Social D is my all time most favorite band. So many dark times where I wanted to end it all I would play these tapes over and over that I was able to live another day. I owe them my life. Now life is much better! Thanks guys!
I'm so pleased to read this. Plagued by M.E and Fibromyalgia, not a day goes by where those thoughts don't go through my mind. I've lost friends who lost the battle I'm fighting. 'Reach for the sky' is so deep and meaningful to me.
Social D got me through recovering from two plus decades of living in the bottle. Here I am three years alcohol-free and never felt better. Hope you're well, Christina!
I most have watched it 8 times... now I want to drop some P-90s in my Les Paul... Tone for days. Now everytime I go into a guitar center or shop I get a Les Paul off the wall and go over to the Bass room and look for a Fender Bassmen.. lol thanks Mike Ness...
Been listening to Social Distortion since I was a teenager. Introduced them to my kids who also love them. They were the first concert I took my son to. Now I’m going to be 57. Wow!
I have been a fan for over 30 years. Radio K 770 AM from U.of Minnesota in Minneapolis played Social D quite often. Of course I became a devoted follower. Mike Ness' songs spoke to me then , and still do 30+ years later.
Wow....Look at him. We all got so old so fast....I saw them in Hollywood 34 years ago at a place called the Music Machine. I was 14, was the first show I saw live......
I hope one day I can have the pleasure of seeing this timeless band play live. It's a shame I never heard of Social D up until just two years ago. They are one of my favorite and most respected bands out there.
Social D taking it to the limit. Crazy that this show was ten years ago now. The band is in tip top form, and very cool to see a much appreciated European crowd. Closing out with two Cash classics...absolutely phenomenal!!!
Kim Doersam thanks. I'll do that. I thought for sure I was gonna get some kinda hate reply. I just think punk bands were terrible musicians. Social D are the exception.
I saw these guys in concert somewhere around 2015. AMAZING! They didn’t even take too much of a break, straight killed it in Charlotte that night. Love these guys

I agree this is my favorite line up as well and when Ness talks it’s amazing how much I feel the way he does about the same shit and the way we grew up and hell I’m from a small town of about 350 people in northern WV
I just saw them this past Saturday at the House of Blues in Chicago and to say they were awesome is a f'n understatement! I have new respect for Mike as he put SO much into the performance the man literally had sweat dripping off of his FINGERTIPS! WOW!
Ok it's Saha featherston again..a crazed fan..🤣🤣I know you don't read these but just in case..I love your delivery and story telling..I grew up I the south of England.. and my dad loved country and Irish music.he was an amazing painter and I didn't realize that I grew up with a few famous poets from Cornwall England until I was older and they were dying or dead already!!and I was a rebel without a clue..wearing doctor Martin's and riding soccer trains listening to insane music.and got shipped off to Canada when my parents split up.my mum thought the music I was listening to was affecting my distate of the shifty high school I was supposed to be attending 😎🤣🤣🤣

Saw them in NY when somewhere between heaven and hell came out, they were awesome then and still are... Mike doesn't get the credit he deserves, songwriting, guitar playing and being a fucking survivor!! True living legend... Rip Darnell...
Can't say I really dug the last album very much, but this is a very good performance. Ole man Ness can still deliver the goods. Saw him/them several times and they always killed. This show is no different.
I like these guys. I dont know if they're anymore punk than they are rock and roll. But its authentic, no mistaking that. They're actually pretty freakin' great.
Things I love about this band: 1. They give 100% in their performances. I really need to see them!! 2.Fantastic songs 3. Mike's voice, guitar playing and 1930s style 4. Backup vocals

Hell yeah
Social D doesn’t need hall of fame award! they’re a walking institution of rock and roll greatness
P-90s in Mike's 76' Les Paul gold top,an unmistakable tone
My hometown (Fullerton, CA) band. Born a day after Mike and been a fan since the beginning, though there were some rough year there in the ‘80s.
One of the best bands in rock history. They´re amazing
Mike Ness's word are so powerful. He's a true lyrical poet, which I feel there are way to few of nowadays.
Agreed as well as relating to him
Yep. Probably my favorite singer songwriter ever.
Art Alexakis (Everclear) also writes great lyrics.....and yes, Ness is awesome. 👍
He’s an artist that doesn’t live by the words he sings.
@@azff Social Distortion is awesome, Mike Ness is an Asshole. Trust me I know for a fact. His son is a jerk also.
I'm seeing SD in December 2022 in Tempe, AZ. Love this band!!!
Yeah!, I was there. Been "there" with the best band ever since '84. Still filling me with awesome rock n roll vibes at 69.
I've seen this band three times and every time they blew me away. Sounds just as good live as they do in the studio. ❤️🔥
Amazing band, amazing sound, thx for upload !
Greeting from Indonesia !
I get chills when they start "Bakersfield" what a GREAT BAND and GREAT SONG! :)
One of the best concerts/performances that I've watched on UA-cam. They sound amazing especially their Guitar Tones

This is a band that can still bring it. I think this current lineup is the best of the band's history and Ness is only better with age.
