Damn, that was clever when you pulled and re-attached the patch cable over and over. Honestly, I've never thought to do that and yet it's so simple! Big up!!! This is a fun jam
You made a good commercial for Eventide Space, Volca Beats, and Microbrute. Very nice jam. Like how you are playing the mod matrix plugs, and using both hands. You play in a manner similar to my own style, but I tend to bring in noise bursts from Monotron Duo and Monotron Delay ribbon synths, mixing sonic totalism with techno. I've been using a Microkorg lately, but will be picking up a Microbrute tomorrow at Guitar Center. You have inspired me and I look forward to more of your jams.
Really awesome demo of Korg and Arturia working nicely together. I'm into this kind of setup as well, so I really needed to make sure that they harmonize before buying anything. Incredible techniques you use there, too! Really learnt a lot from this video.
Thanks for your feedback. For me there is no right or wrong way if something is sync, hormonized or cool together , if it sounds good in the end you are right : ) But i remember it was not easy to sync the Brute and you need a software editor to have access in details.
MossPrinten Thank you for your answer! In fact now I‘m really curious as to what software you used to change the parameters. Do you meed programming skills for that? Then I will surely not dare to touch anything... (I have the impression, though, that it‘s possible to sync them via sync out from the korg into the gate in on the Arturia. As to whether parameters still need to be changed, I don‘t know.)
@@GusWMusic i didint know about my programing skills : ) I am talking about a simple Editor that came with the Microbrute, if i remember right you haven't access to some parameters over the hardware.
I love the way you structure your jam, really nicely done, awesome bassline, makes me craving a microbrute again .I like what you did with Volca beats too :) Cheers from France !
Yea found out the sequence AFTER I HAD TO BUY ALL THIS EQUIPMENT from the video (thank you btw I'm broke now): D1, C#2, C#1, D1, C#1, D1, A#1, C#1. You need a sequenced LFO to turn down the filter on the first, second, 5th and 6th step to get the grove goin.
Thanks for your feedback Robbin, yes it's an expensive fun : ) and i am sharing with friends some equipment, so no need to buy all. Of course you need a sequenced LFO
That Eventide sounds fantastic. And how cool that it is a nearly identical sized footprint to the volca. Really looking to add bad ass reverb to my live set up. That might have to be it.
Indeed it is. Seems to suit mine I suppose. Was also thinking about the Strymon Big Sky but for whatever reason, I'm liking this a bit better. It's an easy determination to make though seeing how I have both of those synths myself. Thanks for the video. Good stuff.
Thanks Matt. The Strymon Reverbs are great, i like the Big Sky and El Capistan, but i also like the TC4000,Lexicon PCM.. , many good Reverbs out there .
Nice track! What did you do at 1:50? :D Could you explain your CV/Sync routing in general? That would be nice! I'm considering to buy a Volca Beats as an addition to my Microbrute...
+PCHSwS The left orange cable = MicroBrute syncing Beats over GateOut/Sync-in. Right orange cable = MicroBrute PitchOut going in Brute Pitch-in , for Pitch effects. 1:50 Black sync-out cable from Beats, also going in Brute Pitch-in, for Pitch effects. The Lfo is splittered 3 times with the audio-splitter.
+MossPrinten thank you! How is it possible to use gate out with sync in? 8 assume that only works when the step sequencer has no rests in the sequence?
You should put together a little switch box that can cut the signal to your patch bay in any which way you want. Make it easier on you to flick your wrist on a switch instead of pull the cable out every few measures.
MossPrinten You could totally go to Radio Shack and build one yourself, it's a really simple circuit, all you have to do is cut the signal. I guess you could buy a project box and a few switches with 1/8th in jack connections! :) That would work!
How are his hands just floating in the air with no arms??
Handy-capable
took me a while
is freaking me out
He trasentet human form, Now is a onipresent being, what he desieres? Is out of our knowlege, We only Know than he makes bangers
Ray man
this is the video that got me into hardware and now im an addict
I love how the volca's stutter function gets used to retrigger the closed hats in double time. Those little things make it!!!
Ok, after hearing this I'm definitely gonna dive into this whole synth thing.
you won't regret. your purse will xD
This is my purce, i don't know you!
very talented, thank you for the inspiring content
That microbrute has some brutal bass. This is some great sequencing/tweaking! :D
Was playing this a bunch back when i was getting into synths in 2016. Glad to see it still slaps
@@cents2mp Thanks a lot for the Great Feedback 👍🏻

Big love to France , Cheers Moss .
LOVE this! Those odd sounds that you pluck out of your Microbrute's patch bay make the song so catchy...
Thanks Eleni
So weird. Been listening to that Soltera track in my car a lot recently, and just happened upon this watching gear videos haha.
Amazing. Thanks for not talking. Dirty. Wet. Juicy. What every synth should be. I NEED this synth

this is just another proof that less is more. solid chilled track. 👍🎶
This just showed me that you don't need a lot of expensive equipment to make great music. I think I will sell some stuff.
Thomas Meyer I meannnn... that reverb pedal is almost $600 alone
