Chase wasn't my first pick before the convention, but since he was nominated I have been very impressed by his positions and his performances. His policies are right on point even if I don't love some of his personal takes on a few issues, and I feel like he's a better messenger/speaker for the principles of liberty than Jorgensen and Johnson the last few elections (if Spike Cohen had been the presidential candidate instead of VP in 2020, then I'd maybe put Chase in 2nd).

The best parts for me were when Chase talked about how tax cuts must be accompanied by spending cuts, and his comment about how as long as you are living in peace, it shouldn’t matter if we living differently. The worst parts were … most of what Dr. Laffer had to say. This was just trash. Probably the biggest nonsense is the idea that the idea that the Houthis or any terrorist (and similar) group would be intimidated by “peace through strength”. Peace through strength didn’t stop Hamas, but Israel continuing to expand the settlements, which Trump effectively supported, helped to antagonize them. So I'm not sure what you're talking about by the time Biden's term is up he's going to spend the same amount if not more.
Even if Trump did tell the other nations we would drop barriers if they did, that means he thinks the nation that raises the barriers gets an advantage. Lower barriers, just like lower regulations, is the advantage. We should drop them all BEFORE the other nations do to gain the advantage.
I think not only Trump believes that having barriers up can give you an advantage, but so do the leaders of almost every country in the world. That’s why they have barriers. Probably, over the long term, there is *some* advantage. China has developed its industrial base very quickly with trade barriers up. So have a number of other countries. Economic theory says that trade barriers are bad for the country that keeps them up, but the lesson of history may be more nuanced. The United States has seen manufacturing account for an increasingly small share of employment, and so has Europe. We still have service jobs, because those can’t be shipped overseas, but many of those jobs are less valuable in terms of compensation. European economic growth has stagnated despite sharing a large regional common market. Countries like Spain have had high unemployment for years. All of which is to say, there are clearly factors at play here that theory is not accounting for. In the long term, encouraging manufacturing growth within your own country’s borders may have some positive impact that has been harder to nail down.

Kennedy 2024 is my choice this go around. Take time and listen to his town halls and interviews over the year, he really makes sense for America right now. There are many lies and misinformation spread in the media about him, as usual.
I respect your right to your opinion but I strongly disagree. He contradicts himself on many issues. Watch the full interview with John Stossel to see what I mean.
A major problem for me is Kennedy is just one person. Where does his momentum go after he loses? When you vote for the Libertarian candidate you are putting energy into a well established system that supports liberty and has a certain future. Also Kennedy is a lifelong Democrat, so if he managed to win I'm pretty sure most of the people he's able to put into positions will just be from the establishment. Also, he's a central planner and likes many authoritarian big-gov't ideas.
It isn't much, but it also isn't nothing. If Chase gets 1% the establishment continues to ignore libertarian principles. If he gets 5% the LP can start to pull some real leverage. I only vote to send a small signal that people actually want liberty. I probably wouldn't vote if there was a chance the LP candidate would actually win. Lol
@dustinabc I'm just saying the goofy stunt he planned where he looks cool by getting killed for not voting for Trump or Harris is stupid. I'm fine with him saying that both of them are evil and he'd be a superior candidate but this was a stunt to make him look cool because no one is going to kill him over a vote for either candidate. He's trying to look cool but it's just stolen Valor because this scenario will never happen, and it's R3ta76e6 to die over a vote that changes nothing. He doesn't look cool by bringing that up. He looks like a poser.
People who say your vote doesn't matter are plain and simply wrong. Sure, your vote almost certainly won't be the vote that decides who wins or loses, but in the short term, the larger the plurality, the larger the perceived mandate for the winner. In the long term, you should vote for what you want to see more of in the future. Politics is like any other free market and a voter is like any other consumer - the system will provide candidates designed to appeal to consumers. If enough people vote green, you will see greener candidates next time; if enough people vote libertarian, future candidates will pay more lip service to libertarian ideals. You're a consumer - don't let the producers bully you into believing in some false dichotomy. The only time you waste your vote is when you vote for someone you don't like. That said, the candidate you vote for also tells future candidates what you will tolerate. If a candidate does something unforgiveable, such as refusing to graciously concede when he loses the election, voting for him tells future candidates that it was really no big deal. As such, I likely won't be voting Libertarian this year, particularly since I live in a swing state ... in 2024, I've decided that repudiation is the highest and best use of my vote.
Dang, I really liked your comment until the last few sentences. I wonder what's repudiated you. But ya, I definitely vote even though I don't think the state is legitimate, because it sends a signal to the state and to society that there is some organized level of support for the principles of liberty.
@@kylewatson5133when we know the 2-party system is rigged, I don't know why people can't just suck it up and support the loudest signal for liberty on the ballot. If he managed to get 6+% the suddenly libertarian principles will start having some real leverage in the system. But as it is, too many people unhappy with the system will act like cats being herded.
Laffer at minute 22 talked about when Trump told some world leaders, that he will null US tariffs if they do the same. And he is telling us that this means that Trump is pro-trade. That is a mistake. But we are a global player, and you seem to only be able to look at it American centric. It’s absurd for you to claim America shouldn’t push for FAIR trade. Trump was 100% right. We import a lot. If we increase our tarrifs, it would hurt all the other countries more. He didn’t WANT to increase tariffs. He wanted them to know, that he WOULD do so. You’re CLEARLY not a businessman.
47:16 First time Chase has actually made me angry- I agree with much of his sentiment, but we shouldn't have been telling Israel to worry about "world perspective". We should have been stepping in and saying "Let us do some of the (dirty) work because your people are too emotional about this right now (and frankly, you should be or you wouldn't be human)." If we had offered to help, we could have had a cleaner fight in Gaza and we wouldn't have all of these "Genocide" (rubbish) protests because everyone would know we were coming to stabilize the situation by removing Hamas, not wipe out the people of Gaza. Doing so also would have defanged Netanyahu, as his party thrives on being able to paint Hamas as the bad guys instead of looking around at his own administration. By leaving the situation as it was, we guaranteed Netanyahu more time in office and that more Gazans suffered. There are times to stay out of conflicts, but when your ally is attacked and you make them fight it out on their own when they've been kicked in the civilians, that is not the time to back away and just send weapons.

Will vote Trump a third time.
@Hedgeflexlfz they got 3.3% in the 2016 presidential election.
@@michaelpizzo92😂😂😂😂😂😂😂pathetic
And who is the joke you are voting for?

As a Libertarian of decades I will not throw my vote away. This is not a year for protest votes.
Voting for the duopoly is throwing your vote away.
I don't know when a third party candidate will actually win electorally. It sure isn't 2024. The closest in my lifetime was Ross Perot and even then, I don't remember him winning any electoral thingys. But he sure was fun.
@@deandownsouth Perot was great for his simple explanations. I wonder if RFK stays in all the way. I feel like him dropping and endorsing could pretty much decide the election.
If everybody stopped thinking this way the LP might actually have a shot.
It's never going to be "the right year" or do you think things will be better next election LMFAO the economy and social chaos will be WORSE next time so it's always the right year to start voting for more freedom.
@@LibertyPlusTV you have one candidate that can win that was against the invasion of Iraq, against the affordable care act, against auto bailouts and against mandated vaccination. That list doesn’t hit everything a libertarian wants but can you think of a better list belonging to another viable candidate?
