Zeiss batis 40mm F/2 is still the best image of all although it's very old
@@wclinus Thanks for sharing, I’ll look into it!
There have been made at least 43 35mm full frame Lenses for Sony E-mount, so plenty to choose from ! I have two 35mm Lenses, the very compact and light weight (120 gram) Sony Carls Zeiss Sonnar 35mm 2.8 T* ZA which always can find space in a bag or a pocket, the excellent Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 35mm 2.0 Aspherical which is build like a tank and have an optical image quality second to none, I can highly recommend both of these two 35mm Lenses. I got the Sony Carl Zeiss Sonnar 35mm 2.8 T* ZA used in very good condition in 2023 for US $215 (taxes included).
@@cameraprepper7938 Sounds like a great deal, I’ve heard a lot of positive reviews about the 35 2.8 too. Thanks for sharing!
I will try the Meike 35 mm F2 AF. Due to Amazon Black Week it is now to order for only 191,99 €.
@@chessFo Cool! Hope you get the great deal and let us know your feedback!
The Tamron 35mm F2.8 can get much closer and is sharper with smoother backgrounds.

@@ConstantineSPhotography yeah really versatile, i was buy this cause my activity is 60% vid than photo
What a great comparison. Very helpful. Thanks! I've heard several people speak positively of this lens. It's on my list of lenses I wish to buy.
@@paullafleur6112 Thank you 🙏 I was surprised that this lens got so many recommendations, but after I tried it, I can tell why!
35mm is such an awkward focal length for me. But the images you took with this lens made me want to give this focal length another try.
@@TheMonsieurSalty Glad to hear that, I was a bit concerned about the focal length too, but now I think it’s a great everyday lens .
before i watch this, i can say this len is Very cost-effective which i may use it for a whole day PreWedding job
I'm impressed after actually trying it, great value indeed (and it's even more so because I got a great second-hand deal!)
If it's not worth it, can I have it? 😂 Just kidding, I only have a Canon EOS 500D, old but damn I want a Sony just don't have budget yet
😂😂 I'm not familiar with Canon system, but I can tell you I'm really satisfied with Sony!
Great video, thanks for making it! So glad that we have a choice between two great and affordable lenses. It's fantastic that Sony allows third party lenses. I think I will go with the Samyang as it offers that little extra angle that is quite useful to add some extra spice to the image, even though it's almost twice the price in Europe.
Thanks for supporting! The extra two angle can make great difference. I think the price gap is about the same in Asia too🥲🥲
hi nice video! can you use it for portrait shots?
Thanks! Sure you can, but if you want more obvious background separation, you might want to use longer focal length.
@@ConstantineSPhotographythanks for your reply. Since i am on a limited budget, i am considering this or a 56mm for portrait. In your own opinion, what would you choose? Thanks in advance. Also, subscribed!
@ thanks for supporting, 56mm apsc is the standard focal length for portrait, 35apsc is more suitable for everyday use, it depends on what your main purpose is.
zve10ii have dual iso?
It is said to have the same sensor as the a6700 and fx30, so theoretically it should have dual iso at 800 and 2500, but I don't have these cameras so I can't confirm it.
What picture profile do u use
I used PP10 HLG2 and color graded in Davinci resolve
i using the same gear , but i have a problem with the focus , sometimes the focus is out of control ( from clear to out focus suddenly on video ) and cant focus sometime on photo , must turn off and on to fix it do your gear have that ?
@@hungtovi1656 I encountered the same problem too. It’s probably because your lens isn’t updated to the latest firmware. You can check your version: Select [Menu] → [Setup] → [Version] on the camera If it’s this problem, you’ll need to get a lens station from Samyang to update the lens. I’ve done that and the af problem is fixed.
@@ConstantineSPhotography thank you so much for this information :D

hi I watched your previous video on ttartisan 27mm f2.8 and viltrox 20mm f2.8, how is it compare this 35mm f1.8 to both of the lenses? AF speed, sharpness etc..I mainly shoot street photography and for travel use...
Personally I think 27 2.8 is pretty good. Extremely lightweight and sharp, the viltrox 20mm equals 30mm on an apsc lens, I think it's great too, but a bit wide for street photography.
@@ConstantineSPhotography thanks for your reply actually I bought the 27mm 2.8 before seeing your reply..haha

Does zve10 have eis? The footage is very stable 👌
No zve10 doesn't have stabilization. It takes some time to practice, and it'll look more stable!

@@luisgabrielguevara8729 Do you need two card slots? If not, a7cii is a more suitable choice.

Congrats on the new lens! This Sigma zoom is one of my favorites. Great closeup capacity and compact size.
@ I own both, at f4 the lens is noticeably un sharp, f4 is also it’s only good feature 😔 and it can’t even do it right sadly.
it is always feeling well without using GM Lens with sony camera to make great photo & videos as me ft. Samyang 24mm f1.8 + [TTArt 75mm f2] < which is buying it after watching your clip last time
@@2cypress2 I agree with you. The gm lenses are too expensive for me, so I convinced myself that budget-friendly tools can work too. Happy to hear your comments!
Which do you prefer?
@@dericsanchez4081 they are very different, zve1 is more for low light video, and it’s also got the best stabilization, but the zve10 can give you a great balance between photos and videos and great value for money
Nice! The Sony A7Cii stabilisation is quite good. And the Samyang 75mm f1.8 bokeh is very enjoyable. Neat little lens
Thank you! Yes the stabilization is better than expected, as long as you pay more attention, walking shots can still look pretty steady.

I understand that the A7C2 has dual ISO, and I’ve learned that when shooting video, the shutter speed should be set to double the frame rate. Does this mean that when recording video, the only adjustable setting left for me is the F-stop?
Theoretically yes, but if you don't care about the 180 degrees rule, you can use faster shutter speed too. (but definitely not slower shutter speed)
@ Thank you for your reply. I mostly shoot in 4K at 30p; does this mean I can use a shutter speed faster than 1/60, like 1/120 or 1/320, and still get good results?
@ 1/60 is ideally the best for 30p video, it will give you the correct motion blur effect. Using faster shutter speed will not result in the same effect, but it won’t look bad either, a lot of people won’t even notice. On the other hand, you should never use a slower shutter speed because your video will have strange jitters
Great video and overview for all creative looks. Thanks for examples stills&video. It is very helpful :)
I'm very glad to hear that! Thanks for watching!
a7cii user here
Greetings!
There's information stating that the Sony A7C II does not support dual base ISO. Is this information incorrect?
That is because Sony has a very strict definition about dual base ISO, but in practice, it's just like what you see in this video, at those 2 numbers, footages look cleaner.
Are Samyang and Ttartisan the only ones having 75mm? How about 85mm which one would you recommend for sony a7cii ?
So far I've only tried viltrox and 7artisans 85mm, and I prefer the latter. You can check out this comparison for more information: ua-cam.com/video/RWu3F6l3_1I/v-deo.html

can you please compare video quality of a7cm2 and zve1 showing shooting same clip with two cameras to see the difference? Also If you could show Scinetone on auto ISO on A7cm2 in low light. I am an armature shooter who is not using Slog and i have tried zve1. I was not impressed by the quality of video especially if i were to activate dynamic stabilization or i were to use clear image zoom. I want to see how the active stabilization is on a7cm2 vs active and dynamic on zve1. It syas that a7cm2 has 7 stops in active dynamic vs zve1 having 5 stop
hello, you can do a search on his channel. there are several videos comparing the A7c2 and the zve1.
@imranalijafar Please refer to these videos for general comparison, stabilization, and low light. ua-cam.com/video/A-TtqX-gAec/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/gGUts1Etu_E/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/4YG9ZbUp038/v-deo.html It is true that dynamic stabilization and clear image zoom will decrease quality, but the drop of quality is not always visible, sometimes you can only see it when you compare side by side or when you zoom in a lot.
@ thanks. i just ordered a7cii. i will be using 20-40 mm f2.8 with crop mode, i shall get 60 mm . what other lens ( prime) i should get ?
@ you’ve got the wide angle side covered, a standard 50 seems too close, so I would suggest getting a 75mm prime for portrait.
Thank you very much for sharing this😊. It was very useful. I watch a lot of your videos and I hesitate to buy the zve1 in addition to the ac7c2. I'm not a professional but the 4k60 and the low light make me hesitate
Personally I'm very happy with the a7cii. I prefer longer focal length, so the 1.5X crop at 4k60p doesn't bother me too much. As for low light, I found ISO3200 enough for most of my everyday use. But when I went camping in the mountains, the ISO 12800 of zve1 did play a crucial role.

Is clear image zoom on a7cII maintain auto focus area like zve1 does or it is like the older camera that you lose auto focus area?
you still have autofocus, when you half press the shutter, it'll pick the focus automatically, but you can't touch the monitor to select where to focus.
