    Does these drain doesn’t need a P trap ? That’s the idea right? To eliminate the P trap? I’m I right ?

That’s correct with this particular version - the Nonreturn valve eliminates the need for the Water Seal in stopping smells coming back into the room.

That non return valve once its gummed up with hair & products etc becomes useless and rhen bexomes non operative as most customers have no idea hiw to maintain and clean them out. Does that trap have a 2.5° gradient or is it a horizontal outlet. Most shower traps struggle to clear properly especially if its served by an electric shower with poor flow rate add to that when shiwer gel foams up so then the waste pipe hardly ever runs full bore to clean it , as it would with a bath flowing fullbore when emptying ! Thats when you get the build up of hair and product's. So its ok having a trap that allows for minimal depth especially on solid floors and low profile trays. Alot of plumbers have no idea about self siphonage or induced siphonage they just fit whatever will fit in ! Esoecially in flats where tbe traps require a deep seal to overcome being pulled by other appliances above or below . The ending result being smell emanating into the bathroom. Now in an ideal world that trap you showed would be great but in the ream world not necessarily so wspecially in student accomodation where they dont gjve a rats back side and it just gets left !!
Hair and products are tbe bane of any shower trap or bath trap come to that really. Sort that out youre onto a winner !

Thanks for your detailed feedback. We certainly cannot disagree, hair and cleaning products are more often than not the cause of a lot of waste issues, that’s why all our traps are designed with servicing in mind.

@@mcalpineplumb Would be great if you could come up with a cleaning kit for the NRV. Some kind of a box or jig that the NRV goes in, you turn a handle and it mechanically cleans (via a brush or a sponge) the inner circumference as well as opening the valve and cleaning between the mating surfaces. Said box could be filled with normal household detergents and warm water to speed up the process. Also, the kit could contain a spare valve so that the wife doesn't moan about the shower not being usable for 5 minutes while I'm cleaning her hair and products out.

This type of shower trap is not fit for purpose....We have 12mm backer board 10 mm floor board..its not enough space!! to connect the plastic nut onto the trap. The problem is depth....just not enough.. Great to be able to pull out the insides and clean..But if the space isn't there in the fitting ..Then no good.... I did see one company that had an ajustable depth trap..which i purchased and works great... Not everybody installs shower trays on flooor boards...
