@@WadeHarrison That’s a shame. Could you expand on that. E.g. was it the specific pod taking on water, or just the build affects the handling (weight of pod)??. Thank you for the boat reviews, great to see & hear the feedback about the build and handling, compared to the general promotional vids.
@@owenhedicker2763 yeah I will do a final thoughts on it but I’m short the pod and execution of the concept was very well done but the weight and the gap between the boat and pod was causing some unacceptable grabs back there that was very difficult to disengage the stern the pod never took on water and looked really cool on the boat just in reality didn’t do enough for me to justify having that back there
@@owenhedicker2763 The pod makes changes the weight balance of the boat and makes it very stern heavy. With the balance point changing it's a lot harder to turn. I personally tried it once and never put it back on afterwards. With 78kg I'm on the lower weight range though. The only reason I see for putting the pod on is paddling waterfalls that you can't boof. If you drop the bow a little on boofs it skips out amazingly and you don't need the extra volume in the back. If you are a bit heavier, go for the puffy stern model!
What do you think about using a gasket or other compressive material on the bottom side of the pod so water sheds better?
I don’t think Waka even offer this anymore
Which Ophion paddle model were you using? What were your thoughts on the paddle?
It’s the Katana all star fiberglass and I will have more coming on it
What's a pod? Like an airbag?
It was supposed to add extra volume to the back of the kayak to make it like a bigger kayak but didn’t seem to work
A very nice tour of the NFFB. I dug it.
Yeah I don't get over there much but its always fun day!
@1:24 I honestly thought that was a playboat, crazy how far creek boat design has come
very interesting creek boat
Because it has an ‘OG’ hull, would you say it paddles like the OG with the pod on? So you can get two boats for one?
That's what I was hoping for but no that's not the case there's issues with that pod installed.

Do the thigh braces make getting out of the boat more difficult than other boats?
Yes it does they are pretty aggressive thigh hooks if someone has think legs its going to be tough one
Pod save the Queen!
