I don’t mind the changes. Let’s be honest, it was brain dead before. Silver was not an issue and most were too focused on Po8 production. Now you’ll have to manage your silver and do other things. Yes the top guys will not be touched but don’t worry, it resets next season. Think of s1 as a test. Have a good day kaptaini’s

Ya I actually agree with you. There were so many unknowns to how this game would be balanced out. even if they didn't have any bugs it still probably needs some optimization for season 2 but for overall season it is better balanced now
that's not the point, basically they took everyone that put the time in to make an empire gets screwed for doing so. Suer if you are not them people you don't but I have all upgrades and almost all factories to ten and now it takes more than 3 days to fill. This is why alot of people I know want to quit.
@@mattwhitaker8357 Ya...I'm right there with you. I just started my first play through of Dragons Dogma 2. They need to make some major changes or this game will struggle. I think there needs to be other ways to get Po8 then the manufactories
@@mattwhitaker8357 want to quit? We complained about the Po8 being grindy..now it’s not. Those folks who grind for Po8..what can you use it for? We’ve bought everything in the store twice. Silver is back to being important and the gameplay is moved from solely focused on just gaining Po8. Enjoy the sea, maybe it will be used as an ungraded currency later who knows. But for now, the focus is enjoying other content not mindlessly worrying about “did I do my run today “

@Polemos_Action I just got the game a week and a half ago and reached the point where I started upgrading the helm book(first page) would you recommend to upgrade the last page as well or not at all? As I read it it boosts my po8 outcome per manufactory, isn't it?
It can be good but I think it's not worth untill way later since it cost 5K PO8 to upgrade
I gave up… grinding all that silver each day to make po8 is killing me. With a job and family I’m not seeing my self grinding all that. I’m putting the game on standby and hoping it’ll get better next season.

I'm really hoping Fleet Management solves a lot of these problems. They definitely need to reduce the silver cost to make it more in line what it used to be as far as silver cost:production. Manufactories took a huge hit but the silver cost is the same. Helm supplies also took a hit so you're now spending twice as much for the same reward. I've cut down to about 6 in Red Isles and Africa as I never cared for the Indies much. But my PoE production has definitely dropped from about 180k/day (2x 90k runs daily) to about 30k a day. I trust they will either fix the silver cost so we can fund more manufactories, or increase the production a little (5% > 15% is a good compromise).
Farming Forts for helm materials is where the silver is at. Think 3h got me about 1 million silver. I'm at 4.5m currently o.o
I just reached endgame. I'm close to having all of the manufacturies in the Red Isles but I haven't spent any gold upgrading anything. Not sure what I should be doing with the end of season 1 just four days away. I'm 45/90 in the Smuggler's Pass. Not sure if I'll be able to complete it in time. Thoughts?
that's awesome. thanks dude. i was able to level up to 3 during obt. i hit kp maybe a month or less after official release. I'm in the middle of helm stuff now. i already have royal custodian, dardenelle, rahmas legacy, scurlock's long 9s and carronades on my brig that I swap out with the snow for po8/supply runs. i also already have the 4 red isle factories to 5, 6 and 7. that's an awesome idea for inventory management. everquest back in 05 had a similar inventory set up for the bank. i think the eq bank had 48 slots. for each of the bank slots we had to buy storage crates form a vendor. each storage crate had 8 or 10 slots. then once we had a trader for the bazzar(marketplace) we unlocked access to the trader bag(biggest backpack in eq that had about 48 slots) ok so in each crate in the bank slots, we had trader bags and what ever smaller packs we had. we also tried to organize the backpacks by items type/gear/potions. as soon as you started to explain your 30 ships, I was like, oh yeah like the eq bank 😎

Since the changes, which factories would you recommend boosting with supply runs. (i'm taking the blue route 11:11, and also 2 routes in Africa and Red Isle)
Oh just read your comments on my last video. I would say none of them. I don't think the helm mats should be used for anything but silver. mathmatically it is just not close. even on the top city.
220mat supply run = roughly 653PO8
220 mat converted into silver then used to fund city = roughly 6,352Po8
I have a solid route right now that is around 60-70k PO8 daily.
Start at Kusini and hit all of the back Africa Coast (lvl 10 and lvl 7's back there) Come out to the "front of the coast" with Pembe, hit the major factories down the Eastern coast of Africa, cut over to Hovohovo, do the southern 4 of Red Isles, then the St. Amelie and those 5, Gueranda then to the lumberyard right by St. Annes. Cut through there hitting everything to Tanjona, then up to Shivaju, Sitrana, around to that weaver, Palisade and in. Takes about 50 in a hurry.
Total silver cost to keep it up and running is around 400k, 7 or 8 Lvl 10's, 4 or 5 Lvl 9's, a few 8's everything else base Lvl 7.

@@Polemos_Action Selling LVL 2 Helm Drugs to Scurlock and Rahma. I have about 4 mil in those items in my warehouse. I generate about 800k of those a day, and spend about 300-400k on Factory up keep.

Dragons Dogma is catching my eye, Helldivers II... I occasional go back to a handful of others. Including AC: Black Flag, which was really a missed opportunity for this game. BEING a ship can only be interesting for so long.
You said something about silver output or something like that with regard to supply runs and factories. Am I missing something? Is there a way to earn silver dynamically via the production facilities?
I know we earn p8s, but I don’t see any way in the game to earn silver other than sinking ships, plundering, doing missions, or selling stuff. I think they really blew it when they didn’t incorporate a way to also passively earn some silver, like we can p8. I also have not seen an easy way to understand and compare which furniture is really the most all-around advantageous.

Yes there should be legendary heist opportunities and youc an also check a hostile take over territory before joining and only do it if there is no one else. That's how I got around 50% of my factories. Best of luck out there pirate!

I honestly haven't put to much effort into africa post patch. I think there are a few comments where people still do it. But math wise I don't think it comes close and would be better just to open East indies. Best of luck
Is it worth it still to branch out of the Red Isle? Love your vids and the info. I’ve been basically upgrading my Red Isle manufactories but is it still worth it to go to Africa or East Indies?
Even more than before i would say. You don't need to collect multiple times a day anymore, and since production per manufactory is extremely slow now, the amount of factories matters even more when u want to climb the leaderboards. On the other hand as a casual u get a lot more out of red isle when manufactories are on low-mid level, cause of the increased storage. So if u wanne rush u will need africa and india, if ur timelimited and fine with slow but constant progress theres now less need to expand.

I would say its still worth because the silver costs will start to not be worth as you level the red isles up. I would really push East indies as Harufu(the main city in Africa) is not to good anymore
@@25mmapdst if u cant afford both i would go for india first, since ways are most likely shorter to telok and if ur not into helm wagers its more efficient for multiple short routes.
For me lvl5 is the sweetspot in terms of funding and capacity, suiting my playtimes (casual) the best.
Are we sure that we will be physically building ships for our fleet? I know we don’t have any hard and fast info yet, but I was thinking that we would possibly be buying some type of pre built units.
That is a possibility! I have no idea. I just hate selling furniture and weapons for crumbs when I can just build ships out of them. Would be interesting though. Excited to see how they incorporate it

Hopefully fleet in s2 will make it somewhere in between. So that to top the leaderboards you still need that daily grind with income to fund but to play casually you can still get everything you want for casually playing the game.
That sounds like a solid compromise. I would also add other grinding mechanics to make it feel new or at least every day you can focus on a different aspect.
@@Polemos_Action yes, need to up the silver so it's equal to farm events to only running helm productions. So people don't have to figure out and only follow a meta.
No news about that patch tonight yet? If they change something again with factories, I haven't been brave enough to invest just in case they get wiped out.

I also hate how expensive they made fast travel. It’s stupidly expensive. Almost 1K silver to go from one side of the map to the other. And without fast travel, it would take all day to accomplish some basic things. Also, I haven’t found any way to earn the “square gold” coins. The only reason I have extra is because I paid for the big chest o’ treasure day one when I had a store credit of like $25. Lol
Ya silver becomes the main choke point for sure. I haven't found anyway to make gold. I also threw in some extra money for them...Not worth it though.

It's not as good as before, but for 5mins it's still a good amount of helm mats. I still do it

I think they made the changes because my guess they hired Jeremy Hunt as their financial advisor and like he has done with the uk he wanted to dominate the gaming world too.

Imagine if they’d put Labour in charge then…they would’ve sold all ubisofts gold for a fraction of its value, then borrowed off all their rival game companies at extortionate interest rates to make it so the game was worthless because it’s only ever paying back loans… oh and they would have let 10,000 pirates a week land on ubisofts shores unchallenged and give them plenty of freebies and benefits.

Yes that is correct. I would suggest funding and then waiting for the next day. don't waste time picking up half the capacity worth. You should have everything unlocked after 30days or so with minimal grind
I only crafted 1 of each ship, never thought of building multiple just to empty the warehouse.. in my opinion we need to be able to have a bigger warehouse, maybe something we could buy from the black market maybe with sovereign or something. Think warehouse 250 should be big enough for everything in game.
Ya it would be nice to have a little more space and if my quest items would just disappear. i have like 10 slots being held up by finished contracts...
the stab in the heart earnings nerf is a stab in the heart of the game. why buy it now when you cannot compete with those whose beneficial initial earnings can never be matched.

I have heard rumors we actually keep both PO8 and sovereigns, but obviously they could change at any point.

Ok at first the patch hit hard...my bro and I kinda went over how to navigate the new 8 run basically...it still takes for ever but once they're all 10, trust me it won't matter much...but can do Africa and red isles in one run (I still ignore inner Africa) and split indies into 2 runs through out the day (1 in morning 1 in evening)... but they need to add plunder to random events for higher up forts especially...so people will actually do premie and oosten n whatnot

As every game, its nice in first place till they start patching. The fun goes from level 10 to down the drain.
I would say it depends on the developer but in this case ubisoft could do a lot better to make it more fun and engaging
why have I lost all the bonuses of the road? I have all the islands and level 10 I have upgraded everything to the highest
I'm not quite sure about your situation but probably just that the patched corrected a error with how the trade routes were working.
@@Polemos_Action when improvements were made, the road bonus dropped to 7% and I don't know how to improve the road bonus
@@MarisStradnieks it would be in the "Helm empire upgrade book" but I think the max you will get is 7.5% now.

All that did was help the auction and sale sights who want all the stuff will just buy the silver and pieces of 8.
That is a benefit also, but I know there are players wasting their silver lv10 all the red isles. I think this can give some direction to those struggling.
Doing fort plunders for resources is the best way to generate silver.
For bulk silver, Plunders are really nice. For time spent, the roving missions are still just so quick I would feel like I am wasting free silver.

@@Polemos_Action I am 257 on the seasonal leaderboard but I am only casually pushing. The changes to the helm wager, only 15% chance from a full manufacturer, really slowed down progress.
@@pyratepotter4850 ya that does make it more difficult and you have to take the wager not full and sometimes in worse spots. Wish they had rewards out to 1000 but thats just because I don't think its possible any more for me to get anywhere near the top lol

Very true! Like this is nice for the early game players who want to play uber eats pirate 2.0 but I want more action methods to earn Po8s!
DO NOT UPGRADE ALL YOUR LOCATIONS TO LEVEL 10. Leave one or two at level 1. Because the helm wager will only trigger when the location is full! This way you can go around pick them all up and not have to wait 3 days to get your pop up for wager. Before you use to be able to stay on one location and just wait for 1 PO8 and keep collecting it until you got the pop up, now you the wager will only pop up when you collect from a FULL location.
🔥 i was wondering why I couldn't trigger the helm wager anymore. I spent 30mins collecting from a level 10 with supply buff. Thanks for the tip!
This game already has loads of hate from people and now they go shoot themselves in the foot. Great way to keep the player’s that kept playing by punishing us.

Это неприятно. Событие ставок в Helm, похоже, запускается только тогда, когда они полны, и, возможно, 1 из 9 сборов или около того. Похоже, они недавно это изменили. Желаю вам удачи в будущем.

hmm .. sorry .. but .. do You have a Real Live ??? i think this Upgrade to the funding Time of the Factories is totaly Bullshit for "normal" Players ... Players who have a real Live with Family and worktime ... i have around 1-3 H Playtime ... during the Week 1-1.5 h and on the Weekend maybe 3 h Per day ... and own now all Factorys around the red Iland .. i get know around 18K of eights .. per day on level 6-7 but i have problems now to finance my factorys , because i have to Finance full24h and not the Time to farm the Silver for it .. if i coud select the funding time by myself i coud put in what i have on Silver and so grow slowly .. but now i have to finance 24h and if the silver is not enough, i get nothing because the Factorys go inactive ... i hope Ubisoft will recognice that there are other People and not only 24/7 players wich no real live outside their computers !!
This is totally fair. I understand the frustration by both casual and hardcore players. I would really suggest abandoning red isles all together. And build up east indies. Specifically the 7cities i mention. This will make your silver go a long way
Why even care about leaderboards. Now that I got diamond there's no reason to keep going, there's no way I'm getting near top 8. No reason to keep playing for now.

The Pain...each patch I just look forward to when they make this game actually really good. Like it could get some major traction with a few additions.
Got 162 hours on this. Been waiting years for it to be honest. I'm disappointed. The leader board isn't anything. I mean you hit diamond and you really don't need to do anything. Things you can get with the pieces of eight aren't even worth it. Then the sovereigns barely get you anything good either. Sell your rum and gin to Scurlock and smoke and snuff to his opposite in India. Don't bother with the orders because you'll get more through your manufacturies. There really is nothing to do in the game after. I mean you can try and get to the top of the leader board but that just gives you bragging rights since the major sovereign rewards end at diamond. Yeah you get weekly but what is worth buying at the end of the day.
I also found that selling my manufactured goods to Surlock and the woman was an easy way to fast silver. Especially since they nerfed the other ways to rack up silver. I agree with you

Yeah don’t worry it resets next season….then you can start from scratch…like gran turismo deleting all the cars you’ve won and the licences you’ve passed…and telling you to start from scratch coz they can’t think of anything else to do with the game.
Don’t worry..you can kill la peste, maangonin, and the red crocodile once a day for some different clothes and sails and a few teeth……hence why I woke up Tuesday morning, seen what a joke it was after the update, and gave all my gear away, deleted my game and Ubisoft account and chucked the disc in the bin.
I was in the top 1000 and had every location maxed to 10 and every item available from the black market etc..
the game got very boring very quickly.
I understand that man...How many hours did you pour in? I still have hope they will make some big changes that will make this game grow again.
@@Polemos_Action well I had the game on release day, didn’t touch it til the next day coz I thought it’s bound to be crashing left right and centre on the first day…..after that I was playing 8/9am til 3/4am…every day until this update and that sealed it for me
They’re setting it up to be a coiner game, where if you can’t spend 16 hours a day on it you have to get your credit card out to keep up with the players who can live in the game who’ve won all the goodies.
What's this every hour BS? the quests always reset every odd hour for me and never got anything refreshed on even hours. So I get them every two hours but somehow you people get it every single hour? Lets not forget some bug where you don't get the 4th roving quest (almost constantly for me) and have to complete the 3 you did get so you can re-log and get the 4th. How about they fix this shit instead of "fixing" things that don't need "fixing."
This is a completely fair statement. There are still a bunch of bugs. Sorry you don't get them every hour that really hurts.... I also get the 4th roving bug often and it's super annoying.

@Polemos_Action simple, I own every factory at lvl 10, I log on once everything is full (4,500 each) collect everything which takes about 60 minutes and then open boxes bought with teeth that adds 8s to the cargo then on last 6 I accept the Helm wager and double everything.. so yes in about 90 minutes. Easy, I've even streamed it for friends on Twitch.

@Polemos_Action bro for the people who have been waiting for this game ever since they announced it would be basically ac4 but bigger, and better its a huge letdown. I get it if you're some brain-dead Joe-shmoe who thinks boats running out of stamina and playing mini games to collect resources, no boarding or player combat of any kind is fun or "a good pirate game" but for the rest of us expecting to board ships, have some cool semi tactical naval combat, go in to port and go crazy in town plundering, picking fights, you know, tye typical pirate shit? This game is a steaming pile.
@@Mr-117 i was expecting massive ship to ship battles and fleet vs fleet combat. So I understand the let down.
But to be honestly I have never liked the pvp in AC. I think it has always been weak and died quickly after launched. I wasn't expecting that to fit in well in anyway. This turned it into a unique fps which is what I wanted. There is still a lot to be desired and I do understand the frustration from players wanting ACBF 2.0.
I am still optimistic that they will bring this game around. They need to get their roi and right now the player base isn't that big. I estimate 30-100k. I'm sure they will keep updating the game till they bring more players in or run out of money.
@Polemos_Action I'll agree to the combat to a point. A lot of it was just clicking buttons, and your character did all the work.
That being said, nobody would have complained had they literally copied and pasted the mechanics, graphics, art style, etc.. from AC4. That's what the massive initial player base wanted and literally wouldn't stop shouting to this day. They didn't have to change ANYTHING just give us more of the same, and sure they could have updated the player character combat, but the ship combat was fine and people were satisfied with the click to kill combat system because the rest of the game was just too much fun to care.
They had 10 years to tweak and essentially just update and build upon an already completed game that their entire player based praised, and said was one of the best games they'd ever played, some saying it's the best pirate game out there. But instead of listening to ANY of their fans (ya know the people you're trying to sell the game to) they created an entirely new game with LITERALLY ZERO qualities from their prior game that that people couldnt get enough of that prompted this new project to begin with. Seriously WTH were they thinking??
