You gotta do HYCAD as well when it releases! It’s probably in my top 10 favourite TW songs and it hasn’t even released yet 😅
Saw the gist of this comment awhile back and I've repeated it often. The Warning is not just their band name, it's their mission statement.
😊🤘🏻⚡️
The Warning never disappoints. The band has mentioned about S!CK: "A song about fearing that you never lived out your life and desperately wanting to live it."
Great summary! :)
I have no doubt whatsoever that these very intelligent young ladies have written something much deeper than a fun rock song. As you indicated, Gen Z has a bad reputation for nihilism, suicide, apathy, etc. and The Warning has mentioned that in such songs as 'Z', which is a scathing criticism of their generation.
Yes! I agree that they keep coming back to this theme. I think it’s something that they have great concern about, with good reason. Another fantastic song, for sure! 😊⚡️🤘🏻
Hi Timberwolf
A word of caution to anyone who has the notion. Don't take these expressed emotions literally that they actually feel this way. Often when DPA write songs it's a reference to something that they're considering or analyzing.
Absolutely! I mentioned that in the video - I definitely don’t think this is autobiographical, simply a cautionary tale! 😊🤘🏻⚡️
With the exception of Animosity and Narcisista 😁
@@Amaranthine100023, Breathe, When I'm Alone as well.
Not their personal feelings. At all. They are living the life they have chosen and having a great time. I’ve never seen them happier.
Absolutely! That’s why I mentioned it in the video. Definitely not autobiographical, but a great cautionary tale! 😊🤘🏻⚡️
True to never assume anything, but we only see like 5% of their lives, so who knows what's going on with the 95%?
That's true, but their happiness definitely appears genuine. There are also a lot of protective factors like family there...
@@psychologyofrock yeah. I’m a little concerned about how things will change when, not if, one of the girls gets into a relationship.
@@nichep1well, then they will have more to write about..a rock version of Taylor Swift?
Nena nails it again as does The Warning. Serious musicians, serious lyricists, serious performers. They are so gifted in all areas and create incredible works of prescient musical art. Always assume there is a depth beyond your first impression of their music. They are as strong an example of the current strength of Rock that you will find. Join the Army, you will be glad you did.
Indeed, Ken! And thanks! 😊🤘🏻⚡️
I'm always impressed with how they can write such metaphorically deep lyrics while appearing playful... and they're writing in a second language! It's a real trick as a songwriter to point at a subject and imply without defining it in black and white... I totally agree with your interpretation of the song... Pau's cute little dance says it all!
Lol! She is on another level, that one!
😊🤘🏻⚡️
@@psychologyofrock that little dance Pau did with the hearts was a salute to anime... some anime characters do little dances like that with the peace sign, hand hearts, and leg kicks... Pau and Ale both like anime... not sure about Dany but i know she really likes Pink Floyd's _Pulse_ concert and absolutely watches _The Sound of Music_ every year 😹

Dany and I have a lot in common 😂⚡️🤘🏻
Thank you for this. I have yet to publish my own analysis of this song… and while i focus on musical analysis, my reason for delay is due to the emotional impact the lyrics of this song have had on me. Every time I hear it it hits me harder than before, because while I’m in my fifties I find that the meanings you have described so clearly also describe the fear of regret of not having lived my life as effectively as i should have, and making choices that may not have given me the fulfillment and results that might have been. So I need to sit down and redo my analysis, and will likely try to relate, at least a bit, the ways this impacts me, personally, and how I believe this song should not be dismissed as a fun and slightly suggestive song.
Anyway… I’m long winded as always lol… thank you for this excellent analysis!
I'm so glad you enjoyed it, Don! I look forward to your musical analysis! :)
They recently released a short video on their official channel about the part in the video where Dany squashes the fly and it suggested that the fly symbolizes the haters/critics, so I think you're right about that. I definitely think the lyrics to this song and More are a lot deeper than they seem to be the first couple times you listen to them. I was very impressed by the use of the word debase as well but after using bemuse and rapacity in previous songs, I shouldn't have been too surprised lol. I think another possible interpretation could be longing to not take life for granted but not knowing how to move forward, and therefore living life recklessly until it makes you sick.
It seems crazy that this brilliant band could have haters, but I'm glad their vision came to life for the song/video! Like you, I am continuously impressed by their precise and intentional word choices that are often uncommon. :) I like your thoughts on the song!
Brilliant analysis. I think that's very much a sensible interpretation. That being said, I probably told people in a hundred different places that I thought they were overthinking it during the last few weeks. People that do reactions and analysis on UA-cam have a certain tendency to indiscriminately take lines of songs out of context, skip certain lines and immediately start off down a blind alley. They try to interpret the song in one minute if they can. However It takes more than that to come up with an intelligent understanding of most songs, certainly that applies even more to the lyrics found in songs by The Warning. It brings me back to the punk days of the late 70s/Early 80s. Thinking of the book Please Kill Me by Legs McNeil (and most books that chronicled that era.). There was plenty of nihilism around back then too, doesn't just apply to Gen Z.
I'm so glad you enjoyed, and I could never boil a Warning song down to one minute - too much good stuff in there! :) And I agree than Nihilism is in no way limited to Gen Z...
Yesterday, the band's official X account "tweeted" (is it still called a tweet?), "Listen to S!CK" if you want to get rid of the haters." and there is a short clip of them filming the part where Dany smashes the fly. So, I'm sure it's safe to say that the fly symbolized haters and their incessant annoying buzzing.
I agree! Although it is completely baffling how this band could have any haters 🤷🏻♀️
@@psychologyofrock Fragile egos of some people, probably. For some, it’s easier to tear down everyone else, than to acknowledge talent and dedication in others.
@@psychologyofrockThere are trolls who support a specific band who make remarks on reactor channels.
that's terrible! (and completely futile, lol)
There is a fear of missing out on life and all it has to offer. I think DPA have sacrificed a lot of their young lives to their art. It would really mess a lot of kids up. I think its a strong family that has kept them safe and grounded but they all should be in college right now just figuring out what to do with their lives. Its perfectly expressed in S!CK and MORE. I think its all about wanting life in any way it comes, the good and the bad. It reminds me of Sylvia Plath who wrote in her journal at 20 years old about being afraid to commit to a single path in life knowing that she would then miss out on all other paths.
Great thoughts. I agree that having family and support around them are a huge protective factor. I also like that they take time to see the cities and get out when they are touring - living in busses and hotels without doing that could get old really quick. It seems like they take their mental and physical health very seriously, which will help them to have long careers and hopefully a little bit of balance in their life! Thanks for sharing :)
Oh, there is an opportunity cost factor to everything we do. There is even one when we choose to do nothing. As the late Professor wrote, "If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice!"
@psychologyofrock yes I agree. Rudy their manager has said before that they have a rule that when they are eating, no one on the team is allowed to talk business. I think that's a great policy for anyone!

The girls know very well how to show their point of view regarding this generation, their generation. I feel every The Warning song is a deep social commentary disguised as a fun rock song. As I say, Pau doesn’t write fluff.
I am seeing a theme developing with the 3 new songs we’ve heard so far. MORE, S!CK and the unreleased HYCAD. Once that comes out I’d love to get your take on the possible interrelated narrative (or that I’m just imagining it 😮)

@@psychologyofrock I'm good waiting for the snow to go away.
believe it or not, *S!ck* was written back in Oct 2022 when *More* was written... some of us also believe their other (3rd) known new song, *HYCAD* (Hell You Call A Dream), may have also been written at that same time... DPA/TW have mentioned having at least three new songs ready since around that time period and these three fit the pattern...
random thoughts about the video:
i keep hearing Dany's guitar "fly" effect everywhere! buuzzz buuzzz... buuzzz buuzzz... 😹
who else noticed the splatted fly guts spelled "SICK"? 😜
who saw where the fly came from? 🤔
this absolutely takes me back to the early MTV days when they really played music videos and lived up to their name! 👍
i absolutely do want some official DPA/TW t-shirts and stuff with some still frames of the fly from the OMV! especially the splat... maybe have that on the back with a small frame of only the fly in the front maybe where a name tag might be placed... like a life size horsefly size, maybe...
with those random thoughts out of the way, what is *S!ck* about? what is it saying?
the current buzz seems to be that "violence" is a metaphor for "something exciting" and is used because it rhymes with "silence"... "silence" being a metaphor for "boredom" or "same old same old" type thing... "sick" is being used in today's positive form like how "cool", "slaps", and similar words have been ""twisted"" to mean something other than their normal meaning... the producer, Anton, was going around saying "that's sick!" about things he liked... the girls heard this so much, they said they could write a song with it... here we are singing along about wanting some excitement in our lives to remove the boredom and drudge of an every day existence 😜😹
basically, they are saying don't sit and rot away your life... take it by the horns and live it... kiss it, lick it, make it your own... even with any possible regrets... anything else is boring and death/rot... some are saying the fly represents the rot... others are saying the fly represents the haters... hummm 🤔
i kind of think their original song *Narcisista* speaks similarly... maybe...
BTW: this video was done completely in-house... Iban/Ivan (aka "Skinny Camera Boy") directed it... Dany has said it was something like "guerrilla video making at its best"... it was shot with iPhones! no fancy cameras or post-processing, either... low budget, solid impact!

Indeed! Great thoughts! I appreciate you sharing :)
Fun Facts in the video. Where Dany gets hit by lightning and is "skeletonized", behind her are two tombstones at the 1:24 time stamp. The epitaph on the left is "RIP la Mosca (the fly) 0:00 - 2:59" referring to how long the fly lives in the video. The epitaph on the right tombstone: "RIP "YO" 1998 - 2121" I don't know what that is referencing. That scene flashes by so fast. You have to freeze frame it exactly at that time.
They recorded the video in 10 days prior to going on their European tour in 2023. So, they sat on this video almost a year.
Dany gets thumped by Ale, falls for 3 measures, screams "Ahhhh" before getting blown up, punched by Pau, and struck by lightening and turned into a skeleton. She really took a beating from her younger sisters! 😂
They do not ride motorcycles in real life. They never even learned to ride bicycles as children or played sports that might injure their hands.
Yo is "me" in spanish 1998-2121 is 123 years (who beat the record of the older person in the world) it's just my point of view . with the ladies you can always make your own interpretation

This is an exceptional analysis, Nena. Great video!
So very glad you enjoyed, James! 😊⚡️🤘🏻
In the livestream for the video premiere, the girls said that the idea for the song was born from their co-writer and producer, Anton Delost, constantly using the word to describe the musical ideas they were coming up with back in 2022 writing sessions, which is when the song "MORE" was also written. So, the song name and subject idea didn't come from a crew member.
Thank you for the clarification!
@@psychologyofrock, you're welcome, ma'am!
Fantastic analysis! I admit it took me several listens to come even close to understanding the lyrics, but I'll just call that one of my many boomer defects. I saw the fly as a metaphor for any annoyance or outside distraction from her nihilistic existence, but I'm definitely going back for another listen armed with your analysis!
What an interesting thought for the metaphor - I hadn't thought of that! Thanks for sharing!
This goes to show how as previous masters of various art forms use a single often mundane object, frase or symbol and converted them into in this case a complete portrait of societal experience not just represented by a specific generation but the danger of disconnection, deception, under representation and utterly chaos.
Greetings from México Nena, YOU ROCK!!! ❤️🇲🇽

Great job as always, Nena. I also think the fly has to do with the rotting. As far as the song itself, I also had similar thoughts but not necessarily that of Gen Z. I was thinking of a person with so much stagnation in their life they were willing to do anything to feel something. Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks so much, Brian! I don’t think it has to be constrained to Gen Z but I think it may represent their perspective because of The Warning’s age 😊 but I do think it could apply to anyone! So many people are feeling this way right now! ⚡️

Again TW is warning us (pun intended) on mental health issues that cannot be taken lightly and that professional help is needed in order to achieve well being, but not just to Gen Z but to everyone. Well said Nena, as always right on the spot and thank you for this!
So glad you enjoyed. They continue to amaze me! :)
Well Nena, you've done it again. I never fail to be impressed with your analysis. I've been a huge fan of The Warning since I discovered them several years ago. I've also seen them in concert. I'm continually impressed with their carefully sculpted lyrics. My thoughts about "Sick" roughly parallel yours. They mask genuinely harrowing lyrics with a bouncy beat and fun visuals. I'm 69 y.o., so I'm of a completely different generation from our favorite Mexican sisters. I pray the younger generations find something to lend meaning to their lives.
Hey David! So glad you enjoyed! I am Gen X and also grew up very differently, but being in the field I am in, I am very sympathetic to the unique challenges that Gen Z are facing. I think The Warning did a brilliant job voicing these concerns in an artistic and entertaining way! Thank you so much for watching! :)
"We live we ride we fly we die That's How We Roll" Metal Mulisha Lyric
Nena, how is the album review of Queen Of The Murder Scene coming along❤😉
It's all ready to go in my head, I just need to film it :)
This was my interpretation all along, but seems like some reactors don’t get it. Some guy (reactor) even said that the girls were having a rebel attitude because they were young. He said “they might be thinking about drinking or something!, they are just being arrogant and cocky”.
I explained to this reactor that the girls are just playing a role of 3 people loving and hating their mundane lives. Representing the new generations focused on the superficiality of social media.
The song "SICK!" appears to convey a sense of inner turmoil, frustration, and a desire for intense experiences to feel alive. The lyrics depict someone who feels trapped in their own existence, seeking ways to escape the monotony and emptiness they perceive in life. They express a longing for sensation, even if it means embracing negativity or destructive behavior. The repeated emphasis on feeling "SICK!" suggests a craving for anything that can evoke strong emotions, even if those emotions are unpleasant. Overall, the song seems to explore themes of existential angst, self-destruction, and the search for meaning in a seemingly mundane existence.
For me, the fly represents how annoying all these people that are creating or consuming content full of stupidity and violence truly are. That’s why they kill the fly.
Also Pau dancing in a cute way when they are singing “Give me Violence, kill the silence” could represent how these people enjoy all this nonsensical violent and superficial content. Even though is negative and “sickening”.
The message of this song is to live your life to the fullest, with a purpose!, away from superficiality of social media, TV and so on. Otherwise you will be fed up (sick) of it.
Great commentary! I agree! Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
I written on several commentaries of this video that it is a dark song. Nena grasps this very well.
Thanks so much! Yes, it is a dark song. Somehow they found a way to make it still enjoyable and fun. Brilliant!
Excellent analysis Nena! I think they've been exploring this difficult topic ever since they started recording - just look at the lyrics for XXI Century Blood, Money, Kool Aid Kids, Error, etc...
Completely agree! They keep coming back to this theme, with good reason! Glad you enjoyed the analysis! :)
LOL. Your analysis is hilarious. Those people who said it wasn't a. deep song are talking within the context of The Warning's other songs. And they are right. This song was written by co writers with the Warning. And you can tell. It's slick and polished but doesn't compare to the other Warnings songs which have more lyrical texture.
I respectfully disagree. While the collab songs are definitely taking the writing style in another direction, I still think SICK is a very deep song with words that match the music style. I think we need to give these ladies the benefit of the doubt that the styling was intentional. I personally don't think it any less thought provoking - I think it takes writing maturity to create lyrics that align with the overall vision for the song. I think it has great lyrical texture that fits with the sound of the song. Just my personal view.
So...the fly...also fits with the buzzy sound Dany coaxes from her guitar.
Very true! ⚡️
There was another youtuber that dismissed the lyrics as being superficially edgy. I stopped watching his video about halfway through because it was clear he didn’t get it. These ladies write lyrics that are out of the box, and it requires out of the box thinking to truly grasp the deeper meaning behind them.
Definitely not superficially edgy. Their words are always intentional, and I agree they had a specific message here!
I love this song and believe like many others that they cant write a bad song. I think that the songwriting for this was a collaboration or at least written at the time of the recording of More which was a collaboration. I think it was the producer who kept using the term sick. I remember us Gen Xers using that term when we were young. I can see the double entendre in the use of this word in the song. I also feel the sense of wasting time and rotting in place by looking back and seeing all the time I've squandered. Another song by them that hits home in a way. I enjoy your insightful videos and love the fact that you're a big Rush fan and and a big fan of The Warning. MTV should be playing all of their official videos going back to XXI Century Blood, The Pretender cover, and all of the Error videos. SOON!!!!!
I agree! They can't write a bad song! ...and I actually think Rush and The Warning have a lot in common :)
@@psychologyofrock I got that vibe when I watched the TedX talks performances. when they talked about their creation of music was from the heart and not what someone else wanted them to do. Can you believe I ignored The Pretender cover for a couple of months in my YT recommendations until I saw the original Enter Sandman video again and was like wait that's them? I had seen the Enter Sandman video when it was first out but had forgotten about it for years. Lucky to see them twice live already. Many more to catch up with how many times I saw Rush.
Excellent analysis as always! The Warning always have something to say in their lyrics, which is something that helps to set them apart from a lot of other bands.
Thank you so much, Robert! And I agree completely that their lyrics set them apart! 😊🤘🏻⚡️
My thoughts on the pink and hearts were that some people might superficially think the song is dark and negative. They give it visual hearts and pink to lighten the experience of what some people may consider dark lyrics. But its not really dark, thanks for your analysis.

Pure existentialism answering the nihilism! 🖤 Loving it!
So many thought provoking themes in this song/video! 😊🤘🏻⚡️
The song title came from Anton Delost, the producer for the up coming album. They were in a writing and recording session with him and Nico Rubio at his LA studio in 2022 and he kept saying "sick" for everything. And the girls eventually said, "We can make a song out of that." (I'm glad he used "sick" and not "suck" face-fuchsia-tongue-out.) They recorded "Sick", "More", and "Hell You Call A Dream" at that time as well.
This song, "More" and "Hell You Call A Dream" were written in collaboration with Anton Delost (his bio is impressive) and Nico Rubio.
The video for "Sick" was recorded in 10 days, just before they went on their European tour in 2023. They have yet to release "Hell You Call A Dream" as a single.
The repetition of the line "Till it makes me feel" three times is to emphasize the importance phrase. The song definitely has deep meaning with a mix of metaphors and literalness, like the song "Choke." For instance "Bleeding just to feel alive" isn't referring to self-harm any more than "Choke me till I drown" isn't about suicide or wanting to die.
Though, the mainstream radio stations may have issues with these lyrics? They may be misinterpreted?
Possibly, I think many people believe it is more literal, but I agree with you that it isn't :)
I love these videos your doing, have you considered doing one for The Pretty Reckless- Only Love Can Save Me Now? It has very deep lyrics and video both but often just gets wrote off as a great rock song. It's SO much more though.

Hey Nena, I'm going to add a comment that will make this even more interesting, but...
Before I did not know what Nihilism was, I had come across the word several times, but since it was not necessary to know it to understand the topic referred to, I did not bother to understand it until now that you mentioned it!
IF, befora I agreed with your analysis, knowing what Nihilism is makes it more complete for Me.
Now, in Mexico we have a phrase that says; "A veces es Mejor pedir perdon que pedir permiso."
Translation; "Sometimes it is better to ask for forgiveness then to ask for permission"
If you add that to the lyrics of the song, remember that the girls are Mexican, then the lyrics take on another "dimension"!
i've heard that same phrase here in America since i was a child some 60+ years back... it is one to remember 😉
Love that expression! We have it here, but it is not as common :)
Sick has been around forever as descriptive term
I really like your impressions of the song.Very unique song, love it. I had to listen a few times to figure out what the lyrics .Sort of punk.
Yes, I agree it has a punk feel!
Wow, your review made me realize how "punk" this song is. And you are right the video is brilliant as well.
It really is! Very well crafted all around! :)
I am getting concerned that analysis of the lyrics of these women is continually steered away for one of the most obvious topics that three young fierce young women are likely to have in their minds. They are not, repeat, NOT cute little ( insanely talented) little girls that everybody seems to be trying to keep them in their antiageing specimen jars. While I agree with your analysis, Pau ( particularly Pau) has the Shakespearian ability to comfortably place a number of meanings in her lyric. There is another much more obvious ( and possibly Freudian) take on the meaning of this song. Like Amour. My worry is that they are trapped in a "kiddie " bubble from which they realize they can't easily escape. To be fair though, Pua did say her biggest fear was growing up and not being young...
Interesting, was that from an interview or an online clip?
@@psychologyofrock I assume you refer t the "not growing up comment". It was amongst a whole lot of clips . Must have been relatively recent as Pau was definitely an adult. I only saw it in the last few days, but I honestly have no idea how recent or not that particular clip was. Off the top of my head I think the comment was " What's my greatest fear? I think growing up and not being young," Memory being what memory is , I can't vouch for the the exact words but that's the jist I got.
Motivated me to go riding Thanks
😊🤘🏻
I largely agree with your analysis. It did occur to me that the "violence" may fill the void of meaning of life via the Nihilism theme. Violence could mean violence portrayed in various media--news, films, and cop shows. Perhaps the "Silence" of one's own thoughts are too troubling and focusing on violence instead is possibly cathartic. Note that the "Violence" lyric is sung softly compared to shouted "Silence" Doing so, creates an emphatic/ironic word play if you will.
Really great thoughts here! Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely EPIC song and video!!

@@psychologyofrock I haven't liked any of these new songs, but each for different reasons. With HYCAD, its the vocal arrangement. I prefer Dany's voice in her lower register. I do appreciate Ale's funky bass line, but that isn't enough to carry the song to the heights of their previous work. It is cool that most fans like it. I am not going to rain on people's parade.
I've noticed some people think songs such as Disciple and S!CK mean go burn tires in the street, never mind their songs have a recurring theme warning about what you sign up for.
Another theme with TW: no drinking, no tats other than Pau's few small ones, one or both parents or Rudy going with them everywhere, no foul language, not much skin, all of them at times wear jewelry with small crucifixes, never an unkind word about anyone or anything, I could go on, but hmm interesting.
Yes, I feel that they are a positive force in this world!
I would love for you to analyze the error lyrics, it's one of my favorite songs from The warning :)
Would love to! I adore that song!
I have struggled with understand what the ladies were trying to convey with S!ck and More. I’m hopeful they are not moving away from the thought provoking lyrics that brought me to them. As a Rush fan, I insist on good lyrics to go with good music.
I found the lyrics to this song to be surprisingly deep! It’s disguised as fun rock, but I think it’s profound social commentary 😊 by the way, I’m a huge Rush fan as well! 🤘🏻
What's not thought provoking about the lyrics?
They express the desire to escape an ongoing mundane existence and the need to feel good/great and an overwhelming sense of exhilaration ("S!CK") which, for some, often comes with being exposed to or indulging in on-the-edge, risky, potentially-dangerous and life-threatening circumstances and/or behavior.
It's pretty much the same concept expressed in Motley Crue's "Kickstart My Heart".
Interesting parallel - I need to read the lyrics of Kickstart...
@@gregoryvlchek269 I posted before I watched the piece (obviously). With what I have heard from The Warning up to this point, it has been all thought and no filler (except Intro 404). It's my hope that they never change that aspect of their art, even if they choose to explore more musically.

Really enjoyed the analysis, found it very helpful. I wonder if the fans who think the lyrics are not very deep or meaningful (compared to other The Warning songs) fall within an age range? Maybe the song hits younger fans differently than others.
Interesting question! And I’m so glad you enjoyed! 😊⚡️🤘🏻
What if any, meaning is there to the fly that after it's smashed by Dany, it's bloody guts literally spell out the word Sick? 🤘🏽
I think swatting the fly is an empowering moment, showing they are resolving a problem - it could be negative people/critics, a life that feels meaningless, etc. I think it shows that the recognize the issue and they are taking control. :) The guts, to me, show that the problem was indeed toxic, but now they can walk away from it and leave the "sickness" behind.
they used "debase" also in other song, can't remember which one
:)
it's PSYCHOTIC
♥♥♥
Glad you enjoyed!
I fully agree with your analysis. The only thing I'd add is that those feelings probably also affect gen Y, at least it's the case for me (at age 35 now) and I can really relate to the lyrics.
It's an amazing song like all songs the girls have done. The one thing that bothers me with the studio version is that the audio is a bit too compressed, which makes it less pleasant to listen to. I hope this won't be the case for the rest of the album.
I agree this song has a different audio feel. My guess is that it was the specific vision for the song, but we will know soon when we hear more new songs :)
@logyofrock I agree, this could be the case. Exactly, we'll discover it soon.
I can't wait for new songs to be released, especially HYCAD which seems to be very interesting lyrically too. It would probably be a good candidate for a lyrical analisys too.
I would love to analyze it! 😊🤘🏻
@@psychologyofrock That would be amazing 😊🤘🤘
Looks like it’s coming out Friday!
👍🏻🤘🏼✌🏼🫵🏼 new 🤔👏🏼🫰🏼💁🏻♀️cool?
:)
Kinda sad that the only way this person can "feel alive" is by getting involved in negative situations. There is so much pain and problems in the world, why doesn't she get involved in positive activities. That could include political actions, community gardens, senior care, environmental groups, etc. Why decide to go all nihilistic and create pain, drama, and suffering just for kicks. Seems kinda stupid to me. But then there wouldn't be a "cool" song would there.
I don't think the song is autobiographical, but I agree there are many positive things we can do to combat Nihilism. I think, unfortunately, many don't know how much these types of activities can improve our life/outlook, so they don't actively search for them. Many people just live on their phones. Hopefully this will change as we see more and more the outcome of this....
😊
Hmmm. Befuddling. Satire collaboration surrounding a core theme of high anxiety, extreme phobia and ensuing irrational behavior?
Oops
Should’ve reread the lyrics before sending.
As usual the combination of visuals and instrumentals and lyrics is a bit overwhelming for this mind. Haha 😊
:)
@@psychologyofrock:)😊
Their next release is “hell you call a dream”. Perhaps it’s another perspective on nihilism
Hello, I've seen your reaction videos, and I find them interesting and really enjoyable. However, I want to share something that I think is important to highlight. You should consider that even though their song lyrics are in English, they ultimately reflect their perspective as Mexican women and, therefore, how they see the world. Here in Mexico, it makes more sense, and I can assure you that the lyrics, while profound, aim to reflect how young people live their lives in Mexico. No one would take the lyrics literally, even though they are written in English, as an endorsement of self-harm. Instead, it's a way of expressing how much she loves life with its ups and downs and hopes for the same from others. She is asking others to never let her fall into monotony... I recommend you watch a very short video, approximately 1 minute long, where Guillermo del Toro answers a question and responds more eloquently to what I'm trying to convey (I don't ask you to react to it). I hope this helps with your future analyses. Thank you for supporting my compatriots! I wish you much success with your channel!
