    Fantastic review, as always! 👍👍 I take the EDC33 alongside an Emisar D4K (wear it on a cap) and absolutely love it. Great compact semi-tactical light for short bursts and self defense.

    I buy a good few flashlights a year. This is the most helpful video I have ever seen, and ive watched them all. Thank you. By the way I love my EDC35 and equally love my srt7i.

    After seeing a few of these uhi emitters, I gotta say I love the practicality, but hate the lack of difference in range.. sure the lack of flood wil do wonders for searching, but I wish there was a bigger difference in range between the 2. But I may be missing the point,

    My edc35 have died last week , while I was working the light turned on without any touching and when I had been realised what happend the flashlight cooked itself.

      I also recently bought an SC33 with battery for $40. GREAT flashlight. I am very pleased with it.

      You managed to buy it VERY cheaply. Where did you buy it?

      mate, same here. Same model sofirn too, haha. Apparently the auto lockout can be disabled on it, by clicking 4 times from when its off and locked. The auto lockout thing was something @PiercingTheDarkness mentioned as a downside on his review 9 months ago.

    Just on principle I don't support manufacturers doing built-in batteries, whether it's justified or not.

      I don't suppose you have a phone with a built-in battery do you? 😉

      @@PiercingTheDarkness I don't think that's analogous at all. If I could have a smartphone with the features I need, and also with a replaceable battery, you can bet your ass I would be using it. Trust me, I've looked. Nobody is doing one. I for one will always advocate for not supporting any company who practices anti-consumer tactics.

    I choose the EDC 37 with a replaceable battery and a stable high mode. And if not EC 37, maybe EDC39😂

    what the batteries built in NO way thats not cool come on Nitecore your better then this and lower your prices as well sofirn and wurkkos are killing it because there some great lights for a great price

    • @lukesena
      @lukesena 4 місяці тому +3

      Hey, this is called "EDC" for a reason 😉. It is more intended to be used as a backup or casual light. Nitecore’s got plenty of main duty lights with replaceable batts. Gotta say the runtimes, in my experience, are pretty darn great. If you’re gonna use and abuse the battery everyday, then there’s plenty of other choices out there. Having said that, it’s actually a very good light ✌️.

      @@lukesena LOL Yeah and like said it also cost 6 times more then a sofrin and wurkkos

    • @jackblock7451

      @@lukesenaNitecore has interesting solutions, but unfortunately the technical data are far-fetched. Until people see an uptime chart from independent testers, they will be fooled.

    • @jackblock7451
      @jackblock7451 4 місяці тому +3

      @@lukesenaFor example, two models have been released on the market. The newer one has 1200lm high, and the old one has 900lm. So the newer one seems to be better. Well, the client doesn't know that the high power lasts 5 minutes and goes down. And the old model can maintain 650lm, and the new one 500lm. Thanks to this, the new model has "Operating time in high mode" written in its technical data and someone thinks that it shines longer with a power of 1200lm than the old model in 900lm mode. This is how you manipulate the customer, because the customer does not have and often has no way to obtain knowledge on this subject.

    • @jackblock7451
      @jackblock7451 4 місяці тому

      And there is another scam in flashlight data. There is, let's say, a 200lm mode and a specified time of 8 hours. It shines with a power of 200lm for an hour and then drops to 120lm to provide a longer time in the technical data.
      So basically, relying on the manufacturer's data is falling for false marketing. Artificially inflating data to outperform the competition. Fenix is honest here because it shows the working time chart. Surprisingly, it often happens that the chart is shown to the detriment of your own product.
