To say I am obsessed with fishing would be an understatement!
I fish every week, of every month and in every type of water. I am lucky enough to live on the south coast where the diversity of fishing is endless, as you will see in my videos.

2 Hour Bream Bonanza!
A very enjoyable, quick after work trip to Milford Shingle Bank resulted in an almost fish a cast session, with black bream, gurnard and a pollack showing.

A rare trip for darren and I to a mid-chesil mark. The wind was far stronger than we'd hoped, and we had to endure a horrendous rain storm, but the fishing was great. A short video on how (not) to keep ragworm alive! Far too many people keep their worms with ice packs or with their frozen baits, sadly this is a sure fire way of killing them quickly, as this demonstration shows. If you need to keep your worms overnight, put them in a tray on a cool garage or shed floor. The Shore Hunter himself, Mr Wayne Hand, puts in a guest appearance too!

I used to be paranoid about this, but I have used coloured lines for quite a few years now and can honestly say it makes no difference. I do always use clear leaders though, so my mainline is 15m away from the rig.

I love this lighter side of fishing. Just don't get much chance in the Bristol Channel. What is that blue rod? Is it a Veret?
It is mate. That's my beloved Veret Syria 435. Just a stunning rod. Not neccesarily what I'd call lighter though, in fact I've used it in the Bristol Channel, but it is probably far lighter than most people would use there! I've always like to fish as light as I can get away with (probably something to do with my girly arms!🤣 ).

I haven't. I've really neglected that this year! Although it's not been the best season by all accounts.

No, they love the light! They follow the boat up and down, staying in the light! Does make you think hey!

Thanks, mate. Sadly not at the moment. We're so busy in the summer months there's no time for rig building. I will try and get as many made over the winter months as possible.

Whats the best size tide to fish at Milford shinge bank.
Avoid the biggest tides, and fish the ebb rather than the flood. Also avoid fising when there's no tide at all, the fishing can be slow then.

Great video again Tom, just wondering what your thoughts are on re freezing baits you don't use on a session?
I do that quite a lot. Oily fish, such as mackerel and sandeel, can go a bit mushy, though, so plenty of bait elastic will be needed next time out. If you're refreezing mackerel, lightly salt the fillets first, this will toughen them up. Squid is excellent, possibly actually better, when refrozen. Pink squid has accounted for so many of my fish in the past, especially bream and rays. Most people who say you can't either have a vested interest (dodgy tackle dealers, they're all the same), or haven't actually done it.
