Really cool and useful video (and some fantastic locations!). I also have an A7Cii but only full-frame lenses, so I've often been curious about the quality of my photos if I did pick up an APSC lens. If I ever do, I'll choose that Sigma 18-50mm for sure - I'm not a fan of 24-70mm/28-75mm full frame lenses because of their size and weight. I have a Tamron 28-75mm G2 that I barely use as I'd much rather carry two primes with me instead, especially for street photography.

@@lijinmaria4912 I think samyang 45mm f1.8 is a great compact inexpensive lens to begin with. You can use it for everyday photography, and turn to crop mode if you’re aiming for longer shots
Hii, Can you make a comparison video in a7cii difference between APSC mode and full mode, which mode is for batter Active stabilization and 120 FPS slow-Mo for batter sharpness..
stabilization effect will depend on focal length. Since apsc is cropped in, it's longer focal length, so it'll be more shaky. 120fps on a7cii can only be done in HD, not 4k, no matter in full frame or apsc mode.
You are right, but i see some fhb footage are not so sharp and some fhd footage are so sharp can't tell the difference with 4k watching in small display.. and in apsc mode it's getting a higher focal length but it not down sampling for 4k footage from the whole sensor, so less rolling Sutter, and may less things to process for active stabilization.. i see zv-e1 active stabilization only is so batter than a7cii act-stblztn in your video.. maybe because it zv-e1 not down sampling the footage.. so we may get a batter active stabilization with a wider aps-c lens for same fild of view as full frame in a7cii for 4k footage..
FHD can sometimes look as sharp as 4K, especially on smaller displays, but not in every case, it also depends on the lighting condition and which lens you use. You are right about rolling shutter, in APS-C mode, there’s noticeably less rolling shutter, so it might look like you get better stabilization.
Right, with my sony 11mm f1.8 apsc lens if it's apsc mode active stabilization as good as zv-e1 active stady only, it is a very perfect for me and with my tamron 28-200mm i can get some extra telephoto reach for the a7cii higher megapixel.. thanks 🥰
Thanks for the test. If an 18mm APS-C lens (in an APS-C body) equals a 28mm FF lens (in an FF body), so an 18mm APS-C in an FF body will be 18mm x 1.5, is that correct?
@@replay0712 Have you also tried the Sony 35 1.8? I’m thinking about buying one of these two, 40 f2.5 is more lightweight but 35 has larger aperture. Any suggestions?
@@ConstantineSPhotography I have owned both the 35mm f/1.8 and the 40 f/2.5. I prefer the 35mm because it is sharper, better minimum focus, less distortion, almost no focus breathing, and slightly cheaper price. The 40mm f/2.5 has an aperture ring but I feel like the ring is too close to the body and not the most comfortable to change. Definitely get the 35mm f/1.8.

Yes in camera lens corrections work greatly on jpeg images, you don't have to correct it in post!

Yes it's full frame but I put an apsc lens on it to keep it lightweight and it works great
