    1. Be kind to yourself at hard times. Positive self talk.
    2. We are the thinkers of our thoughts.
    3. Realize that life is hard. Instead of asking why me, ask why not me? Acknowledge that you are human being and life is not easy. So I am not gonna give up, everything is temporary. Sometimes it is hard and sometimes it is not. Just accept that.
    4. Take responsibility for your choices. Look at the situations in your life and see how many things are there that are your responsibility and how much are optional. Some things are must to do for survival. But there is a lot of stuff we are putting on our plate that is in our mind and not necessary. Take responsibility of only those things that matter. Make choices. Choose to do things that matter.
    5. Step out of your comfort zone. Stop waiting to not feel scared. It's not like from going 0 to 1000, but let yourself be a little bit uncomfortable. A lot of stress is traumatizing. But do something to grow. Comfort zones are only perceptions of threat. You won't die. Step out.
    6. Speaking of failure. Change your perception about failure. Ask yourself why you fear failure so much. Change your meaning of failing.
    7. Giving up is not an option. If you decide that it is what you preferred then don't let yourself stop because of fear or self doubt.
    8. Stop looking for shortcuts. There is no easy button for anything. No magic solution. We don't actually do the work and deal with the stuff. We waste all of the time trying to get the shortcut. It is not going to be roses and sunshine all the time. So, do the work. It's not always easy and painless.
    9. You have to have healthy boundaries. If you are tossed around in life like a ping pong, it means you don't have boundaries. Communicate to let People know what's okay with you and what's not.

Get out of your comfort zone! The brain has been protecting us for a million years to survive in a harsh world. Uncomfortable feelings and negative bias is just a protective mechanism to keep us safe. The world is a different place and we must realise these are just 'feelings', we will not die! I've spent a lifetime at sea in all kinds of difficulties. And I've seen the strongest of men break when things fail and such men thought they had control. Control is not the answer but flexibility for acceptance of the unexpected is within each moment and thus being awake and present in each 'now' and to observe with the intuitive essence of curiosity. I'm sure we've all seen a person of great character who inspires those who are close at hand during times of great difficulties and who appear to be able to calmly seek or adapt solutions for such things. You're an 'intuitive feeler', for the signs are quite clear, thus have the gift for such things.

Julia has such a compassion to teach. She is authentic as you hear the fluctuations in her voice knowing that she has experienced these same emotions. Life is hard. We must have healthy boundaries. How does a Catholic let go of guilt? How does a caring, loving mother say no to grown adult children in distress? I love her coaching but how to implement them is a challenge? I am a nurse with a master's and mindfulness coach but still struggle in my marriage & family of 33 years. I will explore what Guilt means to me and keep exploring body, mind & spirit boundaries in my life.

I am so amazed and beside myself to see that your video received 11 dislikes and that 909 people liked it! I couldn't disagree with anything you touched based on. I'm currently on my journey to self discovery and happiness. I wish I didn't try to take the short cuts I did but I'm so blessed to have learned the hard way. I can't begin to explain how life changing and motivating it is for me to see these LITTLE changes. Because these little changes are HUGE for me and it only pushes me to try harder. What goes wrong when you try harder? NOTHING. A few years ago I thought there was something wrong with me, like I was just the unlucky one walking this earth. Today, I feel so powerful and laugh when I see how far I've come. I've learned that the greatest attribute I had all along was my STRENGTH! Along blossomed courage, compassion and LOVE. I had a choice and I took responsibility for it. I'm here now and even though everything isn't where I want it yet, I'm already that much happier! Your video just helped me get through another day. Thank you Julia!

I think part of the reason we always talk bad about are selves is because from a young age we are taught to not be conceded and arrogant. Which this mentality has traveled with us are whole lives and it slowly escalated to us hating are selves, because if we feel good we feel guilty.

But now, I’m so much better with things that while some of these points still show me my own gaps, I am more capable and secure to address them. I’m grateful. ❤

Hi Julia, you are a ‘Godsend’ in the true meaning of the word. Your delivery style is one thing which makes your messages so potent and helpful. I am so thankful for your help. Could I suggest though, that you slow up just a little so that I can take your message in better. Thanks heaps Julia.

Great video. The one that stood out for me was failure and fear, and how we view it, very helpful for me. I will definitely be looking at both of these differently in the future. Thank you.

Thanks. I was directed to your podcasts by a friend. I was looking for your boundary podcast but found others and starting listening. I just listened to how to not let others control my emotions. I loved the tool of looking for my triggers and how a very small happening was triggering my big emotions. Triggers are just old wounds or scars that are inflamed. My trigger is loss. This helped me get back to reality and the size of my previous problem evaporated. Thank you

Hi Julia, I'm here initially because of my brother. What I can tell, he is a narcissist and many of your podcasts are relative to his behaviour on many levels. Thankyou for your channel, you have helped to a big degree.

I connected most with the way we can get rid of the negative thoughts, they are "the unrecognised threat" to our mental health. I justify the presence of the negative thoughts in my mind by assuming that I'm trying to analize my problem(s) to find a solution. And the reality of things I fall into a spiral of negative thoughts that lead me to nowhere but low self esteem, doubts, fear etc... Thanks for stretching your hand to lift us and for being such an inspiration!

The part about thoughts I needed to hear this . Gods word proves what you saying is true . We are told to cast down all vain, negative thoughts that dont line up with Gods truth concerning our identity and life in Christ . All other thoughts are not ours and the enemy throws trash . Cast them down and pick up truth . Amen.
