Yes, it's a combination of high tempos and the rolls/retriggers! Plus you would like to turn on the slides on all steps to have seamless transitions. The other cool feature of the Kick is that you can (unlike the Volca Bass) Motion Sequencer ALL KNOBS!
@@alfiekennedy1657 me too! I used to have also Volca keys, bass and FM... I've kept only the Kick! I think Volca Subbass would have been a better name for this unit. It's amazing and it can deliver a lot more than what the name itself suggests.
Except if you’re trying g to play with other gear at a set tempo then you can’t really make use of it live, but imagine you’d just sample some of the craziness then use sampler to bring it in on tempo
I can't believe you were able to do the drone from Mr. Oizo's "Inside the Kidney Machine"! This is the first time I've heard anyone produce an interesting sound from the Kick. Imagine what it could do if it had 2 voices instead of only 1. :-o
thank you, I didn't know about that Mr.Oizo song, but after checking it out, yeppa the sound is more or less the same. The Kick is very underrated: The name alone puts many shades on what this machine can actually do.
That machine filter is amazing, I really found it a superb designed instrument, somehow underrated ;)
I agree... I think Volca SUB would have been a better name choice! It does more than only kick sounds.
I simp for the MS-20 filter
This is some sick subbass. I had no idea it could do this!
who would have thought that little box could do that .......... very impressive I might buy 1
love the gritty drone
This was excelent 🔥
That is weirdly hypnotic, especially the slow pulsing, almost PWM effect in the tone - was this achieved by the speed trick with the tempo adjustment?

Amazing
My bathroom after taco binge 😅
is it possible to run the volca drone sounds through a pitch/octave shifter pedal?
I always run the volcas thru any kind of effects pedals. Imagination is your only limit!
Nice!
love it
Why u use the drop pedal with the volca?
To have even more subbass earthquakes! Btw here I wasn't using the Drop at all, it's the Volca stand alone.
@@JoelGilardini thanks god, never gonna buy that pedal. Thank u!!!
What type of pedal is hooked up
it's the volca kick alone. I was running it thru my pedal board, but all effects were turned off.
@@JoelGilardini nice! I honestly think it's better than the volca bass for bass sounds

I swear I heard my sub trying to shout 'HHEELLPP!' ;-)

@@JoelGilardini Yep! I've gotta say you've made a believer out of me!
this vid had me making fuck faces half the time... Volca kick is heavy equipment
Yeah I just discovered what a secret weapon it is and bought one. Sooo nice.
