Step One
Sit in your car and put your feet on accelerator all the way down and hold.
Step Two
Put key in ignition but don’t start engine and count for 30 seconds.
Step Three
Take key out from ignition but feet still on accelerator for another 10 seconds. Then, remove feet on accelerator and start the car.
Step Four
Take the car for drive and you will notice the difference.

I have a Canadian version 2018 Audi Q5 Technik which has had a jumpy/slippy engagement since about 20,000Kms. Essentially what felt like a manual transmission where a driver dumps the clutch when starting in first or second gear. It would happen every time when slowing down to a rolling stop, or a complete stop. If I didn’t stop, then hesitate for 2 seconds between braking and accelerating the transmission would lurch.
This procedure reset the S-tronic transmission. Now the transmission eases in smoothly before accelerating. It performs exactly the same as a 2024 with the same S-tronic transmission that I had as a loaner from Audi this morning. The loaner only had 52km on it, so it was as new as it could be.

Thank you, I followed ypur instructions and it seems to solved my issue as sometimes when I was pressing on the accelerator the was a delay in the engine engaging. It was quite a relief! Appreciate your help.

Hi, I have an Audi A4 and the car rev up a bit and chock when the car near complete stop. However, if I pressed the brake hard before the car reach to complete stop, it was ok.

Tcm has gone, (something like engine ecu) , its instaled at the end of gearbox, easy to change, but expensive part. Prnds flashing is main simptom of tcm ecu failure

Unfortunately its the cluch and flywheel in this case i hope u both get it fixed.
Same. When take off i feel something hit inside the vehicle engine or gear box. I replaced both engine and gearbox mount. But problem is same
It doesn't work for me on automatic multitronic CVT gearbox.Tried couple of times. I did Vcds check and it shows Tcu and I've spot output speed sensor showing anomalies....like rpm jumping up and down even when car is stand still on parking or neutral. Just wondering if that's only modul problem or internal transmision issue. Message popping on dashboard and disapearing....
Is this a permanent solution or does it just drive nice for one day?

Hii brother my car is lacking power while in gear it doesn’t go above 3 rpm but in standing it goes full 8 rpm . And is taking long dealy to start of 2…3 sec . I changed the injectors…low fuel pressure sensor…..sparkplugs but still the same no diff . The has no misfire no shaking but its not giving the pickup while running

If you insert and not press and hold then it shouldn’t start the engine!
Our don’t have a key insert just needs the key in the car to start
If you hold the gas it shouldn't start. Only the brake will make it start.

what do you mean by "twitchy"? my 2010 a5, b8 suffers from a slight shudder when coming to a stop....but am thinking there is a problem with the engine

Didn’t work with me and I had my cvt box reconditioned around 3000 miles ago and it’s already back to slipping
Did you check TCU!?? WHAT is your situation now?
Tried to add some shudder fix but the mechanic rounded off the sump plug
Have noticed the left drive shaft is knackered so I’m getting that replaced tomorrow
if you have a twitchy gearbox then it's time for a 2.7K rebuild or over
