I'd love to hear what this song means to you and anything else you'd like to add to this analysis. What song would you like to see next?

I listened to the song in a bar at age 18, it was my favorite song there. Now at age 41 I pretty much feel the same about the song. I didn't know Maynard was the singer and he was in Tool. Thanks for the explanation, great job!

I'm actually impressed how well this song/analysis hits me, in ways I didn't know how to articulate by my own.

Awesome analysis! I'm not really well-known about A Perfect Circle but I knew your video would be amazing and I wasn't wrong. I'll be checking more of the band, nice work Nena 😉

Thank you for the great analysis !

Oh yess, love this song as well! Maynard has some really spiritual lyrics that I think can have so many different meanings to them which I find really enjoyable. I interpret these songs differently every time 😅

Great analysis, Nena. Figures that when Maynard is forthcoming on the meaning of the lyrics, he still finds a way to hold some stuff back. Hope "Judith" is next up, but anything off this album will be great to see analyzed. All of A Perfect Cirlce's material is great, but (my opinion at least) "Mer De Noms" is their best work.
