Easy to forget its simplicity when working in one GIANT sweetspot! Thx for sharing!
I have watched a lot of Minimoog videos and appreciate all of the additional details you included! Thank you very much.
You're very welcome!
Thank you. I had no idea you could pull the LFO knob up!
Thanks for this great demo!!
Worth noting that the noise in the modulation section is not white/pink but rather pink/red, depending on the setting of the white/pink switch in the noise section:
When noise is set to white in the mixer, you get pink noise as a mod source.
When noise is set to pink in the mixer, you get red noise as a mod source.
Filter tracking amounts are 1/3, 2/3 and 3/3 (full) (not 25%, 50% and 100%).
What kind of amp do you have it hooked up to?
It's going straight into the Zoom H6 for this video... It would be good to hook it up to a big old Ampeg one day.
Add Reverb, Delay, and maybe just ten presets and I'll pay $5000
You could hot glue a Zoom MS70CDR to it! It's just silly money now, there's no way we'd be able to afford one today, with or without a pedal glued to it. You know what, I think I'm gonna do that! Where's the gluegun?

It is nice, sounds good....BUT....MOOG over priced this in my opinion. For a mono synth, it just it too over priced for what you get. For me it would be more worth it at 2000 or 2500-ish. I can think of a lot of synths I would be more interested to buy for nearly 5000. My Moog Matriarch is really just as great sounding. I think I would more likely to go for the Sub 37. If I had unlimited funds and space for synths, maybe...and still maybe not.
Thanks for your comment, I think I agree with you re: matriarch Vs mini sound... They're different, but in some ways the matriarch and grandmother are channeling older modular stuff. As to the price, well we talked about this on BOOcast #11 if you'd like to check that out... But basically - we got the mini for £3,200 and when we went to do insurance last year we were recommended to insure it for £6,000... In other words everything's becoming more expensive... Or in even more other words, the value of money itself is crashing.... I currently wish I had got myself a grandmother for £700...I have no idea what they charge now...
I agree, $5K was a huge swing and a miss. The 2016 RI was heavily ripped on for being $3500 and often on sale for $3K. Moog was just recently bought out and I wonder if re-launching another model D run was part in attracting a buyer, or possibly a move for the new buyer to re-coup capital.
@@unisonosc1617 How is it a miss lol? Provide data and not opinion. They've been sold out several times here. You may personally not like it, I don't like the price either. But it's certainly not failed to shift units, anything but. And their sale, has little to do with this one synth.
I had the aftertiuch fault like so many on this 2022. Rubbish customer service and drawn out affair,
Sorry to hear this. I've not had any issues yet, but don't like the sound of your experience at all. Thanks for sharing.
at 13:00 That is beautiful!
Thank you!
