I’m from India & right now the 2nd wave of pandemic is ravaging our country.. with cyclones on both our east & west coasts. Every single person is feeling discouraged. Your video brought a lot of solace with it’s wisdom of “right now where we are, is the only place we can be.” Thank you. Subscribed. 🧡

@@juliakristinamah For me, the biggest takeaways were to not dwell on making mistakes because, for example, every time I make one at work I’m learning and improving, and making the proper adjustments! Also, I’ve come to realize that the world doesn’t owe me anything, and if I want something, I need to put the effort in to get/achieve it

Yep. The Name it and Claim it movement is lying to us. We can do our best and sometimes we dont get what we want even if we work hard for it. Sometimes the process teaches us alot and grows us but we dont get to the finishline where we have that job or that body we wanted or the degree we wanted. We can just do our best.

Yes the idea that we are born the same have the same amount of hours in a day, I know the value of time in a way I didn't before, my wingman, Lukas had to show me this. He wated me to walk with him he had a whole realm of Lukasland only he wanted me to do it with him. I heard his somehow from him 'I know I don't hsve as much time as you do, I just want to spend all mine with you.' And he'd be so happy to go he'd jump up like a bronco and come down wiggling his butt and he looked like a big ol furry Rott. Those memories come back when missing him comes on or I wonder if he's around trying to let me know he misses me too.

Sometimes in spirituality we understand that our mind is our enemy, a "Monster", i COMPLETELY disagree; because, ok , so we know it's not productive and good to beat ourself up. But i believe our mind want the Good, we have to remember our mind is NOT the product of the 'evil' society, but of Nature: thé way the neurones communicate is the création of Nature, not man. And so, as Always in Nature, there is in the natural flux of thinking, a way to exhaust the wastes. So we Can be more trustfull to our mind, and when it says "get up and do this you are such a coward" it can be right ! I mean we human of 2021 we lives at ..1% of our capacities? (intellectual and physical) we can do better

    1. Do less. But consistently. So much less, than it's not overwhelming.
    2. You can't be anywhere else. Wether it's future or past. Be present... in present.
    3. Just because you want something it doesn't mean the world owes it to you. (but if we pay attention to it we might win in a long run)
    4. Our brain is always looking for a threat. All we have to do is to at least to get it from negative to neutral.
    5. Celebrate all wins! We are all beat up. As a christian I'd prefer a view that it's not me who beat me up. Devil/society/family etc. as a kid I wouldn't criticise myself to deepest moments. It happened to me.
Thank you. My name is Denis, I am 26. I am struggling to start my architectural career.

Part of me constantly feels guilty when I'm not making progress. Guilty because I know that nearly in my program has kids, full times jobs, spouses, and mental health struggles of their own. Personally I find it important to identify the source of my feelings of discouragement. If the identified sources are not modifiable - if it is something I cannot do anything about, I learned that the sooner that I accept it, the earlier I can get out of the discouragement zone. Julia's advice on starting small consistent steps helps a lot because these steps not only distracts you from magnifying the nonmodifiable sources of your discouragement, but it also keeps you motivated mentally. Knowing that you are doing something towards your goals help a lot.

I know I need to realize me feelings are just my thoughts are just words words in sentences. Ya I am looking back in the past but I have control what I think and I will change them I do grieve what could have been. But I will move forward because I don’t want to sit in the miserable . Thank you. It's trying to start a dating life for me is what has been hard. Nothing seems to be working out or making anysense. I know I have to keep trying, but Its challenging to see the point if all I see and feel is discouragement.

I wish I could say I'm all better from listening to you but it's just words I'm hearing. I'm so discouraged with people and life. I'm dealing with tonsilitis right now and in addition was passed over for a promotion which is the 3rd time this has happened to me in my career. I think being gay, I've not been allowed to promote up as the straight white males didn't want a gay guy to be at their level so they all kept me down. I recently had 3 interviews with what would be a dream job and after multiple attempts just to get a status update, they won't even return my emails. People are just absolutely horrible and I'm starting to think living on earth in actually hell and when we die our reward is heaven having to deal with this crappy life.
