Imagine being 14 and hearing this for the first time. My bro had it on 8-Track (dont ask) back in 1975. It is life changing ,.especially Time. Read those lyrics again, its the most truthful description of life i have ever read. Dont have regrets!
I also put Wish You Were Here and Animals on the same level. All three Materpieces!

From the same Pulse Concert, check out RUN LIKE HELL, and also LEARNING TO FLY.

Saw this tour. The gold lasers that were used were so powerful that the FAA had to restrict the airspace over the outdoor stadiums they played in.

Luckily they didn’t have that problem at Earls Court because it’s under ground 👌🏼

This is probably my favorite live performance from the Pulse concert. Just so intense! I was fortunate to see David Gilmour perform this live in 2016, during his solo tour, which was amazing, too. I suggest checking out another live performance from Pink Floyd but from the previous tour (Delicate Sound of Thunder tour in 1988). The song called 'On the Turning Away' It features another incredible David Gilmour guitar solo).

I love seeing someone discover Pink Floyd. You can't really tell someone just how great they are, a person has to experience it for him/herself. I would love to see your reaction to the studio version of Echoes. It's a masterpiece. Don't let the length of some of their songs deter you, in the end you're going to wish they were longer. ✌🏽💜

This guitar solo for some reason i almost get hypmotized. There is smething in it that makes you zone out. Brilliant. The Gilmour Effect is fully in play here. Yes the Gilmour Effect is an actual effect when it comes to guitar playing.

Gilmours' solos speak to a person's soul, no Rock guitarist plays with feel and emotion that David Gilmour does imo.
Pink Floyd is on another level altogether!
"Animals" is another Floyd Masterpiece, you will enjoy, ha. It's another Pink Floyd Concept Album. (1977)
The albums' story is a take-off of George Orwell's 1945 novel, "Animal Farm". The albums representation is especially appropriate considering the political climate today.

Its great that people were in the moment cause cell phones didn't exist.
It was also amazing to be alive when Pink Floyd albums were coming out.
Feel bad for the young people today listening to crap music mp3s on their iphones.
We would all get together and listen to analog albums of Floyd on great stereo and quad hifi systems.

Stax, good reaction, you had thoughtful comments! Glad you're getting into some classics!
*tip: there are channels, who "remaster" songs (like Music From The Heart), tweaking them just enough to get around copywrite issues...so search those out!
I suggest checking out Pink Floyd song, High Hopes, off The Division Bell album... then... check out the *incredible* Nightwish tribute to the band w their rendition of the song...Nightwish, High Hopes live, End Of An Era 2005... Marko sings, and most PF fans *love* this tribute!!
Another classic band that you should definitely check out, is Boston! Try songs, Foreplay/Long Time, and More Than A Feeling.... BIG sound from this band!

Some players can - and will - play 38 notes in 4 seconds. . and it's BORING!
From the first guitar note that David Gilmour plays in the introduction, until the first drum hit of the introduction is 𝘁𝘄𝗼 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘂𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀. . .
Gilmour plays just 38 notes in that two minutes and five seconds . . and you are HANGING on . . . . LISTENING INTENTLY to 𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹𝒀 𝑵𝑶𝑻𝑬!
It's sometimes the spaces between the notes that have the greatest impact and he is a MASTER of that. . Every note COUNTS and every note MEANS something.
