Girl, the passion and the love you have for your work is absolutely amazing. The more time you spend the more you make it better and all the effort you put in and all the hard work you do all by yourself is called the girl's power. And you're very beautiful and precious not gonna lie. I love your covers. God bless you!!! ❤🌹
"The mix can always be better, but you can't work on it forever" I will print that in front of my desk ^^ Thanks again for the work you put in, It was a great experience and you nailed everything ! Rock on !
Agreed, it's a helpful trick, even for other kind of creators (me with creative writings, for example) the writing could always be better but at some point you have to stop looking at it and go for it :D Thanks Rachel !
Thank you very much for making me part of this video, it was a very wonderful experience that I really enjoyed, especially because we made new friends around the world! - Luis Alonso
Just stopping back by this video to let you know all the work you put into your covers is appreciated! I don't what your dreams and aspirations are, but I know with your work ethic and passion they will be achieved!!
Honestly, these kinds of insights are so brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing the process! Makes it so much easier to connect with the art you create
As someone that edits (poorly, I might add) their own videos...only video editors know how much work goes into making even just a ~4:00 minute long video. Great job!!
Your covers are simply the best in the entire youtube. Believe me when I say that your fans we are every day waiting to see when you release a new cover. Now we can see and appreciatte all the very hard work behind the covers. Absolutely impresive. We only can say THANK YOU Rachel for sharing every gift you give us with you covers!! Congrats!!
As a small video editor, I have to say... this video is very well done. Not just the whole design, all of the jokes (yay 😁), the pacing but also all of your explanations regarding the creative process. Very instructive ! Keep up the great work Rachel ! 👍
Thanks for the insights, I am a film student. And am making a music video for the first time with my step daughter. So I have learnt a lot from your process. Hope it goes well..love all your your work.
So interesting to hear about the complexity of putting these incredible covers together - I feel a lot of what you say, on a much smaller scale, with my own podcasting work, so am in awe of how you handle something vastly more complex. Great work Rachel. Much love, and look forward to seeing what the future holds for your awesome channel as you go from strength to strength.
Thanks for walking through this! While it all seems like magic to us in the audience, there's definitely a lot of effort and thought behind it. And honestly, I think knowing that makes these covers even cooler
I have just found this chanel and I fell in love with your singing. You're incredible, not just in singing but carrying on the whole process. You got another subscriber.
Wow!! I had no idea how much work you have to do for your videos! All I can do is say thank you for sharing your talents with us. I really enjoy hearing you sing:)
As someone who still feels like a relative noob at this video-editing music stuff, this vid was SOO relatable and relieving to see how much effort these types of videos take 😂😂 Fantastic work!!!!
I've been listening to your covers for awhile now, really interesting to see your process. Don't know of any other channels that do these kind of videos. Insanely skilled, keep it up!
Dang, I have a whole new appreciation for what goes into these videos! You just got a new pateron supporter lol. And that piano really does stand out in the cover after listening to it again.
So, you are basically a one person studio. You have to know how to sing, play instruments, record audio, record video, add proper lighting, edit video, mix and master audio tracks (and so on). Must have taken many years to learn all of that ;-) And the learning process never stops.
This is an older video, I know, but I’m only just now seeing it first the time. And all I can say is “Wow!” I’ve always known that a lot goes into making these videos, even if they can seem, for lack of better words, (and I don’t mean this in a disparaging way at all, quite the opposite in fact) effortless to the viewer. For example, videos with multiple layers of you singing (such as If I Had A Heart), that takes incredible effort, but you make it look seem less to the viewer. I would be interested in seeing and hearing more of how that process works.
Hi Rachel -- fascinating to see how much effort and expertise goes into your videos - a real eye opener -- a small request, your best song for me is Scarborough Fair; please record some of the Golden Oldies -- your audience will just get bigger -- thanks Terry xx
Translate this Rachel..... Você é uma cantora mararvilhosa, você merece o sucesso, tenha fé , não desista , sua voz é como uma brisa suave nos ouvidos de quem te escuta.....aqui é uma grande fã te escrevendo...(Rodrigo)
This is amazing, thank you for sharing your process with me :) As an aspiring music and video producer and vocalist I have learned SO much! Not to mention your covers are absolutely beautiful and so inspiring for me! Thank you!
It was fun :) great seeing how ya tackle these projects. I’m glad you take the time to get things as best as can be, can always tell there’s a lot of work put into these tracks.
Just now getting to watch this, but it was a great look into what it takes to make a music video. Thank you. Who knows. It may even come in handy sometime in the future. 🤷🏼♂️
Impressed, so you got one new sub - It's more work than just playing in a cover band which I did for years until I got too old. I mixed our "demos" which was just rehearsal recordings. I bought a series of templates ie. presets for vocals, drums and bass which were easy to work with and be done. I would likely still be twisting and turning knobs else.
i have to say i can tell you're totally dedicated and i completly respect it... i get it im a giant nobody....but im someone whos lived in this world long enough to know hard work....please keep it up!!!.. i know editing and stuff can bundle up! kudos PS...---- FAV VIDEO IMO to each their own...was the Vikings cover as i love the culture
Love this Rachel - such a generous and insightful BTS. Your video recording/editing process is particularly eye-opening (especially for someone who personally has not invested much on this side!)
This was amazing--thanks for sharing this video! It was very interesting, and your video editing and project skills shine through in the presentation. I'm happy to hear you have a proper video editing computer now that suits your needs--that makes a huge difference! I do some hobby video editing with DaVinci Resolve and as you said it was a great piece of software. In other news, I wanted to say that I have your "My Mother Told Me" video on a tab as a permanent resident on my browser and play it whenever I launch into a gaming session of Valheim. Thanks again for sharing this side of your artistic endeavor. I enjoyed seeing another side of you! 😎
jeeej talented and so beautiful : ) when you did song "my mother told me" i dont know what more beautiful, your voice in it or you ;) gl and thx to share your hard work probably it will inspire lot of ppl : )
Cool to see, nothing wrong with 1 video a month. It's a lot of work. It's a lot of work for me with just my simple videos LOL! I'm not even adding extra features in editing, nor would I know how haha! So you are doing an awesome job!
So cool to see your creative and technical process, it makes me hold so much more /complete appreciation for your videos 🌟 You're definitely on the level of continuous mastery 🌠 I can only semi relate from being a film maker (almost professional!) of how arduous it can be. It's a labour of love! NB I sincerely recommend trying the wide variety of plant based milks (hazelnut milk with coffee will change your life) I've been dairy free for several years after learning what happens to the baby cows and their momas But I digress Keep shining brilliantly, Rachel! 🌟
Very impressive! It was seriously interesting to learn how everything goes on in the background. I always loved to see BTS content for films, and this was likewise engaging! Thank you for sharing! :)
This was really neat! Thank you for sharing! I also know the pain of trying to edit on a horribly under-equipped computer. I started video editing almost 20 years ago on the basic family computer and somehow I was miraculously able to get out a few videos through jump frame editing. I don't know how I ever did that lol
I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm pretty sure you're gonna say you use magic to make them because that's the only explanation for how something can be so magical 😅👍
@rachelhardy I know it's a old video, but I only watched it today for the first time, was very intersting! I was wondering, at the end you are talking about how missing the release of the video resulted in fewer views, why is that?
Yeah, my imac is on its last legs, but I’m a logic user so i still use it for most of my music. It is also supported by a windows slave to load some libraries. There’s no way the imac could handle even the lightest of video projects, so i have a PC for that.
A sneak peek into the magic.
Girl, the passion and the love you have for your work is absolutely amazing. The more time you spend the more you make it better and all the effort you put in and all the hard work you do all by yourself is called the girl's power. And you're very beautiful and precious not gonna lie. I love your covers. God bless you!!! ❤🌹
Impressed about her knowledge on the technical side, not just a golden voice👍
Being good at one thing isn't enough anymore. You need to be good at multiple things if you want to be "famous".
This is where the fun begins
"The mix can always be better, but you can't work on it forever" I will print that in front of my desk ^^ Thanks again for the work you put in, It was a great experience and you nailed everything ! Rock on !
Thank you for all of your hard work on this!!!
@@RachelHardy You are so beatiful...
I’ve always wanted to make a UA-cam channel for a long time and I was wondering how UA-cam video covers are made?
Agreed, it's a helpful trick, even for other kind of creators (me with creative writings, for example) the writing could always be better but at some point you have to stop looking at it and go for it :D Thanks Rachel !
You love your work. Thats a rare thing to have.
This is easily the best video Rachel has made. Very informative.
I think it’s great that you are showing all the hard work that goes into this, I imagine most people have no idea. Nothing worthwhile is easy.
I love this "more talking" kind of video, thank you for sharing with us, Rach!
Thanks for sticking around for many years. Your support doesnt go unnoticed :)
Your music is beautiful...I could watch you all day.
Thank you very much for making me part of this video, it was a very wonderful experience that I really enjoyed, especially because we made new friends around the world! - Luis Alonso
Thanks for joining and also for helping me get the ball rolling on this project! Couldnt have done it without you. Love your new song!!

I haven't made it through a 20-minute UA-cam video in a while. This was excellent!
Thanks david! Nice seeing a familiar face in the comments!
Im glad you *cover* this topic for us :>
Wow!, great job. That´s a lot of work.
Describing yourself as lazy while showing us the crazy amount of work you do for each video Rachel? Loved seeing what you put into your art!
😂😂 oops
Made me respect your end products even more now that I see how much entrepreneurial effort you put into it.
As a small video editor, I have to say... this video is very well done. Not just the whole design, all of the jokes (yay 😁), the pacing but also all of your explanations regarding the creative process. Very instructive ! Keep up the great work Rachel ! 👍
Your Assassin's Creed- Ezio's Family cover was AMAZING!!

I too use a potato 2011 iMac and have never thought to record in a separate project. Thank you for your wisdom, sensei
So glad you could find something of use in here! Come back next time for more Tech Tips with Rae!

@Colm McGuinness Music good to see you here 😀
Looking forward to it. You very talented.

@Rachel Hardy just started listening to your covers and has always wondered how you make them sound so amazing 👏 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's really interesting seeing your process.
You work really hard, I hope things continue to grow for you.
so great your voice is magical!
dope video! always fun to see how artists do in the studio. always more impressive when people do their mixing on their own

I don't really care about equipment but damn, your webpage listing them is neat! I appreciate such dedication and care :)
this is going to be awesome
I love your music! Thank you so much for working hard to make these amazing covers.
I would not have thought so much brute labor was the first requirement for making one of these. Fascinating look at the process
Can’t lie your covers are pretty 🤌

Your work is amazing! you're really a great singer. Please, consider covering some jazz music, I think people would love it.
Thank you, for all your work and dedication you truly are so inspiring ! Btw thins kind of video is really pleasant, keep it up :)
I have so much MORE respect for you now that I know what you go through!

Nice behind the scenes video!
I want to know everything about your equipment!
That song (5:55) is pretty nice. Did compose it yourself? If so, can you please make an extended version?
Очень круто поешь)
ты Умница)так держать)!
The rode mic is the best! cause it takes the sound as flat as possible ~ for that price range >>therefore, EQ can be best optimized!
You know what you’re talking about more than I do!!
@rachelhardy I know it's a old video, but I only watched it today for the first time, was very intersting!
I was wondering, at the end you are talking about how missing the release of the video resulted in fewer views, why is that?
amazing sharing this aside from your singing..
What is the reason for doing the Audio editing on a mac and the video editing on a PC? Software selection?
Yeah, my imac is on its last legs, but I’m a logic user so i still use it for most of my music. It is also supported by a windows slave to load some libraries. There’s no way the imac could handle even the lightest of video projects, so i have a PC for that.
Rachel: "Why do I only create one video every month?"
Also Rachel: uploads twice in September
