In cases like Fort Louis you do not have to carry the supplies with you from Sainte Anne ---> Fort Louis. Sometimes the route is "busy" with all kind of ships, if you want no risk...Travel empty. You will be able to deliver the helm contract as on the island there is a Cache with all the materials.
And yeah, i do not recommend spending eights on anything until you got a hang of how it is working.

Surprised more people don't know this. I don't carry anything on me besides the provision I need and the commodities I wanna sell. Everything else, i leave it in the warehouse. When you dock and talk to any merchant your warehouse and cargo is linked so you don't have to take any materials out from warehouse to craft or sell.
I hit kingpin rank yesterday and I found out the rank can go past 10k prestige for kingpin which is nuts. Also I don’t recommend anyone spend pieces of eight for fire bombard 3 as I got two of them for being either kingpin 4-8. It might be random but I would definitely get your kingpin higher for a chance at better weapons before spending.

For the Sovereigns, you get those by reaching certain thresholds of pieces of eight, you can see those thresholds in the leaderboard taps, both the weekly one and the seasonal one

I recommend upgrading your bulk offers until you can make gold skull rum. I read we’re gonna be able to use it as currency to upgrade our weapons when visiting scurlock. You can also buy his blueprint and cannon with 1000 gold rum as well. helm wager is also very nice. I just wish there was a way to get your pieces of eight without having to sail everywhere.
Helm wager sucks, imo. Rival players just fast travel around the map and with the Rouges chasing you it's been hard even as a lvl 11 ship. You shouldn't be allowed to fast travel if the player carrying the Po8 cant.
Agreed its a very flawed system , and most of the time there's three of them waiting for you , so ruin there day and never do it😊

Thanks for the information. you've clarified what the poppies were for.
Also, another trick I’ve been doing for supply’s is make a your own delivery, then when you’re out the ships that attack you usually carry 10-20 poppy and sugar cane. So I’ll just spend an hour sailing and fighting. It’s also great because the ships also usually carry one silver chest, so by the time you get tired of doing it you’ll have a bunch. Plus xp twords kingpin levels for destroying them, and if you plan on doing this, usually you can accept contracts that ask for multiple sales in the same place, the more sales you have active the more ships show up, the more ships that show up the more loot you get.
This is definitely one way the fill the ocean will blood! I love it bro
Give it a shot! Put on some music get with a friend and just sail around blowing stuff up for a profit while you wait for your manufacturing. Also love the channel glad I found it🤌🏼🔥
Do the attack missions and get extra rewards for doing just that.

Also you have legendary PvE takeovers to, where you need to work together to kill a ship and get a helm chest to take back to base that give bases too
Actually if you just join the event you don't even have to go. You'll still get the reward once/If its turned in

Important info:
DO NOT sleep on the legendary pvp treasure maps. I have gotten the best armor and the best long cannon you only can buy from scurlock. It is rng but my bet is that you can actually get all of the best weapons and armor from it if you are lucky.
U get sovereigns from the ranking system. Each time u get to a certain requirement u get them (weekly and seasonal). U can check them at the desk.
I got a pretty good system running and currently ranked 5000 but when I'll have more time gonna be top 1000 easy.
One tip: dont get going for "ooooh shiny". Economics and general business has tought me that expansion is key. Go for coast of africa/indies first then u will get so many pieces of eight u will drown in them.
One thing, u burn silver like heck. Advice (my adaptation): do the bounties on the same run as ur run for pieces of eight.
I dont know why u got chased by 8 helm ships unless u let them stack but with good weapons they get 2 or 3shot. My advice is to get zamzams on one side and run the dmg mortar when u are doing the "base" runs.
If ur up for it we could hang out over discord and exchange some thoughts, I like theorycrafting.
Also if you do forts u might want other big furniture. The heal after crew dmg. Then if u fire muskets (or throw bombs with padewa) or board u get 8K healing, this will help a lot.
My pvppve build will be this, this is my overall build cuz im lazy as fuck: Front=scurlock long nines (wrecking sails is undervalued, best pvp tool to get burst broadsides in), one side dardanelles guns, other zamzams, back: mons megs (bombards), aux: leopold mortar (maybe heal mortar with a friend but I like the flooding effect). Funiture: big one=heal after crew attack, its just best, extra structure dmg, extra elemental on bombards, extra dmg on targets with blaze effect (u will put them aflame with the zamzams ez), last one is preferential could be extra ship hp, extra crew dmg (for boss events), others like radius of bombard or extra dmg for the side ur bombards are on.

Huge tip: when your in those small cutscenes on your ship like after a plunder, you can hit the brace key and it should take you straight to your ship, not sure if that is a glitch or not but those small cutscenes are annoying ass fuck, like going to your ship from town and those stupid little cutscenes of your boat, this can save you a couple of seconds. but when your doing it over and over and over, it gets annoying fast
holding the key is the skip cut scene action. But yes very fking annoying, what do the devs smoke surly they got sick of their own cut scenes, but it is a load screen ?, or is it.
I just got to the endgame with a padawakang (2 firebomb 2 zanzama 1 mortar) build....imma need these guides man keep em coming
Killing the other players in hostile takeover helps too, they give so many percentage, and I had someone try what you showed, have their friend help them and I still killed him twice and won XD
What he wanted to do but his friend couldnt due to loadout is a cheap but flawless way to win. Have a friend not join the event with a full healing loadout. They can keep you indefinitely healed and since they arent in the event, the other guy cant attack them.
Hey do you get the supply runs going after you take over areas , and fund them 😮
A major thing you left out in this guide. You can also get a foundry for producing pieces of eight from the PVE Heist event. When you deliver the cargo after defeating the fleet, it grants you a place as if you won it in a takeover. For those who want to mix it up or don't want to pvp. It's more random, but it works.
I left that out as being intentional as I plan to cover all the things you can get from the roaming heist and various other high-tier missions.
Is it just me or the resupply (roving) just does not work, I get there and for some reason there are 20 helm ships just sailing around dying to the French or sometimes they are just not there.

kill the colonial shipment event to get the second best armor under black prince
The other curency you can get is called 'sovereigns' and you get them based on your performance on the weekly and seasonal leaderboards, seen in your office.

It happens to me also. I had a few haelm mission for sugar cane and poppy seeds at the same location. There were like 10 ships at the mission marker and instead of the 97 sugar cane and 30 poppy flowers, I got over 500 of each.

Random tip from someone who's played 100+ hours. Once you get into the black market resources (ie rum/opium) you will start to have too many. start selling them at that point. it is the easiest way to make profit in the game, Once they are refined they sell for a crap ton.

sovereign are given by moving up on the leader borders for seasonal and weekly for getting your pieces of eight
How can you fast travel closer to the drop off site before accepting the delivery? Cuz I tried getting closer before I do the delivery but it won’t let me I have accept delivory first then sail and unfortunately then cross map to do it.
You fast travel to one of the two main bases and then sail from there for the delivery missions.
What do we do with the opium and the wine we make?
Honestly I prefer the Hp regen on crew attacks, I can usually get a crew attack atleast once every 3 volleys on my side guns, plus boarding counts as a crew attack.
Try the ballista type up front. Great range and crit spot dmg is amazing. Almost no reload time.
How did youre friend join you in that take over event, as my friends dont see the same take over event as i do, so they can not join me and pvp with me ?
On that one He and I both had it as a takeover so it just worked out
You get soverns by completing territories and collecting enough pieces of eight and bring it to the den to rank up your rank which starts at bronze im at silver 2 right now
Should go for the Royal custodian i have 3 of them which makes my ship lvl 11. You get them from the higher blue co op events.

Furniture affects ALL of the ship, not just the sides :) It's like a buff
Some furniture gives only a bonus for the Port, Starboard, or front.
When u do order mission just carry 1 of those 4 mission just to know where its located and from there once u reach the destination the cache will still count to redeem from the smugglers.
I had a conflict in belief due to my inability to make a delivery until I actually had those items in my cargo.
I will test this again and validate it, because now it seems like it could have been a bug
I was so tired when I was replying lol but take all those 4 missions and have atleast 1 of the 4 items in ur cargo once u make it to ur destination go to the smuggler and submit all of them..whatever u have in ur cargo it will take especially whatever in the cache(storage box)
You get sovereigns from collecting pieces of 8 for the leader board/season. You can see this on the table map inside your office

Stuck im kingpin level 6 and cant do helm as bug from beta affect so locked out blakmaket and can only do side quest as can't get past st ann due to helm

The sovereign come from the leader board. Go to table in the helm tab to leader board and you get them weekly for hitting milestone in getting pieces of eight and then again for hitting milestone in the season

The game really really really wants you to know at every possible moment that your death mark has expired. I wish they would disable it until it gets fixed.

at start you say fast ship better ship and more then one time in this video, but you dont have and use the furnature for speed up your ship more then the basic speed of max. 18 ?! i am confuse... but thanks, nice video.
The clip I show you is me in a slow ship. That's what will happen when you're moving slow.
I think fast ship is the best ship it will do 18 knots with water bottles it'll do 20.
The furniture only allows you to accelerate and decelerate but not increase the top speed from any piece I have found.
the ballista you need eight for is also a really good weapon

Great way to get silver is to farm the fara bounty from saint anne. 5k each kill and repeatable.

I don't think you actually lose one of your manufacturers in a takeover.
I believe once you have it it's yours for good.

When a season ends they might all reset but I believe that's a total board wipe.
I personally am liking the snow as the top dog ship . To counter the speed pop a nice recipe food and stack it w plenty of cooked fish fruit etc . Can use the water barrels as a cherry on top. You go anywhere from 14-17kn as long as you are not sailing into the wind . You get a beefy ship a lot of cargo space and a solid ship speed just kinda expensive on the food upkeep if you will.

The healing in the event with out being able to take damage is not fair and needs to be fixed so the other player can shoot you and take you out as well its not fair in the event takers
Yeah I got the feeling the smuggling part of the game is more so end game so figured, Id get some more ranks and I guess atp start once I get to kingpin an finish the main missions. The take over stuff!! that’s cool didn’t know about any of that! I feel a bombard nerf coming lol, I think everyone’s using them for ezzzzzz gains 😂😂

you shoudnt outrut them on the deliverys, they got spicey loot, got hundreds of materials and silverchests ( got like 300 in town) 400k silver on hand so never outrun that

This is well and good for those who want that PvP Experience. For those who don't want PvP this game pretty much dies at this point. We'll see where it goes in the future but so far I'm not interested in this endgame expereince.
You can do the whole end game with PVE. It's a totally different way to play. I plan to do a video on that soon

Just going for NPC at the pvp takeover is completely nonsence. Just tried that with the upgrades for more points, the enemy player sunk me two times and was way faster. Go for players or else you loose

Your full Fire Bombard loadout suggestion was also kinda nubish. There are better configurations/loadouts.
I was looking forward to this part of the game... But then i saw the "Seasonal Reset" timer.
They had to find a way to keep you grinding.
I am so sick of grinding and grinding only to have it all taken away and having to restart all over again!

how to get bored faster. After hitting Kingpin the gameplay loop is pretty boring. I ended up tired out so fast I went to bed after only 3 hours playing. Good way to end the day good night.

Kingpin is when you start doing the high level missions the boss battles when you go up against level 13 and 14 ships & PVP

They have had multiple closed betas and an open beta to sort the balance of the weapons.
They are gonna be nerfed for sure for both sides. Too easy to lvl up the ship and just wreck everyone pve and pvp.

Feel like the pvp in this is 100% rat plays with healing, it's like someone at ubisoft did not think about the gameplay in pvp.

The healing mechanic has a significant cool down based on how much health you add.
It feels pretty balanced to me in that aspect
That clip did NOT show you ignoring the other player and winning by sinking ai ships. That clip showed your friend joining a pvp event but losing on purpose to secure your victory…
If I implied that clip would show me just farming ships I apologize. I definitely didn't mean to.

I play on PC with 1440p and have the graphics setup to my preference.
A robust PC will almost look better than any console

This game has leaderboards and can be very PVP centric in a lot of aspects.

This game is a joke, you can’t battle ( the hole purpose of the game ) you have to out run them. Then what it’s a race game. Pass waiting for it to be $20.00
You absolutely can battle you just need to choose your battles and not do 8v1.
That singular clip should not turn you off to the whole game that's one specific scenario that can happen.
If you would watched any other actual gameplay footage or the stream you'd see that there's a ton of ship battling and boss battles and it's a lot of fun

This game is terrible. There is a headwind every direction you go and even if you have the best armor in the game, NPC's will one shot you. I lost 3200 8's while doing a wager because of these stupid mechanics. I can lose the 8's, but I cannot deal with the ridiculous overtuning.
The headwind is the same for everyone in that area and it changes often. (this is why the fastest ship is important for running 8s)
they removed the PvP Flagging Option from the Game. so its Trash now. U could PvP flag yourself or rather swap to PvP server and u got more xp and more gold that way. u wanted PvE chill? U could turn it off or change to PvE server again. but they deleted this and gave us 2 Garbage PvP Events. what a fail after this time. dont buy this scam of a game.
Where I do wish the PVP was flag only and with some events to auto flag you. I wouldn't say that makes this game trash. The bones of this game are fun, it like many other games falls flat and the end.
There are ways to do PVE only and still rank up at kingpin level and get all of your manufacturies.
Don't jump to such steep conclusions.
This game has got a lot of wonderful content for everyone no matter what style they want to play. (If you like they gameplay)
