Been following them ever since. Sex, Love, & Rock n Roll got me through some rough breakups and dealing with consequences of dumbass teen/mid 20s decisions. There's a reason ive got "Winners & Losers" half sleeve tattooed on my arm. Every new song by them hits as hard as the first time I heard MLM. Hope I get to shake Mike's hand one day and just let him know what an inspiration he was on my guitar playing.
Every new song man just has that sound that brings me back to my youth. Greased back hair ,shitfaced on whiskey flying down the dark empty backstreets on my motorcycle in the middle of the night! Dead end cruiser headed nowhere fast. Nobody thought I'd see 25 . Now 45 and one of the last still standing out of everyone. Blink and they're gone. Enjoy the now kids.

Have listened to Social D since high school in 1983. They have been such a part of my life. Now my kids listen to them and can relate to the songs. Love it. Would love to meet Mike at some point. Such a good person and honest about his experiences which gives strength to others. We are all rebels when we were young, but mellow with age and experience. Ness is awesome. Gives me hope everyday. I sing his songs while making Sunday breakfast for the family.

Social Distortion announce that they have postponed their upcoming North American headlining tour due to the stage-one tonsil cancer diagnosis of vocalist Mike Ness. As he recovers from a recent surgery, the band is also temporarily halting the recording process of their eighth studio album. The previously announced tour, set to kick off on June 30th with support from fellow California rockers The Bellrays, is now being rescheduled for future dates. Get well soon Mike.

I definitely will, and I’d be surprised if it isn’t on vinyl. They always are! We are probably a year away still though since he’s still recovering from the surgery. The plan is to lay down vocals in June, July so album hopefully drops early 25.
