- THE BIGGEST BBQ PLATTER CHALLENGE IN EAST TEXAS! Today we tackle a giant TEXAS bbq challenge featuring smoked meats like Texas brisket, pulled pork, sausage, pork ribs, turkey, beef ribs and many other famous texas barbeque favorites! This is the "Feast" bbq platter at JW's, a restaurant that is so popular they sell out daily in Jacksonville TX (the Tyler Texas area). This is some of the most famous bbq in east texas and supposed to be some of the best. We had 60 minutes to eat this giant food challenge in order to get the $160 meal for free and a sweet t-shirt. This is one of the craziest food challenges i have ever tried, and definitely a memorable one! Can we beat the biggest food challenge in ETX? or will this impossible food challenge beat us? and is this the best bbq in texas? or possibly the best brisket in texas? Tune in for this rib challenge, bbq challenge, and texas food challenge! Jacksonville is also the tomato capital of the world and has a famous tomato festival every year! Very cool place, and very nice people.

I'm a chef who loves to see people enjoy my food .. however I have only a few teeth " hard to talk about" but I wanted you to know that as someone with a complex on eating in public I have started enjoying my meal along with you your commentary and descriptions are relatable and for that thank you very much .. Thank you for checking out the dives in some of the smaller towns! Most restaurants in Jacksonville struggle to keep business due to a high amount of poverty. It's turned around the last few years with coffee shops and restaurants like JW's and Roma's Italian. JW's has better bbq than most places in the big cities! Best brisket I've ever had.

Well spoken Joel. So many don't realize that the purpose of salt ( outside of preservation of any food ) is to to amplify the flavor that already exists in the food. If the flavor is already 5 star grade, the salt is just going to make it that much better.
You're so right! I treated myself to a rare cheeseburger the other day (rare that I eat one, not cooked rare). The first bite was so disappointing! Then I realized it was cooked without a grain of salt! Fixed that problem fast.
People, the amount of salt required to enhance flavor will not cause health issues!

At this point, we can weight the food and ascertain whether Joel can do it or not. Anything below 12lbs, he will easily defeat. These restaurant challenges should strictly go by weight of food. That's ALL that matters...in the competitive UA-cam eater space.

Apple ribs are easy. Baste with apple cider vinegar and apple cider, smoke with apple wood. At the end steam with apple juice for 20-30 minutes.

Born in Colorado 43 years old when I was a year old move to Odessa. Midland sophomore year of high school move back to Colorado, lived in Tennessee for a while. But Texas definitely has the best barbecue ever when it comes to beef. But I do realize that Texas is starting to take over the pork. So I'm mentioned Tennessee. I actually cater Smoked meats through my own business
