check out the whole Escape Tour, it's just great. The band in this formation was simply breathtaking. For me, Steve was always Journey, no one could replace him. Neal Schon a great guitarist and Jonathan Kean perfect on the piano but also on the guitar on some songs and Steve Smith on the drums also did the perfect job

I was fortunate to see Jeff live a bunch of times here in Vancouver. The first night was in a local blues bar called the Yale Hotel. One of two back to back nights. Not many people had heard of him as he only hand an independent single available. He was selling them after the show so I got to spend some time chatting with him. He and his bandmates were really chill. I came back the following night with a group of friends. Both shows were incredible. I saw him do a couple more double headers in local clubs but once a major label picked him up and he got that first LP out things took off quick. I feel so fortunate to have been there at that time.

I was 17 when this album came out. We were blown away by their debut album. Remember this was the mid 70’s and there were great bands on the radio all day. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, ELO, Supertramp, the Who. So you had to be great to stand out from the rest. You have to listen to the whole album. Every song will make you feel good and you will be smiling the whole time. I do every time I hear it. Which is about 500 times now.

Dan’s performance of Stairway to Heaven is phenomenal. This is such an iconic song that people need to be (or should be) very careful to give it the proper respect that it deserves and not to ‘butcher’ it. Dan does it perfectly! I’ve seen Page/Plant doing this live…. I don’t even have words to describe how great it was! There is no cover that’s better than Dan’s. Yes, Dan has been very inspirational to many! He is WISE BEYOND HIS YEARS!! ETA: I was so caught up in the song, lol. Forgot to thank you for bringing this awesome video reaction!🫶 This was the first song that I learned to play on the guitar.
