    Great video mate! Sometimes I think people need to see that it's not always about catching fish it's about being out and learning!
    Thanks for the shout out buddy💙

    Cracking video full of tips thank you, and yes the hour b4 dusk often produces the goods at Chesil as it has for me at Southbourne twice recently 😁!!

    Another great video Tom, getting excited for plaice season here up north too! Hopefully be much better than last years bleak season. Again thank you for the help last week with my order too, the bagnall bars and coloured leads are brilliant. Thanks again and look forward to the next video!

    Never fished Chesil, looks brilliant. Thanks as always for the tips, it really got me thinking about my approach to venues and conditions. Thanks mostly though for your thoughts, observations, feelings, watching the cricket and all the other things that make me love sea fishing. Reminds me of the scarce times I can get away to fish at the coast, from land locked West Yorkshire. Looking forward to the next instalment.

    Great vlog Tom on the beautiful Chesil , 8 hours fishing you must have banked up a few brownie points with Mrs Boss to be allowed out that long 😀...
    Thank god you spoke about the line diameter my mates never believed me when I changed to Rope when the tide was running 🏃‍♀️ well slight exaggeration with rope lol ,
    Looking forward to the next one Tom , nice to see Wayne catching he seems a good lad , stay safe to all of you ... jules 🎣

    Good video again and lots of tip to learn from. Despite Chesil being the beach of broken dreams, like the sirens of old it keeps calling me back despite the fact it really can be much tougher than my own local fishing marks. Be interesting to see how your approach differs to plaice fishing at southbourne, should be another informative video. Keep up the excellent work and enjoyed the article in hookpoint.

      Thanks mate. My local beaches are without doubt far more productive than chesil, but as you say there's something about that beach that draws you to it.

    Great effort Tom. Love the videos some top tips in there. Specially like the info about line diameter and changing it to compensate for the tide.

    Watchable and enjoyable video as usual, keep them coming, interesting comment regarding line dia, as I try and fish with 0.28 most of the time !

      0.28 is a great all round diameter. I'm on 0.26 as my all-rounder at the moment but will drop down to 0.20 on occasions.

      As I live and fish East Devon beaches, these being not as clean as Southborne, 28 / 21 lb Trabucco line is currently my preference, but still feels inadequate to me at times although trying to persevere
      My casting is improving after watching your small recently “teach in”, perhaps in the future you could elaborate on same

    Just one quick comment , where did all the sand come from , hasit been washed up by all the storms ? Every time I've fished it there I've had nothing but stones.

    • @christchurchanglingcentre5428
      @christchurchanglingcentre5428  2 роки тому +1

      The further west along chesil you go the finer the stones are. This was at Cogden where it's almost like coarse grit!

    10/10 for enthusiasm and effort! This mirrors my session at West Bexington on Wednesday, one 25cm plaice (first cast) and two dogfish. Only notable difference was It didn’t stop raining.
    One question- do you ever use small circle hooks for flatties? I did for the first time the other day as an experiment and the tiny plaice I caught still took it right back..
    Ps- yours and Wayne’s channels are probably the best I’ve come across

    • @christchurchanglingcentre5428
      @christchurchanglingcentre5428  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for the kind words John.
      I've been using circle hooks for a lot of my fishing over the last couple of years now, but haven't really ventured into using the for flatties, although I did fluke a sole on one whilst bass fishing a couple of weeks back. I'm not convinced they'll work as well because flatties tend to sit and chew the bait too long before moving off. Although I'll be happy to be proved wrong!

    • @thighs333
      @thighs333 2 роки тому +1

      That crossed my mind as I was watching static rod tips.. I’ll persevere on one rod at least but don’t hold your breath on being proved wrong.

    much better than the night video, you must remember that although your wife loves you maybe hardened anglers dont, that hook you got in your trousers didnt half make a mess, bet your mrs is not to happy, nice to see a video with some sea and beach in it, cant think you are good mates with your mate as hes half a mile along the beach, do you phone him to chat ,and i wonder are the rods still fishing when the pair of you are miles away from them and he says you could hook a monster, bye bye rods and reels, cod love mussels too, and to end with why set up so you are looking into the sun, almost sent me blind looking into that, specsavers bill on its way

    Cardiac Hill! Walking back up that hill with all your gear after running up and down the shingle for hours is a killer!
