Yea or just give thanks for taking the time to find a solution and work for you guys dude.. Don't be a pushover with your dealer and force them to do their job, you paid $$ for the truck so make sure it is fixed, that's what I did in the end.
Just went to a local dealership for same issue...sorry nothing we can do about it...Toyota knows of the problem and doesn't have a solution...I was told...BS
As a former technician at Lexus dealership, I can tell you what we do is any brand-new vehicles with these types of issues that don't have any remedies available, we will file a DPR report to Toyota Corporate in Texas. They will look into the issue, and once the DPR reports reach certain amount, then they will issue a recall or campaign for all vehicles involved. I myself will be getting a 23 tundra too in a week, finger crossed!
Outstanding job, Jon! You helped a lot of people out with this one. Thank you for bringing attention to this issue. This undoubtedly got the attention of Toyota. Keep up the great work.
Thanks TRD JON! I had collected a laundry list of "issues" to be addressed and dropped off my truck to let the dealership have it for as long as they needed (I have an early '22 release (purchased CPO) that already had the turbos swapped out). A bunch of TSBs and reprogramming was done, and I provided your video with the part numbers for the door concerns. They did everything on the list that they had parts for, but had to order the weather stripping for the passenger side. As of now, as I'm driving down the road, NO MORE SHUDDERING NOISES from the driver's side!!!! I can still hear the passenger side, but in due time. THANKS!!!!
Nice truck Jon!! A fuel line issue!! That's scary!! I have 5,000 miles on my 23 Nissan Titan pro-4x and No issues at all!! Weird how that works. So you could say Nissan is better!!
my titan is a 23 pro6x, harness was replaced at 480 miles, front drivers side leak when it rains no fix, random electronic gremlins since the harness fix, plus hard shifting it is getting traded for a tundra with 12K on it. This is my 5th nissan truck and second titan. Nissan is not what it used to be. Still love the motor and i get 19 highway regularly. just too many issues, Nissan as a company is falling apart, and I would rather die than domestic.
I believe I fixed the whole door issue without going to the dealer. I was having the same issue on my 2024 Limited. I just rolled the window down and pulled on the window frame with all my weight. It brought the door closer like it should have been from the factory. All good now
I did your trick with the extra seal and it worked. I also have an appointment today (Mon. Jan. 15th) for the fuel line recall. When they called they didn’t say anything the tank needs to be below ¼. I won’t be happy if that what they want. I live 1 ½ hours from the dealer.
Glad to hear yours got fixed, I drove from Louisiana to Alabama to get the seals replaced but the rattle came right back after a few weeks. Did that rubber seal DIY and it's been gone since. Thanks for the update!
John, I have the exact same truck 23 tundra platinum and I don’t have any of those issues. Maybe it’s true with a friend of mine says you never wanna buy a truck that was made on Monday or Friday. Mine was made on Thursday and I don’t have no issues I’ve had it for 11 months. I just had the two recalls the transmission and the parking brake, but never problem with the transmission or the parking break. The only thing I had a problem with was the seat the lower extender Hadn’t worked for 11 months and I just got it fixed but other than that I don’t have no noise no chatter no squeaks no nothing. None of that stuff that you had with Yours thank God cause I really love the truck. I really love it. I was at Home Depot the other day and somebody backed into it. It’s $2000 a damage thousand dollars apart I’m just I got mixed feelings about all that I’m grateful that it wasn’t any more damage….
Windows on my new 2024 TRD Limited leak cold air and wind noise like a sieve. The dealer put new door seals on...cured nothing. I can't believe Toyota didn't have this sorted out before production. I'm also surprised they are selling trucks with only 1 key? I'm told a 6 month wait for my 2nd key, yet the lot is now full of new trucks.
That’s a good dealership!! Here in Hawaii we only have ONE Toyota dealer and they will tell you to kick rocks😂 they wouldn’t go that far for any customer! If they can’t figure it out after couple times they would leave it be
I had the exact same problem on my 1996 Pontiac Fiero I drove me crazy it was my first sports car. It was the seal. I quick fix that worked real well was silicone lubrication to the door seal. You do have reapply it from time to time, but it mostly takes care of the problem. It's only caused by the rubber used and the material protection on the glass.
Thanks a lot for making this video Jon. My driver side door has the same issue and I took my vehicle to the dealership twice and they just applied some lubricant on the window seal and it made the noise go away for 3-4 miles and then it started to rattle again. Scheduled an appt with them next week and this video will be very helpful. Appreciate ur videos!!
Thanks! Mentioned it to them based on Jon’s previous video and also forwarded the link to this one to the service advisor. Will bring it again during my drive with lead tech. Fingers crossed.
@TRD JON..thank you for the update JON. I put a piece of weatherstrip and it reduced the noise but did not take away completely. My dealership believe that the issues is with the plastic molding strip in the windshield (passenger side). They noticed the rattle and decided to taped it down, and according to them the noise went away completely. They ordered a brand new one, but my truck is currently in the body shop for repairs (rear ended by a teenager), so I won’t get the molding installed until the repairs are complete. If the molding fix the issue, I will leave a comment here. I am still thinking to replace the seals on both doors as my Tundra is still noisy on the highways. Sadly, I enjoy driving my 2015 Ford Explorer more on the highway, especially here in windy Oklahoma 😀.
Glad to see yours got fixed. Mine seems to rattle a little bit since the last fix on the corner right next to your ear since they actuallly moved my door forward and moved the striker in. My window seals on the rear are kinda janky on the other doors as well. My door seal was replaced but that didnt fix it as well. Report back in a few months and let us know bro!
The rattle is back but mainly at highway speeds now. Theyve added felt to the inside area where the door seal sits on the inside of the truck. Spoke with toyota corporate about your truck and they asked if I mentioned the video to them. Well see what comes of it after toyota reaches out to my local dealer. @@TRDJon
Awesome work Jon! Thanks for sticking with this, I don’t have this issue yet with my 2024 but if it develops I’m glad your video documents a solution. Stay well and keep it up! 👍🏻
Random creaks and rattles annoy me. I was so fortunate that my 2022 1794 had no issues other than the lower chrome door trim occasionally catching on the front door when the rear door was opened when it was super cold.
You have a good Toyota dealership cause I can’t get my door rattle fixed anywhere in Illinois. And we have a 2 month back log for the fuel line so I hope mine lasts with all this Midwest salt
Interesting. I suggested lubing those door seals in your last video on thise issue. I had the same issue right away in mine. WD40 on a rag, wipe down the seal, problem solved. Been a year and no issues. The seal is to grippy and the WD40 offsets that characteristic. This fix is universal to any make and model. There's a chance your new seal will do the same thing at some point. If so, Wd40 and no wasted time at the dealer.
I had the seals done on my driver side on my 23 Tundra 6 months ago. It was good for a while and it started up again with the wind noise. I'm taking it back again.
Great run down and I'm glad to hear you got that issue fixed JON, weather stripping is a secondary fix to the real problem which your dealership mentioned was that the striker was at it's limit, that is where the real problem lies I feel, it's a design issue with the striker not being mounted properly (or not enough adjustment to it) on the door post and maybe the Toyota designers might want to have a look at that (personally speaking). Thanks for the update. :)
Hey Jon, i feel so disappointed with the things going on with my truck. I have a 2023 tundra trd pro. It literally seems like its falling apart. Im only 20k miles in and want to get rid of it at this point. My main issue was the brake sqeaking, the director got involved and “fixed it” by changing out the pads to some higher quality ones. Its only been a week but fingers crossed. The rest of the issues are so many….All of the camo liners on all 4 sides are now detaching, the tailgate camo plastic broke out of nowhere, i too have the issue with the tailgate being unaligned and the paint chipping, my trd pro badges are falling off, the window seals have all sorts of wonky cuts inside and out. All the windows have a about an inch space with no seal that im sure gets water inside when it rains. Now with the interior, the liner for the roof collapsed. They had to go in and clip it again because the clips were broken on the inside. My screen goes blank while driving, so does my dashboard (which should be a safety hazard). With all of this you’d think that im being very rough with it, but i take care of it so much. Its never even been off of a paved road. We waited a year for this truck to come in and now its a massive headache.
I have the same problem with my 2022 Limited they tried to fix the headliner several times they couldn’t do it same with the brakes they replace the brakes five times, and the vibration it’s not going away when I got in touch with the corporation they didn’t do anything Toyota tundra is the worst truck I ever buy horrible quality everything feel like falling apart
That is horrible I am so sorry to hear all this. But I would try to get it all fixed and if they can't then hopefully if you leave a bad review, Toyota or the dealer may try harder or take it up the Toyota ladder
If only we all had a reputable dealer, mine cant even fix the front leg extension that stopped working during the first week. Luckily I haven't noticed the wind/rattle noise but my other vehicle is a 50 year old square body.
Ridiculous. Every shop has a manual gas pump for this exact reason. They can pump your gas out into a canister and pump it right back in after the repair.
Yeehaw! score, hope it stays that way!!! My 2023 got the park brake recall (just completed it) Just dealing with a few minor things, a dash rattle, and my heater vents whistle when the blower motor is on med/hi - the dealer here is rock solid and helping me through this, so like you said, its a new platform and one that has a few conflict points being worked out as they go! Other than that I am waiting for my 2nd key and bed mat (on back order) For the Fuel Door, I have yet to get that notice!
I've had similar issues with my Rav4 windows, they let quite a bit of wind noise in and if you push on the window the noise goes away. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the seal but you can still hear the wind. I think Toyota tried to use as little rubber as possible to save cost but it wasn't enough to create a good press against the windows.
Thank you for sticking with this and posting the end result after the dealer fixed it. I hope Toyota doesn’t make the same quality mistakes on the 2024 Tacoma.
This fuel line recall is actually the second one, I have 2 and it's not the recall vs remedy available. This second one says the first one didn't fix the issue and was only a temporary solution. I'm glad I didn't bother the first time just to get told I have to do it again.
Just saw another UA-camr post a video about the trim around the door as it was super thin, flimsy and barely attached. His video was basically picking apart how cheap some components are on new gen Tundras.
I have a wind noise issue with the RR door. The dealer has worked on it 3 times and reported it to Toyota corporate. I may try this piece of gasket to see if it goes away. It's very annoying in the winter now that temps are less than 40.
I picked up a 24 sr5 off road a month ago and just received a letter regarding the fuel line recall and to schedule maintenance. So they are still building these with the defect.
I think your dealership watched your channel and decided to do a remedy just for you. Non of the dealerships in my area would do anything about my '23 Tundra. They said that Toyota does not have a fix for it.
good to hear. I'm sure the next year model will have better seals and toyota will justify a 1000 dollar increase for the 10 bucks more worth of seals they use.
My 23’ 1794 only really makes a noise like that in heavy crosswinds. So it’s not as pronounced at low speeds like yours, but I’m at 19k miles and I paid too much to have any noise like this even if only at high speeds imo. I think I’m going to try and make them address it like yours.
Any idea on a TSB for this issue? My dealer has not been any help on this issue. I tried adjusting the door, tried the filler strip, none of it helped. What did help was taking the weatherstripping off of the cab, at the bottom there is a slot to get into the tube of the weatherstripping. I sprayed silicone lube into this tube and hung it upside down to get up to the top. Reinstalled the weatherstripping and so far no more noise. I have a June build 2022 and both front doors were doing this. The new weatherstripping you have on the door looks much nicer. It would be nice if I could get my dealer to put that on as well. Thanks for keeping us updated!
It most likely was a striker issue due to where I work the die that makes the inner door frame where the latch bolts on to well it got destroyed for the passenger side no spare form blocks so it was repaired. As of November of 23 new forms were put in so all should be back to original specs. I have a 23 tundra with no door rattle but I got mine in October of 22. I could be wrong but it just seems odd that there’s a rattle issue and that’s the same side there was a die issue. Also I can confirm the doors are aluminum.
Thanks for figuring this out, man! Side question, are you glad you went with the tow mirrors? Do they stick out much farther than the standard ones? TIA
@TRD JON. The dealership replaced the windshield weatherstripping (mounding) on the passenger side and so far the rattling noise is gone. Not sure if after another 4-5k miles, that weatherstripping will break again. Are the seals that your dealership replaced on both doors the same as the factory ones?
FYI, the stricker on the b-pillar is adjustable so if you loosen the screws, it has a little play, move it in and then tighten it back down and the door will close tighter. Glad your issues were resolved!
Just bought a 2024 TRD Pro and the door rattle is driving me nuts!!! Im a sales manager at a Toyota dealership and I’ll be sure to tell my techs about this and hopefully we can get this done to mine.
Dropped my ‘24 off today to get my wind noise and rattle issue addressed. Cited your video fix when dropping it off. They agreed there was a lot of wind noise but said that it was “normal” for these trucks and that the other similar one they drove us the same issue so, they’re not fixing it. Do you have a part number or something so I can order and replace the seal with the one you got? Since my dealership is basically useless.
Just went to my dealer for same issue. They claimed they couldn’t hear anything and said they can’t fix it when I told them what was causing it the rubber seal moving in and out from door movement and said there’s no corporate issue with this problem. Tired of the incompetence.
Thanks for the detailed videos! Can you do a size comparison (interior, exterior, bed, loading, backseat, child seat, etc... ) for new platform tundra vs Tacoma?
Are the new seals the same as the originals or have they been redesigned? I had my dealer do the same fix over a year ago but the noise eventually came back.
Hey TRD Jon. My 2024 tundra's headlights have moister build up inside the housing. And My local salvage yard buddy pointed it out to me, saying that I should go report it to toyota so that they can replace them. Have you noticed this issue with your tundra? (BTW, it's -20° over in montana) My 98 outback doesn't even build up monster in the headlights. I'm also running into the wind noise issue with my Tundra. Could I get Toyota to fix it still? Since my truck is so new?
I bought a 2024 platinum in December and I had to replace my whole frame for my drivers seat due to the leg extension not working. A day after they put in a whole new 1,700 dollar frame in it quit working again. Has anyone had this problem.
Yes. I showed it in my last update video. But the leg extender is its own motor, not frame. So maybe they never fixed it in the first place. Mine was intermitent until they replaced the motor/
I had the same issue with a 2023 tundra trd pro. My brakes would squeak every single time i would brake. I ended up taking it in about 9 times for this issue. They started to vibrate really bad when i would drive on the highway (this was about the 5-6th time i has taken it in) they ended up resurfacing the rotors. The squeaking only stopped for about a week after. They kept saying that they dont fix brake noise because the warranty would not cover it. That its a heavy truck and it was going to make noise regardless. One manager even said “it seems like you’re using for commercial use and your brakes are bound to sqeak its metal rubbing on metal”. Mind you my truck only has 20k miles and we’ve had it a year. Yes we do drive alot / travel alot but thats why we got a new truck. To not have to worry about these things and just enjoy it. Anywho… i had to get my sales manager involved, he got the service director involved and we went to drive it to confirm to noise. Cause some way some how the service tech could “not duplicate the noise”. I got a little suspicious of this the last time i took it in that i memorized the mileage and realized that they never drove it around. The director was able to confirm the noise. He changed out my brake pads to a better material and resurfaced the rotors. This was just last week. Hopefully this is the end of that. It was so embarrassing having to drive it like that. Id say just go straight to the director. Or keep taking it. Take videos. Lots of them. Goodluck!
Update, mine is back but its more from the winding hitting the lip of the seal where the window tucks into when its rolled all the way up. I'll roll it down and flick the seal and it makes the same noise. #sigh
@@TRDJon yeah made a appointment on Wednesday to a dealer near my office to leave it there with them because my truck also has like a lack of speed, pedal feels heavy like the truck stresses to accelerate over 2,000 RPM
@@TRDJon ahh I figured as much it would. I imagine as everything breaks in and settles they just get worn. Atleast you don’t have that In your 2nd gen.
FR primarily but FL as well make a terribly loud squeaking noise. Goes away almost completely once I've warmed the brakes up, but it's gotten worse and worse over time. Had it since 3 weeks after I bought the truck.
The dealers (I've talked to two) are pushing back hard. They resurfaced the pads for free, it fixed the problem for all of 24 hours. They claim that they don't know what part to replace... I told them it's a safety hazard because it involves the brakes AND it's affecting the way I operate the vehicle. The dealer seemed much more uncomfortable when I worded it that way. No word on the fix yet. They seem to have their hands tied waiting on Toyota to tell them how to fix it?
Not to mention it's a huge ding on the brand. Everyone for 200 yards can hear me... Even through buildings. Many people have commented on how horrible it is
Hey Jon, do you know if Toyota would sell these thicker door seals? I see you put a list up with some part numbers… I just wondering if I tried to purchase them out of my own pocket, if they would be the thin flimsy seals…
@@TRDJon Yes, It is still under warranty. But, I haven’t had much luck with my dealership. I’ve taken my truck in for minor issues before and they either tell me that it is normal or there is nothing they can do. Also, my door rattle is not too bad. With my luck, I’ll take it in and I won’t be able to recreate it. I’ve kind of lost faith the dealerships in my area. I just figure I’ll take care of it myself if the cost isn’t too high…
If only we were all UA-camrs and the dealership would help us with these issues.

That is horrible I am so sorry to hear all this. But I would try to get it all fixed and if they can't then hopefully if you leave a bad review, Toyota or the dealer may try harder or take it up the Toyota ladder
Im really glad I got a 4 runner, im praying the new Tacoma will be more solid than the tundras
Exactly the same problem I have with the rattling. Gonna show my dealer this video. Thanks for doing this for us!!!!
Of course!
If only we all had a reputable dealer, mine cant even fix the front leg extension that stopped working during the first week. Luckily I haven't noticed the wind/rattle noise but my other vehicle is a 50 year old square body.
My dealer said the same thing for the temp gas line fix. Makes dropping the tank way safer and easier.
You’d think Toyota would have said that then in the letter so people don’t waste their time.
Nice!!! I’m glad. Check your glove box. That shelf in it rattles a lot.
After my next tampa trip i will be headed to my dealership to finally get this fixed. Got to hit the Tampa RV show first
Enjoy!
You and me both!
Gotta love that new Toyota quality
It's frustrating for sure with some things with this truck.
Great job Jon,Thanks for your hard work,You are the best.
I appreciate that!
This fuel line recall is actually the second one, I have 2 and it's not the recall vs remedy available. This second one says the first one didn't fix the issue and was only a temporary solution. I'm glad I didn't bother the first time just to get told I have to do it again.
Correct as I stated it is basically a band aid till 2024
Just saw another UA-camr post a video about the trim around the door as it was super thin, flimsy and barely attached. His video was basically picking apart how cheap some components are on new gen Tundras.
Whose channel? Need to check it out

Did your suggestion and it fixed the wind noise and whistle. I got a 2023 limited crewcab.
the ghetto fix?
Yes sir, the whistling is gone and the wind noise has lessened
I have a wind noise issue with the RR door. The dealer has worked on it 3 times and reported it to Toyota corporate.
I may try this piece of gasket to see if it goes away. It's very annoying in the winter now that temps are less than 40.
Yea the colder temps make things way worse
I picked up a 24 sr5 off road a month ago and just received a letter regarding the fuel line recall and to schedule maintenance. So they are still building these with the defect.
I think your dealership watched your channel and decided to do a remedy just for you. Non of the dealerships in my area would do anything about my '23 Tundra. They said that Toyota does not have a fix for it.
good to hear. I'm sure the next year model will have better seals and toyota will justify a 1000 dollar increase for the 10 bucks more worth of seals they use.
lol
My 23’ 1794 only really makes a noise like that in heavy crosswinds. So it’s not as pronounced at low speeds like yours, but I’m at 19k miles and I paid too much to have any noise like this even if only at high speeds imo. I think I’m going to try and make them address it like yours.
Just got my truck and yes, wind noise for sure. Taking it to the dealer. Let's see what happens.
Let us know
Any idea on a TSB for this issue?
Not at the moment
Jon you got me buying a tundra today I’m at the dealership now 😂
Look it over well to make sure fit and finish is solid man!
Hope everything works out for you.
Thanks!!!
Thanks for figuring this out, man! Side question, are you glad you went with the tow mirrors? Do they stick out much farther than the standard ones? TIA
Lexus and Toyota have been full of recalls and TSBs the last 10 years. Its crazy
Cuz they finally updated their line up lol
Have a similar rattling issue with my 24 Corolla especially when it’s cold. Very annoying
Got the tonneau bed cover. Has a recall and most of the clips broke in less than a year… still waiting on the recall to be solved 😩
Thanks!!!
You Da Man! Congrats and thank you!
Thought they would have fixed this but my 2024 manufactured in March has the same problem. Other than that I love the truck.
Ridiculous
Finaalllyyy. Congrats!
I know. It’s been a processs
Good job Jon!
Yess
Thank you, Jon. Does anyone have the part numbers for the new Toyota seals?
Just bought a 2024 TRD Pro and the door rattle is driving me nuts!!! Im a sales manager at a Toyota dealership and I’ll be sure to tell my techs about this and hopefully we can get this done to mine.
Lemme know!
You heard of anyone with a ‘24 having the same issue?
Yes I have
Yep. They do it too smh
I don’t have the papers anymore, but I thought I showed it in this video on the papers on the screen. I may be mistaken
Hi. Can you show how and where install additional weatherstripping from Amazon Please? Chris -23 tundra owner
Thank you. Good job
nice done jon
Have a question about the trucks having brake noise issues. Have you heard anything about this issue.
Just went to my dealer for same issue. They claimed they couldn’t hear anything and said they can’t fix it when I told them what was causing it the rubber seal moving in and out from door movement and said there’s no corporate issue with this problem. Tired of the incompetence.
I’m so sick of dealers ruining the brand. Too many bad ones
What dealer did you take it to
I have this on my 24 :( no recall on it tho
Does anybody have the upper left dash rattle creek. That popped up on my 24 limited wonder if any 22-23 guys are having this issue.
I haven’t. My glove box shelf rattles sometimes.
Thanks for the detailed videos!
Can you do a size comparison (interior, exterior, bed, loading, backseat, child seat, etc... ) for new platform tundra vs Tacoma?
If I ever have them side by side
@@TRDJon thanks!
Jon have you had or have you heard of brake issues (squealing sounds) with the 2023 2 wheel drive Platinum? Please HELP!!!
I have from other yes. Personally mine hasn't but that sounds horrible.
My2023 TRD off road, it’s little noisy on the driver side door!
Mine as well, but more wind noise, not necessarily a rattle. Passenger side is a different story.
Good news. Fingers crossed.
Right???
Are the new seals the same as the originals or have they been redesigned? I had my dealer do the same fix over a year ago but the noise eventually came back.
They may just be the same. But they feel stiffer then what was in the originally honestly.
Which dealership did the work?!? My dealer wants to contact them directly for a full detail review so they can fix mine!
Thanks Jon!
Toyota FWB. I screen shot everything that they did in this video.
YAY!!
Hey TRD Jon. My 2024 tundra's headlights have moister build up inside the housing. And My local salvage yard buddy pointed it out to me, saying that I should go report it to toyota so that they can replace them. Have you noticed this issue with your tundra? (BTW, it's -20° over in montana)
My 98 outback doesn't even build up monster in the headlights.
I'm also running into the wind noise issue with my Tundra. Could I get Toyota to fix it still? Since my truck is so new?
I haven't in mine or my old one. I would have your dealer replace them. The seal is bad.
My truck is making whistling noises when i drive in the highway. Does anyone know how much Toyota would charge to fix this issue ?
Should be under warranty if it’s a new truck
I bought a 2024 platinum in December and I had to replace my whole frame for my drivers seat due to the leg extension not working. A day after they put in a whole new 1,700 dollar frame in it quit working again. Has anyone had this problem.
Yes. I showed it in my last update video. But the leg extender is its own motor, not frame. So maybe they never fixed it in the first place. Mine was intermitent until they replaced the motor/
I looked at what they replaced they couldn’t just order the motor it was the entire frame of the seat it just works whenever it feels like it now.
oh wow that is strange. Hopefully they can fix it again.
I only see a reprogram no fuel line for mine
Did this fix the wind noise as well?
Kinda. But not on the driver side. Still a whistle. This Tundra is bad with that. But it’s also lifted so I’m not gonna be to nitpick on that
Hey Jon, I’ve been battling my dealership about my brakes squeeling, any ideas? I keep getting the run around
Goodluck!
I haven't had that happen but it seems several have here in the comments.
Still want to add tow mirrors to my tundra. Ever learn how to swap?
Still looking like it is a hassle with the harnesses
Update, mine is back but its more from the winding hitting the lip of the seal where the window tucks into when its rolled all the way up. I'll roll it down and flick the seal and it makes the same noise. #sigh
Hey John what about the driver wind noise any update or it’s been fixed?
Its worse with the new seals.
My dealerships tech says there is no rattle, yet I drove it with him I heard it rattle like 70% of the drive but yet they still said there is nothing
Tell them to get hearing aids. Or just go to another dealer and review that bad one. Unfortunately there are lazy techs out there
@@TRDJon yeah made a appointment on Wednesday to a dealer near my office to leave it there with them because my truck also has like a lack of speed, pedal feels heavy like the truck stresses to accelerate over 2,000 RPM
Oh man 😣 hoped they work with you!
Jon, I can’t find your video of replacing your grill and where to purchase.
Type in Rave Tundra grille trd jon.
The rattling is back
Any updates on this? Did the rattle return prior to you trading it in?
It came back when I had them swap the seals again due to wind noise. SO it is is 100% the seals
@@TRDJon ahh I figured as much it would. I imagine as everything breaks in and settles they just get worn. Atleast you don’t have that In your 2nd gen.
Now if they can just fix the brake issue that I'm being plagued with!
FR primarily but FL as well make a terribly loud squeaking noise. Goes away almost completely once I've warmed the brakes up, but it's gotten worse and worse over time. Had it since 3 weeks after I bought the truck.
I haven’t heard that in mine. Have you gotten new brakes warrantiesd?
Many people have commented on how horrible it is
Ooooh man! That’s freaking horrible. If you have another dealer close? If so maybe bring up the concern to them.
Hey Jon, do you know if Toyota would sell these thicker door seals? I see you put a list up with some part numbers… I just wondering if I tried to purchase them out of my own pocket, if they would be the thin flimsy seals…
Is your truck out of warranty?
@@TRDJon Yes, It is still under warranty. But, I haven’t had much luck with my dealership. I’ve taken my truck in for minor issues before and they either tell me that it is normal or there is nothing they can do. Also, my door rattle is not too bad. With my luck, I’ll take it in and I won’t be able to recreate it. I’ve kind of lost faith the dealerships in my area. I just figure I’ll take care of it myself if the cost isn’t too high…
You can try just adding the parts number online and see what comes up honestly.
@@TRDJon Sounds good! Worth a shot! Thanks!
Has this fix held up for you? I've had the seal replaced 3 times now, and it's a 2024.
It has so far yes!
