I would love to try a $1000 set up just to know what that is like. I believe you probably start seeing diminishing returns for gaming after about the $300 mark though. Also just had a panic attack on that stress test for a $2000 headset lol

MAN!!! I would love to take those for a test drive on my setup. They do look superb, and if it's anything like the 99's they hopefully have parts available to fix them in the event something breaks.

I'm really excited to try these out. The price is high, but once you have taken a dive into audiophile headphones you get sucked in. Its very hard to say what headphone is better because they all have a different sound and various uses for each of them. Thanks for another awesome vid bro!
You can try them but be careful if you're going to buy them. You never know when the sound is for you. I made this mistake with buying the Sivga SV021 Robin.

Another awesome review. Thank you for putting out this video. If you ever get a chance, check out the new Hifiman Edition XS. Came out about a month ago. I know open back cans are not your favorite but this one is pretty dang great at the $500 price point. The imaging for Warzone and other first person shooters is top notch. Soundstage is great too. The sound doesn't match the Audeze LCD GX which I purchased based on your review of them but I made the switch to the XS because the GX were too heavy for me. But man do I miss them. They sounded so fun. The XS feels much lighter and the imaging is better than the GX in my opinion.

I got a pair of the Drop Hd58x off ebay for $130 and than a mayflower electronics mk1 dac amp for $90 and i fucking love them lol. The clamp was a little tight the first day or two with the headphones but after maybe 12 hours give or take they feel great and they keep getting better.

I come from audiophile realm and just landed on this channel thanks to YT algo. Between empy and Liric I would say Liric is step ahead when it comes to imaging, not to say that empys are bad but Liric is just little better and I believe this is an important criteria for competitive gaming? You will definitely need lot of juice because they scale so do invest in a quality dac and amp if not already. For mobile use I think Chord Mojo 2 is the sweet spot for Liric. I don’t have Empy anymore so haven’t tried it with them but mobile use on open back is really not top of the agenda :)
You should do a comparison between these and audeze penrose x , think it would be a good one. Penrose x is like 4x cheaper

Picked up a Sennheiser HD560 (always on sale - i paid $140) and a Blue Yeti Nano (also picked it up on sale $80) - works great on my PS5. Even ended up picking up a Zen Dac Air for further sound amplification / directional audio enhancement for $100 but that's not necessary. The HD560s for around $150 + desktop mic around $50-100 is the perfect $200-250 set up and much better than any wireless gaming headsets like Razer Kaira Pro / Arctis 7/9/Pro / Penrose

There are open backs that are called semi open and these maze headphone are semi closed
I switched to the Hyper X Cloud II’s from my Audeze Penrose, the comfort just doesn’t cut it for me on my Penrose but man the Cloud does have great sound as well as comfort

Heck no!!! Lol. I love my Penrose but those are pricey enough and they broke before 1yr and where they broke wasn’t covered under warranty so I had to fix myself :) sooooooo no way would I spend any more than the $$$$ I spent on my Audeze Penrose which I love even with their common breaking point on that plastic part above the ear cup. :)

I honestly hope you didnt spend money on those meze.. for comfort, yes not many can beat meze headphones as they are some of the most comfortable ones around. But for sound, they are not worth their asking price. And for gaming, just save your time and get a sennheiser hd800s and a decent amp and you’ll be set.

Priorities, mate. From another perspective instead of a PC it's better to invest in a car. I will always disagree & know car to be a waste of money, no matter what anyone else thinks. Besides, gotta hear it to understand, Meze Audio's other flagship cans are also seductively addicting. Oh, never look into electrostatic headphones or the Sennheiser HE-1, quite justifiably worthy of a heart attack.

Let me answer the giant elephant in the room question since this guy won’t because he’s probably getting paid not to say anything negative about it. No gaming headset is worth 2K, let’s be real now. All the pros about this headset in this video are diluted when you weigh it against it’s mammoth $2,000 price point; the sound is amazing, it looks amazing, the comfort is off the charts, (blah blah blah) once again, it’s $2,000 lol. You can buy a Next Gen Console, a decent gaming television, and an upscale Gaming headset and still not pass the 2K mark to really put it in perspective.
