if you come by Sydney next time, next to Chinatown is Thaitown and up few blocks is Koreantown and across to Regent Place is Japanese hub.... Also swing by Burwood for more Chinese street foods, Ashfield for dumplings, Strathfield for Korean and bit further away Cabramatta for Vietnamese.... all these suburbs are right at the train stations
It’s so crazy, because I’ve been watching your videos for such a long time and now you’re in Sydney Australia, where I’m from. I hope you’re having a great time here buddy !
Mike, you missed the opportunity -- put some of the fish IN the noodles! Let the flavor of the soup meld with the fish. Maybe that would make the fish more palatable.
fish into hot noodle broth would just make the fish turn into mush. would have been better to put some of the fish into the pancakes with a bit of lemon.
Being a regular Costco person here in Australia, have tried each of these in Video, I would say your comment/recommendation are really reliable. I wish you could try few more things which have good quality yet with reasonable price!!!
Next time you go to Sydney you should check out the suburb of Eastwood in the north of Sydney. The suburb is divided by the train line. Korean on one side, Chinese on the other.
What is real, traditional Aussie food like? I reckon a lot of people in Europe, North America and elsewhere really want to know. Greetings from Sweden!
Australia is such a mixed bag of cultures, there is no real traditional food unless you're talking about "bush tucker" , we steal everyone else's ideas and make them better with the awesome quality of our produce
I agree, we really are such a lucky country to have such a diverse rage of different cultures foods readily available, plus amazing fresh produce, and it’s amazing to see that our indigenous foods are becoming not only more popular but more readily available…
Depends if your going out or cooking at home lol we have a variety of things.. our chicken parmas are usually good... we cook delicious roasts and amazing pavlovas lots of delicious things
This is like asking what British food is. Native Australian food is as dead as its native OG population. You're better off asking what dishes Aussies made better.
practically just shepherds pie, $4 meat pies and chicken parmas. if we want good food we pretty much go for asian food, italian, greek or middle eastern, of which the quality is high, quantity is high and price is high :D
Someone made a joking comment about him doing a fucking costco video in straya when they were mad about him not visiting local places and the madman actually did it lmaoooo
Love your channel!! However, we would love your reviews of the local Sydney foods at COSTCO! What are the options of their meals/snacks/ice creams/prepared foods/bakery items etc etc
Hi Mike welcome to Sydney my hometown 😊 Hope you get to check out Sydney's annual vivid festival where there are food trucks and plenty to eat too 😋😋 Love your vlogs!
Super stoked that the microwavable Luv-A-Duck duck breasts got such a great rap. My family loves them, so easy to prep, so full of flavour, and perfect for adding to fried rice and tons of other stuff. We stockpile them when they go on sale in the supermarkets (they have a decently long shelf-life)
Great video please come back, its nice to be aware of places you enjoy to eat here so for a special lunch or dinner (or at Costco) I know what to buy. 😊
Mike when are you gonna try Australia’s own fast food chain “Red Rooster” that no other country has… I swear every international UA-camr that visits here never does…
Cotsco food court pizza is like crack to me. I couldn't get enough of it and makes me craving for it every time. If it's not cause I live 50mins from away from it, I prob would eat only it everyday
People in the comments: "Mikey only shows off expensive restaurants we couldnt even dream of eating at!" Also people in the comments: "Lol Mikey only eatin' at Costco and Mcdonalds now, he's broke!

Ha. So funny.
So much variety in different countries wow
It’s so crazy, because I’ve been watching your videos for such a long time and now you’re in Sydney Australia, where I’m from. I hope you’re having a great time here buddy !

@@277calaisOur cars are so expensive we keep them for decades 😅

I thought he was gonna pour some of the spicy broth over the fish after they were missing the spice. 😂
1:48 “oo takoyaki” *gives up grabbing takoyaki*

You have an air fryer there so why didn't you put the Peking Duck in that?? You would have had crispy skin!
The clean up after bro cbf
@@ashuncateaterReally ? My teflon basket cleans up with a wipe.
I am not getting over a guest putting fishy stuff and duck in my air fryer and microwave...
@@jbjacobs9514 I'll put a frozen cod in your air fryer if you give me the chance.
Hope you are having a great time in Australia! I love the duck pancake pack, I crisp up the skin on the fry pan, it’s delicious 😊 Nicole/Sydney

9:19 You can feel the "I should have taken 2 boxes"🤣
“Serving Suggestion” = you can make it look like this if you want to
Talking about Costco when there is a S15 parked there during the intro.
not going to lie, as soon as i saw that, i stopped listening to mikey for a bit
Story checks out...
That s15 WOW
I take it that it's the silver car parked on the far left?
They're everywhere here in Sydney, they're not really that rare here

Mike, your excitement at Costco is fun :)
mike talking about the duck pancakes. me just screaming "i used to work there!!"
You could chop up the catfish and put it into the noodle soup.
Someone made a joking comment about him doing a fucking costco video in straya when they were mad about him not visiting local places and the madman actually did it lmaoooo
Costco and BK vs McDonalds are guaranteed videos wherever this fucking guy goes

Welcome to Sydney Mikey! 😊
I used to work at Luv-a-duck, the process they do to make it so good is amazing, the factory is in a small town call Nhill in Victoria
Miriam Margolyes went there in one of her documentaries she does driving across Australia in a camper van.

Im so glad to see that s15 getting so much love, as soon as I saw it, I came down to the comments lol
That S15 tho! 🔥
Hi Mikey, did u fry the fish with paper towel or with the packaging?
That s15😍😍
This is just his signature content if you want to see unique and traditional what's best ever food review show
That S15 in the beginning of the intro thooo 🔥🔥🔥🔥
That Aquaman shot was hilarious

Whuuuut? I've only been going to Woolies and Coles whenever I'm in Sydney. I'm so jealous! 😂
So you could say Mike got "catfished" by the catfish 😄
Mike is the only one who says “Let’s go home and make dinner!” Right after eating hefty lunch.
did not have mike coming for Aquaman 2 like that on my 2024 bingo card but saying that I do agree buddy
Watching this make my hunger meter goes down by 20%
Great video please come back, its nice to be aware of places you enjoy to eat here so for a special lunch or dinner (or at Costco) I know what to buy. 😊
Get busy living or get busy dying 😂😂❤😂😂❤😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
So… your having a pavalova when?
Everyone just finally understanding that Australia is closer to Asia than Europe and thus a huge part of our cuisine is Asian inspired
Maybe if you put the wagyu puffs in an air fryer they might have been better, crunchy for sure
But didn't he say that the actual meat tasted indistinguishable to ground beef? I don't think crisping up the puffs will change that.
@@johnnyblue07 yes but half of it was the texture being to mushy with no crunch and is what my comment was referring too, sorry if you were confused
I do hope you're enjoying Australia! :)
It’s actually insane how good that Peking duck looked. Especially for only doing it in the microwave??
It sounds like the duck would have been great in the air fryer
OH WHAT?! You were in Sydney? I hope you enjoy the food down here.
Also hope you have a great time in Australia Mike.
I'd love a video on the Top Ten Best Chinatowns from your travels, since you've seen so many!
Bro that pring onions and garlic with chilli on picture is just serving suggestion :D
Went to Costco tonight and I had to get the duck pancakes. Can't wait to eat them.
Welcome to my home, Sydney! I hope you enjoyed your time here and would love to see more videos!!
You're going to need to come back Mike. 1 day in Tasmania isn't enough, there's so many cool food based things there.
The first thing I saw was that silver S15 Spec-R in the background :)
Love your videos! Traveling, culture, delicious food, and I love the music too!! Thanks so much! We really appreciate!!
Go to Eastwood sydney australia theres yummy foods ❤❤❤❤
Visit Burwood Chinatown in Sydney next time. It's basically just a 2-level food court full of stalls.
The spicy noodles looks good… and had to replay and pause to check the name
Love your content Mike. It would be nice seeing some more Australian regional food if possible . Keep up the good work.
I seen this video made me hungry so I boughtthose Peking duck pancakes , I'm trying them tommorow, I hope they are good. ;)
That S15 though 👀

The S15!!! Oh my for the s15
Hey everyone the s15!!!!
What the duck? 🦆
Wow i need to get the peking duck!!
So glad you didn’t end up buying the duck and pineapple dumplings, they’re terrible! My dad described them as bland and mushy cat food dumplings 😂
When/if you come back to Vancouver you HAVE to try LULLYS DOGS!! Unforgettable experience and one heck of a dog.
Woo let’s gooooo
Cotsco food court pizza is like crack to me. I couldn't get enough of it and makes me craving for it every time.
If it's not cause I live 50mins from away from it, I prob would eat only it everyday
You should have put the duck in the air fryer too. That would have resulted in that crispy skin you were looking for.
You should be able to get smaller packs of that peking duck kit from coles or Woolworths, don't have to go into costco for it
Honestly as soon as you see the word “Basa”, you know it belongs in the bin
Wipe the floor mate

Mike you should check out Mochipang in Wolli Creek would love to see your review on them
How can you go all over the world and keep getting frozen food, MCD's, and IKEA? I would do a mom and pop crawl.

FYI 1 Australian buck is about .66 USD or .60 EUR
that lobster must be huge even if lobster is expensive in the US ....I think for USD 330 you could get a bucket of lobster or like 20 lobster rolls
The S15 license plate though
Remember when you were told not to eat the crab Rangoon
I had the korean chicken wings and found them to be dry but they do come with a tasty sauce
