Great composition. Reminds me of Higher Intelligence Agency or Human Mesh Dance from back in the day. Those little Volcas can groove. Korg is keeping the jam box industry in check for sure. Great vid.
thanks for the kind words! :) Oh yeah, KORG has really hit the spot with these little boxes... best gateway drug to analog synths and gear mania :) cheers!
Awesome jam! The Volca series is incredible, and at such a low price too. Nice to see someone else putting the Monotron Delay to use as well, I love mine.
Olli,Been following you fo the last year and a half. bought some of your releases on bandcamp and really dig your stuff. came across this DUB jam last week as a blast from the past. seeing your set up grow and transform has been cool with new euro rack stuff i.e. there is something about the these boxes that sound soo good and pure. Dig all your stuff and various journeys you have taken the past year.
Great jam! Your videos have really inspired me to get back to jamming and writing music with hardware as opposed to using a laptop and Ableton Live which has been my main setup for several years. So I assembled a small, component based, self contained mobile synth rig using the Volca FM and Volca Keys as the main components along with a Teenage Engineering PO-12 for drums. I think I would like to add a Volca Bass to help fill in the rhythm section while using the keys and fm (running through a MS-70cdr) for leads, melodies and pads. I really love the sound and flexibility you can get with these little synth modules.
I got similar set up ..korg volca beats, keys, drum, micro x,esx 1,2,roland aira tb3,tr8,vt3,system 1 and mx1...boss se70,I even had that es2 delay, got rid of it and my microbrewery which I regret,u r an inspiration man,I got make a new clip, bless .
wow!!! very nice hypnotic sounds!! happy to see that somebody can make those little boxes fly!! I own the volcas and monotribe too but i have to learn a lot to reach your hype! thanks for sharing! maybe if i have some questions I'll answer to you!
I finally hooked up my computer to the HiFi system. I liked this clip even on laptop speakers, but to hear it with *real* sound is an epiphany! Great stuff!
This is another really good one, the punch of the kick and bass is just right, on my headphones at least. Video after video you notice that the volcas produce better sound than so many more powerful and expensive synths. I don't know if it's because their limitations make it easier to find that sweet spot and stick to it, I have seen so many fat videos made with them. The only similarly rich textures is what i hear from modular videos, not so much from Moog, DSI, or famed or expensive all-in-one synths. Or the guys with volcas are broke and unemployed and they have more time to become good musicians and learn the gear?
Great good old video! Volca were always my most beloved synths! I have now a Kick (which is a wonderfull subbass monster) and the Keys. Tomorrow I shall get again a Bass (I used to have one years ago, sold it, and now I found one again used for a very good price).
yes, the little KORGs really do complement each other well tonally.. they have definitely been engineered like this. After almost two months in my possession i have yet failed to make them sound dull. cheers and thanks for listening and commenting!
Wow, this is what i want to do, and why i have been interested in getting all sorts of synths, i just love this kind of low, punchy, growly bass with fat beats and is real ambient, and your videos/jam sessions are perfect, new favorite person on youtube probably..
I certainly hope you are not bored with compliments, because here goes another one: awesome and inspiring :) I'm still learning basic music theory and piano technique (only few months), but with a clear goal of going into synth music as soon as possible. I always thought it would have to be expensive and complicated so I was stopping myself from rushing in, but you just proved that with (relatively) inexpensive setup you can achieve such an amazing results! And it also does look like a great fun, so I think that my christmas presents may come early this year :) Thank you again for an inspiration!
thanks for the inspiring words. It is always great fun to hear that my music helps and provides inspiration for others, with those words, keep up the music and never stop! :)
brilliant piece of music and live performance .I love all the drum beats ,sequencing ,FXs ,movement changes and the whole feel of the track will buy on Bandcamp if this track is available.stunning and best use of the korg volcla synths you are a genius
Ha, clever use of the metronome on the keys! I got these recently, they are a lot of fun indeed, and vids like yours really bring some extra motivation and inspiration. Cheers mate!
Thanks mate, great to hear its inspirational.. that motivates me to make more music!! :) On the metronome, a bit loud maybe but i think it works. :) And yes, they are fun indeed, love em! peace!
I'm very impressed by what you do with all of these synths and this track makes me think of Tangerine Dream. I'll have to take a look at the Volca synths as they seem to be very playable. I've got a YamahaTenori-on, a Moog Little Phatty, a Korg Kaossilator Pro and Electribe in my setup but have never produced anything like this. You've inspired me.
wow thanks! it makes me happy to hear that the stuff i make inspires other people, this is what pushes me to create new tracks! keep up the work, and always remember to record the stuff you create!! cheers and peace!
Omg dude u killed it!!! I have these machines and your my inspiration so sick such a good job seriously u put a heart beat back into this style of music don't stop!
ollilaboratories I bought my Volcas after seeing this video! Really! And I have never played synths before... I'm a bass player. If you want take a look at my videos with my synths!
Great work! This session has a very Trent Reznor kind of vibe, with an 80’s TV theme undertone (in a good way!) - as if ‘The Social Network’ score collided with the ‘Knight Rider’ theme! Subscribing!!!
wow, thanks for the kind words! Yes, the boxes really grow on you, and working with separate units (bass, keys, drums) like this creates a natural work flow which is extremely inspiring.
Hi, i found your music while looking for Jomox T-Resonator clips. It's fun to hear and see what other users create with their small plastic boxes, but your music is way better than mine :) Great stuff, i really enjoy listening to your music while working (i'm a video editor so i love loooooong inspirational tunes). Thanks for sharing the vibes.
Thanks mate, appreciated,! :) I listened to your stuff, dont second guess yourself... you have loads of talent and a good feel for long natural buildup without loosing the tension. Keep it up, and dont stop the music we need more :) cheers!
Great! Love the Flow.. First video that creates desire to buy those volcas. There are moments where i could imagine Dirk Ivens of The Klinik step forward with his head fully bandaged and giving some vocals through his megaphone.. ;-)
thanks!!! yeah, the volcas have some great tweakabilities for their price range, i really like them. Haha, thats a really cool comment, i am actually a big old fan of dive and his other project. :D Cheers and thanks!!
I'm so ADHD I rarely listen to something this long from beginning to end. But this video is pure gold.
i am really glad that you liked it! thanks a lot! peace
Came to checkout the Volca; stayed for the music!
thanks man!! :) cheers !
I too discovered BURG after searching for Volca vids. He writes some great music that I find very inspiring.
I had never seen this - better late than never! What a great jam
Thanks a lot 🙏
I second that metronome usage. Very clever. The volcas have started my synth obsession. Keep these comin'!
thanks! there will be more tunes, i promise :) keep up the music, peace!
Really enjoyed 5:45 build up.
thanks!!!
Great jam that's in the pocket and funky like Old School funk with progressive elements..............
thanks much!!! peace!
The Volca virus caught me too ... very good haedware vibration
wow trippy, perfect for chilling out while watching the dusk
one of the few volcas video that doesn't make them sound like they're cheap toys. thanks for sharing!
You would be surprised how good they sound in person.
They sound pretty great once you run them through a bit of reverb.
That's because of T-resonator, which isn't cheap :)
That is the type of comment you can read on pretty much 3/4 of volca videos...
@@AntoSous its cheap and its sound good ^^
Seeing this video after years reminds me exactly how and when my G.A.S. changed my life... Thank You!!!
Awesome. I love how it's textured but not clutterred. I can basslines apon basslines that are only there in my head.
Glad you like it! cheers!
The volca keys metronome sounds great !
Great jam, one of the older ones that started my music gear addiction, and inspired my love for music making. Thank you :)
i love what you are doing with the volca bass at 8:38
Great composition. Reminds me of Higher Intelligence Agency or Human Mesh Dance from back in the day. Those little Volcas can groove. Korg is keeping the jam box industry in check for sure. Great vid.

Thats great to hear.. love that you are building a hardware setup! :) keep up the music and have loads of fun jamming.. !! :D peace !
Hell yeah man this is awesome! Was looking at Volca videos that aren't just the generic Acid sound.
thanks a lot... yeah, the volcas can do so much more than the old ACID beat :D cheers!
This is PORN! best jam i've watched so far!
thanks mate! i am really glad you liked it.. thanks for your comment! peace!

wow!!! very nice hypnotic sounds!! happy to see that somebody can make those little boxes fly!! I own the volcas and monotribe too but i have to learn a lot to reach your hype! thanks for sharing! maybe if i have some questions I'll answer to you!

What you getting for a drum machine .something like volca ?
I finally hooked up my computer to the HiFi system. I liked this clip even on laptop speakers, but to hear it with *real* sound is an epiphany! Great stuff!

Really excellent composition. Deep, brooding image for your set. I felt my mind drifting into a nice place.
Thanks!!
wow you make it sound like a Juno John Carpenter style. Freakin love this.
Great good old video! Volca were always my most beloved synths! I have now a Kick (which is a wonderfull subbass monster) and the Keys. Tomorrow I shall get again a Bass (I used to have one years ago, sold it, and now I found one again used for a very good price).
Coming back to this after a bit: what rich tones you have found here, and a really musical setting.
yes, the little KORGs really do complement each other well tonally.. they have definitely been engineered like this. After almost two months in my possession i have yet failed to make them sound dull. cheers and thanks for listening and commenting!
