Hey, I've got a question. Is this normal, that when the button turns red, the levels (100, 600, 2000) becoming lower/weaker? The battery then is 3.7v, in my opiniom it's enough to still keep higher output. Is this how the boost driver works? When i move this battery to my Astrolux ft02s with FET driver, it illuminates much brighter. While the sofirn becomes weak still with 3.7v. It makes me sad about sp33s

Hi, I can't help noticing that you listed the main highlights of this Imalent HT70 at the beginning of the video. We learn that this flashlight's main emitter is the Cree XHP 50.3 Hi. I'm pretty sure Wurkkos or Sofirn has released floody EDCs with this very LED, but neither company mentions the brand "Cree". Does this mean that Wurkkos and Sofirn uses a Chinese copy of the XHP 50.3 HI or they didn't bother to mention the Cree brand in their product literature? Charles BridgeTec strongly believes that these companies don't use actual, Cree manufactured emitters but clones. I don't see the logic in that, because Sofirn/Wurkkos has used genuine Samsung, Luminus and Nichia emitters in their products. They can also use Getian FC or Osram W1/W2 LEDs if they wanted to, like Convoy does. Sofirn and Wurrkos are highly respected budget brands. There's no reason for them to resort to using Cree copies in the first place. 🤨 I have another question: are protected LiOn batteries necessary for a flashlight? I thought modern LED torches already have low voltage protection and current regulation circuits in the electronics. Some flashlights have direct drive interfaces that pull as much current from the battery as they can, and the brightness also increases with higher continuous discharge rates. Is it possible that a protected 21700 cell limits the amount of discharge current which in turn, causes the measured lumens and range to be much lower than the advertised numbers? 🤔
