- I have now officially visited the 3 main regions of the Philippines along with what is considered the 4 largest cities in the country and let me tell you I am glad I got to see this city last. This city has a ton of potential and is already in 3rd gear with development and new projects. Cleaner air, wider roads, less traffic and enough city to make you feel like you don't want to escape to manila I already know many foreigners will flock here in the future! Enjoy!

That's true. Iloilo city is small in terms of population, but it is highly urbanized and one of the top and cleanest cities in P.I.The third safest city in the nation, following Davao and Makati. The province has approximately 2.5 million inhabitants if you include it (City).
yeah it is smaller I guess it is clean and more spread out
Hi Aaron
Great 👍 video on visiting Iloilo. It looks like a very clean city with very "fresh" looking building designs that resemble new buildings somewhere in Europe.
Thanks and keep up the great work.
Yes of course. The look is interesting thanks for tuning in
Iloilo is really a clean and well organized city. Can't wait to go back there. 🩵
yeah it is
Lots of developments in Iloilo. I love it. 😊❤
Yes it will be interesting to see in a few years
I agree I live 6 months in Iloilo in the process of selling my house and moving full-time there hopefully be back September October the latest, but you by far hands-down place to live
Yeah well it is a good place and a lot of people don't go there as much I don't think
Iloilo look amazing and clean.
In terms of the biggest city I think you confuse Iloilo with Davao. The three biggest cittues in the Philippines are Manila Cebu and Davao. Iloilo is a lovely city and the local government did a good job to modernize and make the city walkable
Yeah I do tend to forget about davao
Wow this is Philippine city? Wow amazing very progressive
Yeah pretty nice huh
I think iloilo looks more cleaner and better than cebu city.
yeah it is.. it is smaller though
This is the best video and footage I have seen on IloIlo because it actually gives you the feeling of what it's like to be on the ground walking and driving around in the areas that I would want to live in. Thank you for doing this.
I appreciate that... thanks for tuning in and leaving a comment
oh no! The vloggers have found Iloilo :D
haha
Iloilo looks nice, I haven't visited there yet but to me it looks like a Cebu-type place, or growing to that level. I prefer more provincial/less busy cities like Dumaguete, where I currently live. Although Duma is growing quickly too. But we don't have stoplights (traffic lights) yet so that's one way to measure it, ha!
Capiz and Negros Province. Western Visayas have the highest Human Development Index and Poverty Rate in Visayas and Mindanao region. Best outside Luzon
haha yeah I know what you mean it is nice there though and I think it will develop more in the future
@@Penko-mu2Capiz and Negros Occidental has the highest HDI???
@@Penko-mu2 haahhaha Capiz is one the poorest provinces in teh Philippines along with Antique, Iloilo is poorer than CDO as per PSA, has the same level of GNP of Lapu-Lapu, Mandaue with the same population LORDS over Iloilos economy. another delusion Ilonggoy
It can never be another Cebu it is a mid size city of 400,00 compare to Metro Cebus 3 million city population, second Iloilo is decades behind and is much poorer than Cebu, Iloilo lacks capital and foreign investment, in Visayas all factories are in Cebu, the Philippines Shipbuilding capital, Steel, Cement and manufacturing in Cebu
It is a nice city with low crime rate, strict in public smoking, and cheaper retails prices. Moreover, the FOOD is the Best in the Country. In deed the best city to retire.
Really the best food in the country?
I doubt it can beat Manila in food. It’s cream dela creame here.
@@aaronaroundit's the first and only UNESCO Creative City for Gastronomy in the Philippines
Iloilo is the only province that's very clean and organised compare to the rest of the country in my humble opinion.
Yes it is clean and very nice
I enjoy your videos. Make more of them to make your channel grow! I know, easier said than done. Well keep up the good work! 👍😃
I appreciate it :)
Thank u for coming to iloilo❤🙏
Iloilo is the 20th largest city but looks great ! I look forward to visiting soon .
Yeah you should. I know but it seems to be on the top of everyone's list
My parents comes from iloilo now we are living in Manila. Never been to iloilo your video looks amazing
ah ok nice yeah it's growing rapidly it seems like
Coz of your content im planning to live in iloilo city soon for good
I lived in there for 4 months 400 a month pluse electric and water . But electric was only 25 usd water 8 usd crazy cheep walking distance to every thing

@@aaronaroundyes it is the condo was on 8th floor wind blows right through the place and at night it’s cool no need for ac I’m from Florida heat don’t bother me
A very liveable and sustainable city❤
That is for sure
I just got off the phone with Comcast, Phil Call Center, started talking to the agent and he was in Iloilo ..
Oh wow that's funny there you go ha
Thanks Aaron

Yeah you really should!
@@aaronaround maybe I’ll look you up looking for some land with my wife. I don’t drink either lol been there done that.
Thats good to hear. Hope many will be encourage
yeah I think they will
Looks like a great spot
oh yeah it is nice
I’m impressed with the city, I will check it out
Yeah you definitely should
@@aaronaround great vlog mate
Bacolod City is three times larger than Iloilo City in terms of area. The population of Iloilo City in 2023 is 447,000 based on google, and the population of Iloilo Province exceeds 2 million people. Being the regional and business center of the entire region, Iloilo attracts many people daily from other provinces such as Aklan, Capiz, Antique, and Guimaras who come here to transact in various government regional offices. It is also a major educational center in the entire region, where many people from other provinces primarily come to study.
ah ok yeah thats makes sense that is a hub
😂😂 wag ipilit mahiya kau mga manol😂😂😂
Davao city is 10x larger in land area and 4x the population compare to Iloilo. Davao is a melting pot from all over the country. Strangely enough, 15% of Davao population are from Iloilo, originally, same goes with other southern Mindanao towns and cities. Bacolod, 70% of population are 3rd or 4th generation are from Iloilo too. Migrants from sugar boom 120 years ago. Iloilo city is pretty much 90% Ilonggo in ethnicity.
I love ILOILO. I married a girl who lives near ILOILO in 2022. It has cool malls there too.
nice yeah it is a good city. Just enough to do I think as well
I subscribed to your channel.
thanks for tuning in!
Cebu has a small land area for commercial purposes thats why they're building it in just 1 or 2 kilometers from the shore and stretch it all along the coastline. No way they can make a cheap meticulous urban development unless they resort to reclamation. Unlike in Iloilo where construction is just starting up and a lot of space to accommodate these new developments.
I know there is a lack of space for sure. That is what's more about Iloilo city
@@aaronaround Yes and if developers will spare the farmlands and just use all available idle lands then economically Iloilo will have 2 inexhaustible source of income. Unlike in mining for example which Cebu has.
@@alexonorep5978 interesting
nice video, but too short for me, lol. I'm coming to Iloilo in November to live and will be looking for a 1 bdrm condo after I get there. being 74, I'm looking for a nice peaceful city I can explore and enjoy the beaches as well. I believe there I'll be able to ride a motorcycle or an e-bike.
Oh yeah it should be good for you. it is peaceful and quiet. Thanks for tuning in
Which areas would you recommend to stay a month+? And is there a place with a walking distance to a beach/shops? If not, what to use as a transportation?
Dumaguete is overrated.
Thank you 💚
No worries thanks for checking in
K-Town not k-pop 😅. The place where many restobars are located is called Smallville.
haha yeah
It looks like a mall in California. If only to escape the heat of PH but it looks like a "bubble" to avoid the exoticness of PH.
Yeah it does right. Well it is nice that's for sure
Correction here's the line up for the biggest metropolitan cities
1. Metro Manila
2. Metro Cebu
3. Metro Davao
It is not Manila, Cebu, Iloilo line up
I think Iloilo is the 5th largest metropolitan city right after Metro CDO
yea I know I just mean in terms of popularity seems like the top three tend to be manila Cebu Iloilo
You notice people of iloilo are sweet.
not particularly to be honest
If you were going to stay long term in the Phil’s which city would you live in
hm I think right now it would be Cebu or maybe davao... although I do really like Iloilo
Sir, please visit the Old downtown of Iloilo city ❤❤❤the first Mang inasal in Robinson carpark Iloilo city
oh really that's the first location?
Is the exchange rate different in different cities/provinces?
yeah but it's gererally the same... just depends on how legitimate the exchange is that's the main factor
Looks nice. Gonna see if there are any Ayala subdivisions out there. I might move out of Manila.
There’s a ton of avida which I think is owned by Ayala
Avida Village and Amaia Scapes :))
Goodness, lets hope it doesn't turn into a Duma 2.0.
haha it won't
Pro tip. Every business no matter the name is local locals must own 50% of any and all businesses
I thought they changed that a few years back
@@aaronaround I think k foreigners can own a small to medium size business. I remembered that the previous administration put that into law since Charter Change is still out of reach. How I wish they would amend that constitution for more inviting business climate. I still don't know for sure about the ownership but I specifically remembered that Duterte signed that into law.
You visit concentrated in the business district. It's evolving.
I'm a 2 yr resident in avida.
It's beautiful and well done video but as a single man fear of boredom.
I'm currently living in Manila but I've lived in Cebu City, Dumaguete, and Davao City
Oh wow well you have had the grand tour... yeah well you might get bored there
Hi Aaron ❤
hey thanks for watching
I don’t drink or party either and still have a girlfriend when I was not looking for one. Btw, I’m 67. What about hospitals and clinics?
You know I didn't look too much into that but I did see a couple big hospitals
I like going to Iloilo to eat Thai.
70 pesos haircut is the best
Yeah I haven't gotten one yet I am sure they are good
They robbed you at 57.23pesos. That is more than 1 peso difference from the real exchange.
@@angelsantana3001 no that’s not the exchange they gave me less then
oh everywhere you go is the best , 😂😂😂. Live there 6 monthsc and then give an opinion
yeah of course new discoveries haha
nah its always brown out
really?
Iloilo 500k Plas ang tao....not 200 k
yeah
Iloilo is clean and orderly, especially around Megaworld, but it lacks the energy and nature of Dumaguete and Valencia. To each his own.
What do you mean ENERGY of Dumaguete that Iloilo lacks?

Davao is overrated
@@Penko-mu2get your facts right and do not categorise the local population in an insulting way
I do like it though. safe and clean
Haven't been there in years. Sure it's all inflatedly overpriced.
it's great... great prices still I'm sure
Bacolod more better
some would say
I liked and followed your blog. But now I unsub. If you prefer Ilo-ilo respectfully it's your choice. But why specifically target graphically Dumaguete with a thumbs down vs Ilo-ilo, how about Bohol, CDO, Davao, Bagiuo and others. What nasty experience have you in Dumaguete? Do you need to do that? We are people of Dumaguete and it's quite a slap. Then you put your face in your videos, that's great, mind where you go, then bash the place.
look at the title of the video
The 3 Major or Biggest Cities in the Philippines are Manila, Cebu and Davao these 3cities contributed larger economy and the center for business and trades. iloilo is a nice but not a major city.
Villar, Araneta, Gokongwei, Montinola, and many more had Ilonggo roots even big businesses CEO like SM, Robinsons, Ayala, and many more are Ilonggos too. Real talk
Yes the 3 biggest failure cities of the Philippines in terms of urban planning and population management. These cities are simply gateways not necessarily the biggest contributor in our economy because the Philippines is still an agricultural country. a magnet for cheap labors where people from the countryside are duped by the shrewd businesses and businessmen.😁
@@alexonorep5978 Correction, Metro Manila economy counts 35% of the whole Philippines economy at $140 billions 2023 GDPnominal. and DAVAO CITY economy is the largest among the Cities outside Metro Manila with $12Billions 2023GDP nominal.
