- Narcissists often manipulate language to manipulate others. One of the ways they do this is by restricting the use of certain words or phrases.

My father would tell me out of the blue and without precedent; “Don’t call people liars”. Having not accused anyone of such but well within my right to do so, I found this highly insidious.
Hell yeah, you nailed it. Extremely insidious.
My golden sister got very upset when after one of her friends mocked me because I was skinny I told her she saw me skinny because she was fat (which she was and so my sister).
So, fat people could call me skinny instead of thin but I couldn't call her fat and I think that overweight would have been an offense.
They can attack you but you can't fight back.
They are nearly always late.

Forcing others to refer to you using incorrect pronouns when you aren't present, because you don't use someones pronoun when addressing them directly. Manipulation of language at its finest!

@@mc1s238 Incorrect is an opinion and the "preferred pronoun" group wants other people to police your speech when they are not even there since pronouns are use to talk about someone who isn't present.
@@stephenschneekloth1535 not necessarily. If you’re a customer, for instance, and I need my coworker to help you, and you’re a man, I might say “Sue, may you help him X while I go grab Y like he asked for?”
Love that Philip K Dick quote. I've made a video on the way they twist language. It's wild. For me, it was the word love that was twisted.
