting from the outpost dock.
I'm honestly not sure how they'd balance that out, but letting people fast travel to the outpost you're delivering to just sucks, lol. Maybe you teleport say 3000km nearby the carrier after joining it; ready or not? That way you can't sit there, take your time and stage stuff, and then fast travel next to them or something?
Don't sleep on southern Africa coast... honestly i start far south west, and collect everything up the coast to jiwe area then head down to red isles...i only have red isles to level 7 and feel that's the perfect sweet spot in terms of 8ph but might go to 8 as my main lvl 10s in Africa (i stopped supplying so much) take a very long time to fill up now...im still working on indies now so can't speak on that...but im taking 30k+ from Africa/red isles and can easily double that up as i usually play with my bro so we help eachother with that kinda thing lol

The lazy way is to just ask other if they have extra ship armor and weapons that they can just give away because the player doesn't want to put in the time to get it.
True that is nice also but for people who want all the blueprints this is a solid way to do it
I've been upgrading Tanjona to level 10 but I only get 99 pieces of eight per hour???
Really only 99 perhour...I figured it would be less than the 250s because you don't have any helm upgrades but that will slow down the progress...I figured it would be 125 or more. Because it won't fill all the way up in 24 hours now. That messes up the whole schedule.
Africa and red islands give me around 160k or more 1h maxrun

@@dizzydoshe8409 Nice I'm sure that is more than enough. I did just read the 1.3 patch notes and the trade routes are getting a huge nerf(fix) I think Harufu is going to get hit hard.... Forts may have better base stats and become more valuable.

I solo Harimau (LVL 10), Prakoso (LVL 10), Granbie (LVL 11), and Duister (LVL 10) every day for the Supply missions. Of course, Du Lys (LVL 10) as well.
I take out my LVL 11 Barque with Mons Meg III on the Bow and Stern, Basilisk III on Port and Starboard, with a Leo III on Aux. Furniture; Scrapping station to get that 8000 health with crew attacks, and then bombard boosting furniture.
Duister, and Harimau get dicey because a Privateer spawns in the area, so pay attention. Granbie is actually pretty easy, as long as no passing merchant caravan is there to ruin the fun. They love to come help. Fort Du Lys is insanely easy. Prakoso takes some strategy. The DMC in the area go nuts, and there's a lot of them. Kill the ships, then hit the big towers that shoot mortars, and then get lucky hitting the walls that have cannons.
A big part of this game is really not being afraid to die, I keep my cargo very empty just in case I can't get back to it, which hasn't happened yet. If you sink, make a run to get your stuff, and get outta Dodge as fast as you can.

What they need are more multiplayer events. Maybe matchmaking 1v1 3v3 and 5v5. Then grinding all this would have a purpose. Or maybe huge fleet battles 5 players vs 10 ships or something. I can only imagine it will continue to grow. With all the money they put in dev I hope they do...
I don't understand why it is, when people think more content, they think pvp. Like, content can be so mutch more and as it stands and always has for any game with 'builds' pvp will always be a 'meta-game' and never be balanced or varied. So for variety, pve makes more sense as a focus.
@@Leleyna I actually meant pve with the 5 ships vs a 10 ship ai fleet.
I think both are important as they appeal to different player audiences.

Yeah, you don't need to buy all that stuff.
Potentially a little excessive, especially when a lot of these weapons and furniture can be collected other ways, but I could imagine a mode(I would like a mode) where there is pvp but only up to ship level. A matchmaking that changes each day and you have to fight with ships at that level.
I want it to be easy to craft any furniture and weapons to make the perfect ship that just caps the limit. Need all the blueprints for that

Everything you said is fair, but this guide is too help those who are bored of the end game but still want all the blueprints. This video is just an assistant to get there the easiest and fastest. Everyone should find the path that makes the game fun.

Ya I have an updated one for Patch 1.3 but just trying to make a clear introduction. I try to add timestamps so you can jump along.
Don't kill the helm ship. You get marked and then have rogue ships spawning on you. Thus unintentionally greefing low lvl players in your area. Or bringing unnessacary adds into world events,and so on. Don't be that guy.
Just pull up and complete the mission and avoid getting marked.

I don't have any issues with world events. But I am aware of what getting a mark does and how it effects people in passing. (Especially low levels)
