- Elton John played two soldout dates at Dodger Stadium. Decked out in a sequined Dodgers uniform here is Eltons infamous appearance at Dodgers Stadium.
The last performance before Elton at Dodgers stadium was the Beatles in 1966.

I WAS THERE!! i WAS THERE!! My very first concert ever. I was 13 and my dad took me. I know exactly where I was sitting if the picture was better but oh well... That was the best and set off a lifelong love for Elton John, really great music and many, many concerts to follow... Thanks to Elton John... and my dad!! <3 <3
I was there for the second show. It was my first concert. I thought all concerts would be like that. Nothing has ever come close. What an awesome experience. I still feel these two shows were the absolute pinnacle of Elton's career.
I was there, It was one of the best days of my young life at that time. God he was so great at this concert.
15 years old I was there on Sunday 26th. ALL happened in DAYTIME and if it hadn't been for Daylight Savings Change over...the end (pinball Wizard) would have been in Daylight too. 10 dollars admission 5 dollar T shirts 2 Dollar Programs. I was dropped off by my GRUMPY FATHER at Elysian Park and Sunset blvd bottom of Hill. Walked up to a Ten am Opening to find out the Crowd was already let in by 9am because there were SO MANY!!! Was all alone until I caught up with a Friend from school who I never knew would be there. Cal Worthington and his Dog (LION) were there as Grand Marshall. Crowd through things at him. Saw Crowd on Field with Blankets tossing chicks into the Air...and sometimes tops came off. Saw a CONGA LINE during Bennie and the Jets. Saw who looked like DEE MURRAY in the Crowd as well. Really a LIFE CHANGING EVENT for a FIRST CONCERT. Unbelievable and even JOE WALSH who played Rocky Mountain Way.... and a then UNKNOWN Emmy Lou Harris were fine Openers. I even remember the Scottish Kilts during DIXIE LILLY. It's been over 40 years and I haven't Managed to forget that Fantastic Day. I can't remember two hours ago but Elton John Dodger Stadium...a PLEASURE to remember.

I was there, with just about every kid from my neighborhood. I still have the ticket.
i was there... my second concert.. i was 11.5 yrs old. my mom took my sister and i... we had a blast... and i became a Joe Walsh Fan big time!!!!!!
I was an intrepid 15 year-old who pushed her way to the front past the bikers who waved their beer bottles at me... I can't believe it was 33 years ago... I still have my little kodak instamatic photos of that day!

I was there with my dad too.
I was there also (third base upper level) and remember Emmy Lou being booed. I felt so bad for her but her kind of music wasn't necessarily going to mix well the the Elton crowd and it was a bad choice for an opening act in my opinion. The weather was sunny and beautiful and the memories of that day still stick with me today.
This is the only concert stub I don't have. I saved every other one. Damn! Wish I had the program I bought for likely $2 or $3!
Why hasn't this ever been commercially released?

I CAN'T REMEBER THE DAY I WENT BUT IT SEEMS HE TOSSED A LA DODGER HAT MY DIRECTION BLUE GLITTERS AND ALL..JUST ABOUT TO GRAB IT AND THIS TALL HIPPIE DUDE SNATCHED IT OUT OF THE AIR.... I KINDA THOUGHT IT WAS A TOP HAT STYLE...MUST HAVE BEEN STONED
